War. War never changes. Welcome to the new world post-war this is a different much harder place. Most humans have bitten the dust after the bombs fell but their are few who braved this new frontier. South Dakota,an often forgotten state except for its famous monument has been able to survive with just a few bombs hitting this vast expansive land. It's survivors were able to investigate the new land just days after the nuclear holocaust and found this rather untamed land not so different from before. However this soon changed as people from other areas started to hear of a place where the fires of the bombs didn't reach. So started many factions in the state some became small empires while others lasted days before being killed off by rivals who wanted land.
With all the conflict their is also the new creatures created from radiation some like bloatflys and radroaches were nothing but new creatures that were only found in the badlands appeared. These things called Steelheads were created from government labs and escaped to the wastelands they have skin that has been known to bounce bullets off and has stopped anyone from reaching Mount Rushmore which is said to be where advanced weaponry left behind by the US government lays inside the stone behemoths.The year is 2271 and with tension rising among everyone with the rumors of a secret way getting into the mountain this year will surely be remembered by the ones who live through it.
