I am tempted by this but also a little intimidated.

So this would be pretty cool. I usually don't do fandoms but I LOVE skyrim and I think its a broad enough of a setting that it allows a lot of creative freedom.

I agree that the attack of Helgen would be the best starting place. Its an event that would draw people from all over the realm and also gives everyone a great starting point.

Winterhold works for me - they could be meet up there and continue on the Helgen or meet up after they have all escaped from Helgen, or whatever.

I have a question or two - can we fabricate relationships between our character and existing NPCs? For example, could my character be a princess of one of the existing holds?
And additionally, are we limited to existing places in Skyrim or can we create our own?

I haven't done group RP in forever, and nothing really ever with a distinct GM - usually its all collaboration, so bear with me if I stumble through it at first.

Welcome to my new and improved interest check! I am back from a six month hiatus because my cat spilled my beer on my Mac and fried it. I know, a most tragic story and eloquent excuse, but now I am back and ready to kick things into gear. Let's start with the basics:

• Call me Sly, Sylvia, or Gypz.
• I'm a 26 year old female located in the EST.
• This interest check is for 1x1, small group, and forum based roleplay.
• I consider myself high casual with several paragraphs per post but I definitely prefer quality, plot driven responses over just length. Give me some sort of reaction and then action - it keeps the story flowing!
• I own my own business so my schedule varies - sometimes I can post several times a day, sometimes only in the morning and evenings.
• I ask all my partners are over 18 as my writings often contain mature themes.
• I guess I'm going to have to start asking for a writing sample. I don't have ridiculous standards but I want to make sure our styles match before dumping a ton of effort into planning something.

Explanation of Content

Alright, now that's over. So here's the drill with all of the following content. I am working on my own world and I am working on maps, characters, lore, and other details that will hopefully end up in a novel or the very least a nice RPG. I have absolutely no experience in tactical or tabletop RPGs of any nature. Creating the maps is a fun hobby and a great way for my to organize my thoughts and to give me a visual to see what needs to be further developed.

Within this world are characters, and the list grows all the time. The key reason I started roleplaying was to get practice writing and, most importantly, developing my characters. So while they were written for this world and these particular settings does not mean that they can not fit into your plots and settings, but if you are in need of either, we have a great place to start.

If a map has blank spots that means the details have yet to come up. If we are successfully writing a story together and you want to add some concepts to the map, just let me know! I really need some help fleshing this map out and creating other civilizations.

Biography

Jasilyn Majila has been captain of The Vendetta for six long years. She is a merciless leader that earns her living primarily through raids, kidnapping, and double dealing. Her crew would follow her to the ends of the ocean; they are utterly devoted to her.

The Captain hails from the volcanic island of Tsala, home of the Majila Tribe. The Majilans had a matriarchal society run by the fiercest of the island women's warriors. Jasilyn was only twenty-one years old when the pirates came.

It was during the tribe's fertility ritual - a huge celebration that involved the whole village. They were ambushed and the majority of the tribe were killed or captured, including Jasilyn herself. Life as captive on their ship was hell. The crew was brutal and cruel - each night she fell asleep to the cries and screams of her fellow warriors. They had been reduced to animals.

Gradually the screams lessened, or the ceased all together. Her companions had all perished or been sold off into slavery. One night one of the men of the crew opened her cell, the illest of intentions in mind.

It was the chance she had been waiting for.

She was on him as soon as the cell door opened, scaling up his body easily and wrapping her arms around his jaw bone. A quick jerk and he lay on the cell floor, quite dead and missing his sword.

That was the beginning of her revenge. She escaped her captors and preyed on them, one by one, until finally the captain himself fell under her blade. The crew surrendered at that moment and Jasilyn of the Majila tribe had been captain of The Vendetta ever since.

Biography

"My mother was born a slave, or at least that is what she always told me. That did not explain her high cheek bones, or the way she could look regal by simply lifting in chin in just the right way. Perhaps that is why he fell in love with her, the day she first arrived in Sabal. The Pharaoh looked down on my mother with a smile and forever changed her life - and mine.

She was a gift to his Queen, given light task of looking after the Queen's cats. She was so young then - younger than I am now. I always wonder how she did it. How a lowly slave girl conquered the Pharaoh's heart, so completely that he married her. She was his zawjat thany, or lesser wife, but he treated her like a Queen. She would never forget the early years of her girlhood in her mother's golden rooms and open balconies; green courtyards and fountains with warm, clear waters. Then she died. And everything changed.

My mother fell ill shortly after the Queen announced her third pregnancy. We all had high hopes, the poor Queen had labored over two dead babies already. I had always admired her though she always treated me with cold looks and silence. She was a true Queen of ice, ruling over the harem with an iron fist and no compromises. I wonder if my mother ever knew how much she hated her - her opposite in every way. Kind, beautiful, smiling, grateful for the freedom that came with love and being loved. I have no doubt the Queen had a hand in her death.

I need no more proof than I have now - I am the eternal living example. I was tossed from the beautiful rooms that belonged to my mother, the Queen, I was told, needed them for her baby to come. As if we were not in the biggest palace, in the biggest kingdom in the land. As if there were no more rooms, rooms much bigger and more beautiful, than the ones I called home. I had a new home now. The eabd alharim, or slave harem. I was to live among them as if I were not a princess of the blood, the daughter of the Pharaoh himself, and I was to learn their ways. I was to be the forgotten princess. And so I was.

Until now. The Queen's baby died, like all those before, like all those to come. And now she is going to make use of me - the daughter of the her king's lover, the very spit of them both. She has picked me out a new husband - she is looking to secure the bloodlines after her own failure. She is pulling me from the shadows, putting me on display as the star of her harem. As if I am not the ghost of my mother, come back to haunt her. As if she is not afraid.

But she should be. Because now she is old and having children is beyond her. The families of Sabal all have their eye on the throne - but there can only be one. I will emerge from the shadows as a princess of light. I will take this new husband and together we shall climb the golden steps towards our victory. If he cannot, I shall step on him along the way and bury him in my glory. I will be the ghost that haunts her till her final day. And her throne shall be mine."

@Aristocles oh wow I like your maps! I was going to try to make a whole world map but I didn't like how it was comming out so I figured I'd start with a map of all the kingdoms and put it all together once I finish.

There are a ton of plots that can go inside of Ogla vs. Sabal

are there any particular ideas you've been working on?

I havent tried the Oglian Cup yet - its based off a short story I wrote in college. could be fun for sure.

Seeking partner for a 1x1 MFxMF Fantasy Romance (18+)

Hey there! I'm Sly. I am in the process of revamping my interest checks today, but I'd like to hit the ground running and get something started!

Welcome to Ogla, a kingdom based on medieval and roman fusion. Ogla is ruled by the widowed Queen Nakra and her three daughters: Eza, Tuelith (My female character), and Zina.

It is Tuelith's comming of age and she is expected to make her debut and begin her search for a husband. To her dismay, her mother parades one worthless scoundrel after the other in front of her and the pressure for her to choose a suitor mounts, and one boy (your male character) in particular seems to have his sights set on the middle princess. Is it for love? Status? Riches? Power? It is hard to be sure.

Her only respite is her comrade in arms, so to speak - (Your Female Character). She has been Tuelith's (friend, rival, enemy?) since the beginning and both girls are pressed by their parents to make a choice. (YFC) is being heavily pursued as well, by (MMC), and the two girls find themselves confidants to one another. An unexpected relationship develops between the two girls, but with high stakes.

Well, that was confusing.

So yeah, basically, we each have one male and one female character. The female characters are making their season and the pressure to pick a husband is on. Each of the girls is courted by a boy, and any amount of romance can go on between them. Honestly, the more, the better, because it will only make the romance between the girls all the more interesting.
