Name: Cyrin Val, the Duelist
Age: 20
Allegiance: ASGARD
History (Optional): Cyrin is little more than a young knight of the Imperium trying to fill the shoes of his father, a figure whose virtue and renown proved integral for shaping the man that Cyrin is fast becoming.
Personality: Honesty is Cyrin's defining characteristic, and he has never shied away from telling the truth regardless of the consequences. He is still young and, perhaps, a little naive. He likes to believe that there is good to be found in all people, and that his sight will find it. Even when his life is in danger, he is reluctant to use lethal force in subduing opponents.
Tome: Cyrin's tome takes the form of a pair of blue-tinted, half-moon spectacles. They give him the abilities associated with the Greater Power known as True Sight.
  • Truth of Motion: Cyrin can see the veracity of intent behind an action. This has several uses, for example when dueling this means he can spot a feint, but it is not all powerful, and it does not mean he can see what his enemy's next move.
  • Truth of Emotion: Cyrin can see the aura of emotions that surround a person, but when someone is conflicted it is difficult to read which will most influence their actions.
  • Truth of Diction: Cyrin can see the veracity of speech, but this is guided by what the speaker believes is true and can be confounded by clever syntax.

Other: When he is practicing his swordsmanship, he doesn't wear his tome. Truth of Motion lowers his guard, and he does not wish to rely on it in a fight.

Thanks OP.
I'll post as soon as I can, just letting y'all know I'm still here.
@hoppiholla391 I'd love to, and I appreciate how long you've made it available, but there's no way I'll be able to keep up the way things are panning out right now so I'll have to officially withdraw. ;_;
@Oni_ I use the noise reduction on every recording I do, regardless of location. It removes all the irritating background sounds & that ever-present "humming" sound which I don't notice.
@Oni_ Using Audacity's noise reduction can mostly fix background sounds, don't know about echoes though.
Once he had opened the doors of the Tower, the gaping portal that appeared before him slowly drew him towards it. He dug in his heels, but otherwise didn't resist the effect, unsure whether it was normal or a trap. As he slid across the floor tiles, he turned to address his newly met party.

"Is this the way?" he paused as the dwarf soared by his head, hurdling into the portal. "Oh, okay," and with that simple utterance, he relaxed his muscles and fell face forwards into the coruscating singularity.

Athalzerus was launched from the portal in a high-domed room, where he slid face-first across a mosaic of small, but clearly not fragile tiles, until his momentum ground to a halt. Carefully, he stood up, turning to make sure the rest of the group had made it through before nodding to himself.
I will do my best to post tomorrow, when I wake up, while I have a cup of coffee in front of me. It'll probably be the only time to myself I have.
@Flynn I've had a busy week, and haven't found enough time to post in any of my RPs. I have a little bit of time before I need to sleep tonight, so I'll try and do it now.

Edit: Are we all going to be in the same room, or do you want me to post as if I had just gotten sucked into the portal?
Forgive me for disappearing, I'm catching up now. -_-
