I thought this was going to be a cool thread where we relate our experiences during notable events in history that we've lived through, but then it was just existential bullshit and I became extremely disappointed and wrote this post complaining about it.

I was in second grade during the 9/11 terrorist attack. I was celebrating my birthday when the Principal had all teachers turn on their TVs and go to the news. I don't think that was appropriate for a child to watch, but who knows.
