That's what magic are for. :p

He will taste better then. Perfect.
I'll be using a male Drow wizard, always wanted to make a drow. Their basically like dark elves.

Well, he would have done something wrong with his undeadening if his bones rot. Besides, it's a long time since then that everything's that can rot would already rot and washed away, he does move around.

That's not how smell works, unless he came into existence as bones maybe.
So I wanted try out a classic magic duel between wizards. So I have decided to place this out here to see i anyone else would be interested. For an idea of how powerful would be around something like elder scrolls mixed with forgotten realms style of magic for a broad example I know at least a good few should be familiar with at least one. It will be heavily more classical however, (like D&D for example) and by that I mean spell's need concentration and fluid motion to cast, with arcane words and movements needing to be nearly perfect to pull off. Armor of any type interferes with a wizard’s movements, which can cause her spells with somatic components to fail.

I'll put up an example if there's any interest, if allot of interest is shown I might team effort in 2 on 2 form. But mostly likely this will be a duel of one vs one.

Don't let it fire in the first place. So, FF style magic or older?

I assume you mean Final fantasy, never played it, but I know it's a turn based game so I will assume it's kind of like D&D, which is what I'm basing it on. (I think D&D is among the oldest classical styles of the genre)

Edit: the genre of sword and sorcery.

Well, that just doesn't make sense. Niks' a skeleton, skeleton doesn't smell. And his 'clothes' are freshly acquired too!

God, you have no idea how many blood vessels and such are in bone,s that's tons of rot.

Standard mage duel? I'd be up for that.

Standard duel of mages, like classic magic vs magic, without heavy armor or guns and such.

I might set up a thread. I was meaning to introduce one here but never got to it.
You know what I have never really got to do?

Had an actuarial magic duel, still want to try that one day.

A gun that shoots a web of corrosive slime, thick enough that it can't be easily wiped off. In a wide enough spread that it can't be easily dodged. And fast enough that it can't be outrun.

Btw, for sneaking up on a jedi with a gun, why did no one think of the Ysalamiri?

Hence the "im not sure why" part.

Well taking examples from what we know of lasers today.

Fact 1) Lasers are used today to cut things.
Fact 2) Lasers are used today to weld things.
Fact 3) Lasers seem to cauterize wounds and are therefore used in contemporary medicine as a substitute for scalpels because using them reduces bleeding.

What effect would that have on realistic sci-fi laser weapons?

Option 1) Lasers still cauterize wounds, so if I shoot someone with a laser gun he will not bleed. If the diameter of the beam is pretty small and exposure to the beam is pretty short, my opponent will have a tiny but sealead wound with nearly no effect...

Option 2) The energy output of a laser gun dramatically increases, leading to spontaneous vaporization of human tissue, resulting in an effect comparable to an tiny explosion. Cauterization is less likely, but wounds are probably pretty superficial, as the beam does not penetrate that deeply.

Unless you change the physics of how lasers work in the future.
