So is this settled?Problem solved, no more arguments?

Until someone tries to fight me with a "VibroBlade". XD
. Yes, the effects of a weapon need clear explanation (just like fake materials and magic systems), but while their method of doing so should be stated, 'semi-realistic' fights simply can't happen without some form of handwaving there.

Which is basically what I'm saying. You cannot just simply take something and say it works... Just because I say it does.
By no means am I saying vibri blades aren't possible... But when it comes to battle... I Will question the effectiveness of them.

I refer to my previous point; We're technical about things when we have to.

There is a reason why things have been done a certain way for so long. If you want to skip the technicalities... Fine. But when issues arrive in battle you could have saved yourself a lot of hassle. If you want creative writing... There are other forums for that. The arena has always been detail detail detail. And whether you like it or not, out of unwillingness or just pain laziness in writing... It will always come back to it.

I get where you're coming from Guru, but we don't really do it like that around here.

Lol... Ummm... I know I've been mia for a bit... But I also know that that is completely incorrect.

We have no good reason to do so, at all. Because:"Well if this doesn't work, then this doesn't work."We already have tools made out of fake materials. Examples:Khazna's Starlhrim BladesClockwork Man's Elmorium Clockwork SpiderBecause everything is possible in a fantasy environment.

Do these materials explain how they function? If so.. fine. If not, they better get to the drawing board. I'm not denying the vibration weapons can work if properly created. However, I do not believe that done so in the way you have described is beneficial to the user. Is it possible... sure. I imagine, if you put enough pieces together in your head and figured out how to make it work to your advantage, then perhaps it could be... Skalla no doubt does his in a way that reduces any potential negative side effects of using said weapons. If others managed to do something similar... ok. However, until they can tell me how it works... I'll just laugh.

Same thing goes for any other weapon or item people have... Show me that it actually theoretically works or get it out of my face. XD Point blank. And I'm positive Skalla will agree. This is how the Arena has always worked. Otherwise... I have a fire user.. who can now manipulate time and space.. cause why? Magic! Fo sho! lol... get out of here with that. XD
Like I said, Vibro weapons are possible.. but it's not really the weapons, it's the energy from the weapon. ^.^

*Points to magic.*"Logic"

Even magic has some essence of logic. Nothing just magically happens, even magic. It's all explained. So no.. vibration just happening is not a thing.
I'm sorry... Let me make that clearer. There is just no 'hand-waving'. Let me make that clearer. This might be fiction, but we still always hold logic to everything we do here. It's what keeps the arena together and what dictates a battle.

Also.. I checked Skall's character, because I know him better than that...

(High) Vibro-Blade appears as a Bastard Sword-- These are the standard Templar issued blade weapons. They are surrounded by an invisible, high-frequency energy field that gives them damage capabilities equal to energy weapons. They can slice through armor very quickly and given time can cut through the heavy fortifications or doors on ships and on worlds.

(High) Sonic lance -- This is a sophisticated Templar weapon. It unleashes powerful vibrations in a considerable area in front of it, literally shaking apart all unlucky enemies in the area, no matter the bulk. The longer the knight charges it the stronger the effects of the sonic burst.

Which both fit what I said earlier, vibration being used around a weapon as energy as opposed to the actual weapon itself.

This roleplay has fuckin' magic. Let's just handwave it and say it works. Alright?

LMAO... No one hand waves around here.

Also, I could have told you Skalla was full of shit. He always has been. :p
