All of those tiny little countries in Europe are near each other. Scotland to Austria is the equivalent distance from where I am right now to Vancouver.

Well done, you have a big country, have a sticker. This guy was Turkish, though. He should really know better, it's far closer to home.

I do too. Good luck in London mate, watch out - prices ain't skimpy there.

Trust me, I know. The £60k of uni debt awaiting me attests to that already. Ew.

I wish I were following the issues of Scottish/English relations (and even Irish/English relations) more closely.

No, you don't - if you care even a tiny bit you just end up getting dragged into arguments about it all the time. Literally the only thing anyone knows about Scotland anywhere else boils down to Braveheart and the IndyRef, so you can't even imagine the amount of times I had to discuss it when I was away. Although we did meet one guy who thought Scotland was near Austria.

Aw dangit, I was wanting you to go nuts again. ;DAnd no, it was a tip off by the treasury. 3 days to go, excited?

It was contempt, more than anger or anything, last time - mainly because I'm being subjected to an awful lot of uninformed codswallop on my News Feed right now (by which I don't mean anything "Yes"-related, I mean people who just have no idea what they're talking about.) Also - without a balancing, alternate view, any representation of the situation may as well be propaganda, as folk here mostly live abroad and don't necessarily know enough about the issue to form their own opinion.
Anyway, I wouldn't say "excited". What happens will happen; I'm moving to London in three weeks, it won't affect me directly quite as much as if I were staying in Edinburgh. I just hope the Scottish people make the right decision.
The temptation to make an gerbilling joke... my less-appropriate friends have clearly had a negative effect on me. Also, snapalicious they're cute :3. Rats are mucho-underrated pets.
See, this is exactly what I mean. Something negative about independence? Immediately completely dismissed as scare-tactics and lies, as some conspiracy on the part of Westminster. "Cameron forced them to say that. It's lies. Don't listen to anything negative, guys, don't think about it, ignore the experts!" Jesus.
And I'm not laughing at the idea of the suffering of the Scottish people. In my view, anything that discourages independence is benefiting them. I'm laughing because of the blow to the Yes campaign, which I'm averse to on multiple levels, and because of Salmond's complete incompetence in dealing with the setback.

Don't worry, I can still cause a war because I want their Ghost Oil. We'll pretend it's because we think they have Ghost Weapons of Mass Ghost Destruction, it can't fail.
