I've always seen the Easterlings as Arabian, but then they made them Europeans wearing outlandish armour in the movies and that's a bit disappointing.

Probably better that way, I mean, if not that would mean all the evil races of men who sided with the Dark Lord were basically minorities...they dodged a bullet if anything.

That's from 'Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves' right? Good film, and the Arabians definitely look like the Redguards. Then again, They're supposed to (As far as I am aware (And I'm pretty sure it is right (I mean it is kind of obvious, but maybe it is just a coincidence (Doubt it though(Obviously))))).

I personally believe the creation of the Redguards was solely to show that Medieval fantasy setting does not have to be completely made up of white races. (Lord of the Rings not even a token ethnic group of the lot of them, almost as bad as the Stormcloaks)

Hence why Elder Scrolls is now my fav fantasy setting of all times.

Looks cool, though I was left wondering how Oravos got an army of Akaviri. And Oravos would be Morrowinds first king as far as I know. (they had a queen but that's a queen and it was a ceremonial title nonetheless.)

In that case it makes more sense to ally with the Thalmor , they have better mages, are more organized, are closer, have arguably the best navy (which would help defend trade lines) and can actually provide assistance should war rear it's head.
