I mean I started writing when I was 9, and no other kind of writing has ever been as fun as roleplaying. So I mean I really don't think that day will come in the foreseeable future.

I've been writing since... I don't even know. XD I started roleplaying at 11. Trust me, everyone gets to a point where they just need a nice long break. That break is usually the deciding factor. XD
I just hit my 13th year this month, actually. XD

Pfft, I'm likely to become a long time roleplayer too. I don't see any reason to quit, it's a fun and efficient way of improving your writing style.

Oh, you'll find reasons.... but if you are in it for long enough... even when those reasons come around, you won't be able to. XD You'll drive yourself a bit mad. It's funny how it works. :p

Well, if that day comes... you'll see exactly what I mean. :D
YAY! I like Optimist!

(I like to see you squirm and break under the pressure that will be induced to you here. )

lol J/K! :D ( )

welcome to GUILD!

Well usually I would agree, but when I found Skallagrim's Roleplaygateway account I kind of figured otherwise. Because I realized just how long he's been roleplaying. So him totally quitting roleplaying is, at least in my opinion, unlikely.

Yup, Skalla is another one of us old farts... that can't seem to leave even against his best efforts and attempts at sanity outside of RPing. XD >.> I feel like I know this all too well...
TheBiddz said
Well if Skalla doesn't come back, we're gonna need some new overarching plot xD I dont think we can waste time forever.

No worries kiddo, if Skalla doesn't come back... which he will... cause I'll probably poke Joe, and he'll poke Skalla... and bam! but if not, for some bizarre reason, that involves skalla getting some foreign disease and falling over dead, I'm sure we can pull something together. ;) My services are usually always available. XD
I wouldn't call it "Fighting". We've had some disagreements in the past, mainly out of having two totally different styles of RPing. XD

Hi Brovo and Guru!!

Hi.

Bunnita said Oh! And I likes the Advanced part of the forum. I been in several... but they died or the GM ran away! U,u!

Sadly, this can happen a lot if you don't find the right set of people with an interesting enough of a RP to keep things moving. The initial interest is important, but even more so... creating continual interest is how most RPs survive. Specially in advanced, where things can seem super slow sometimes.

Bunnita said But I likes advanced cuz it dun move too fast and peeps like to write lots and I likes to reads them all up!!! ^^

Yup, all very true. I personally enjoy detail.

Bunnita said But k, so it seems like the both of you dun like the high-casual and low-advanced terms? Right.

Right. Well, it's not that I personally have anything against them. I mean, whatever floats their boats... but usually, when they post that... it usually can be described as either advanced or Casual. If I can break down the mentalities here... I think High Casual has more to do with... "I want to do advanced, but I'm either not confident enough to do that, or I want it some what relaxed cause RL may or may not be getting in the way, but I don't want to tell them that." while, Low Advanced is more of a Ego thing...either they want to be in advanced and not quite at that level, or they might do low advanced just to do more advanced post and get some epeen stroking from fellow users who are probably all casual goers who want to give advanced a try... XD I'm not saying this is ALL HC and LA... but, I can pretty much make a good guess on that. Plus, there can sometimes be a stigma that comes with those too. So, you might not attract users who you might normally be able to draw in.

Bunnita said So if I was to start something, then I should just invite peeps from casual looking for 'high-casual' into advanced RPing? But for serious now, is it wrong to drop an interest check in casual forums looking for 'high-casual' peeps to join in an advanced RP?

Ummm... I wouldn't say it's wrong to invite casual people into advanced RPs. I have before, personally. Just kind of a "Hey, give this a shot... I promise not to be too strict on ya". Usually only a few. If they are indeed casual RPers... it's usually not a good idea to have too many of them though. There have been times where a RP would be reported and a mod would bump an RP down for not really meeting the requirements of an set level. We don't do this too much though, cause it's not really a big deal for most people... but still... you should try to keep it at that level.

Bunnita said Oh! And I should call muhself a DM toooo!! DUNGEON MASTER!!!! MEEE!! ...sounds kinky...! xDDDD Right.

I think Skallagrim won't be coming back. Seems like whenever someone takes a hiatus in general it can be anywhere from 3 to 12 months. Of which you usually have time to find another thing to do as a hobby.

Aren't you just as chipper and bright as ever! XD

Nice new name, btw...

When Skallagrim gets back there's gonna be a lot of information to pass onto him, because a combination of a lot and absolutely fuck all has happened.

What is it? Perhaps I can be of assistance. :) I know Arena stuff like the back of my hand.

I'm sure Skalla won't mind. Wouldn't be the first time I've dealt with his and Rilla's stuff while they were MIA. XD
