Jorick gave us a clue as to how to kill him - he suggested a gun, of all things.
Seemingly the only way to rid Jorick of his ego is to kill him.
Jorick gave us a way to pop his ego.
Jorick secretly wants us to pop his ego.
Jorick secretly hates his ego.
Jorick is thus self-loathing.
Therefore Jorick doesn't have an ego at all, he's actually deeply insecure.
Therefore killing him is not the only way to get rid of his ego, because it doesn't exist.
We succeeded in popping his ego already.

I only add milk to tea when I'm making chai tea, otherwise -fuck- milk.

You defile chai tea with milk? You're dead to me. The only tea I add milk too is standard black tea - breakfast tea, as it's sometimes called. Anything else, no way. Yeuch. And anyone else who does it any way other than the very specific way I was raised to enjoy it is literalz worse than Hitler.
I think I just won Godwin's Law. Can you win Godwin's Law?

I think there are times when we all genuinely hate someone and we either fix them or they get the fuck out. Panda is a great example. Ever. Single. Spammer joined in on that shitstorm. And yet she came back. She worked on her grammar and spelling, she flung insults, she made great jokes. I totally forgot about her till now.I miss Panda :'(

Sorry I completely lost my train of thought there because I suddenly remembered Panda and fell down a nostalgia hole.

True; I suppose I was referring to people who face more consistent "hatred" rather than more radical, instantaneous backlash generated by actual and intense dislike (see: Darthwarman). Nat's a good example, really, though somewhat of a special case. In fact, I might be a good example - I was an idiot, an insecure 15-year-old, back when I joined, involved with the pointless thread and all that, and that whole thread got everyone riled up; but I doubt the hatred or even irritation at this one thread and the people in it was nearly as high as folks professed. It was just another bit of drama, a new plot twist on Spam: The Sitcom.
I'm sad that I never got to really know some of the older Spam members - not those who left before my time, but those who have faded at the same time as I've found my stride here. Folks like you, actually - although you've returned now. I saw enough of them to like them but not know them, sorta sucks.

I have never used milk in tea. Why do people do that?

That's just how I was raised to drink tea, as were most people I know here in Britain. I prefer the taste with a tiny bit of milk in it - though most people think I drink my milky tea very strong, i.e. closer to "pure" black than them.

Cold. Iced. Sweet. In a gallon pitcher. And, I love hot coffee, cold coffee, and cold tea.

... so you never drink tea just... like... by putting a bag and a bit of milk in hot water and brewing it? That is so goddamn alien to me. My grandmother's staying with us right now and we genuinely go through about 1.5-2 pints of milk a day just on tea, between 4 of us.

I fuckin love tea of all kinds. I'll try any kind, any way I can get it.During the summer iced green tea with honey is a lifesaver from this heat.

Iced green tea sounds intriguing, I don't think I've ever had it.

It really is. We bitch and moan about the new people but by the time some of the old people filter out the new people seem as if they've been here forever. Now without join dates, I can't really remember whose an oldfag and whose not. It doesn't really matter. There's something disgustingly special here. A lot of sites die when the old members leave. Or they just become impossible to return to. I used to frequent a site and was extremely into the community, made some great friends. Went back like a year ago and damn it was weird. I had outgrown the site. Went back just now, and it seems like a ghost town. Spam doesn't do that. We're all vaguely intelligent and can handle intelligent discourse. There can be definitive conversations had. It's a nice community even if we "hate" each other.

I second much of this. Half the reason we all profess to love or hate certain members, or even prescribe to that old "hierarchy" that existed, is just because all the drama is entertaining. It's exactly the same reason why entertainment (books, television shows, the news [hardihar I made a joke about news quality I'm so original]) all center about a piece of drama - a problem or issue - or conflict between people (much of reality TV, for example). It's entertaining, it's something to do. It's taken too seriously sometimes, sure, and that's as unfortunate as people beating eachother up over WWE. But the reason even those who are "hated" stay here is because damn, in reality this place is fairly unique, and if they're willing to stick out the bullshit it's probably because in reality they do feel a particular affinity for Spam's unique flavour.

Y'know, I get sickeningly idealistic and sappy about this place past 1am. Fuck you all in the ass. Ah, sweet hatred, that's better.

Who is this sophi everyone keeps talking about

A mod from OldGuild; part of the true old guard of Spam, so to speak. Involved with many a shenanigan. She disappeared a while back, unfortunately, I don't know why.

Or, more mysteriously and melodramatically: someone who's a lot nicer than they always get credit for.

One day I'll try tea the way you English drink it. One day.

How the hell do you drink it?

As for everyone else - please, lower thy weapons. There is no need for tea and coffee to war with one another; follow the example of hot chocolate and Horlicks by remaining peaceful and cooperative. Even though coffee is infinitely fucking worse, I begrudgingly admit that it's extremely useful for my developing caffeine addiction. Starbucks, what would us basic white bitches do without you?

WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR DECLARATION OF LOVE?
Was it all just a game to you, Drakel? Did it mean nothing? For shame.

Glad to know I'm not the only one. There's something startlingly unique about Spam; I can't put my finger on it.
