Last party I was at, some guy with a concave chest lay down on the ground, and we all took turns drinking cheap red wine from the hollow. All 20-30 of us. We were all very, very, very drunk.
This Saturday is my friend's 18th party, and we're considering hiring a male stripper to randomly turn up at some point during the night. No idea when, all my friend'll hear is a ring on the doorbell, and on the doorstep will be a semi-naked man wearing a naval officer's uniform who's all too eager to show his "new recruit" the ropes.

I thought you meant "sick in the head", but, uh, yknow, good luck with the whole getting-better-and-not-dying thing. *pat pat*. There there.

I tend to avoid Advanced because I honestly don't have time for that length of post every day, but when I've read other RPs in Advanced out of curiosity I've noticed that the quality isn't often actually any higher than 'High Casual' RPs I've been in, if not lower. So perhaps it's the higher proportion of original RPs versus fandom RPs that separates it from many better-quality Casual RPs... it'll be interesting to see how the different 'levels' establish themselves now they've been rebooted in 'Newguild'.

Oh, hey, it's that person who gave me pertinent life advice when I was 15 and too stupid to realise it was good advice.
Hello person.

I thought that was the fluoride in the water.

No, it's the dangerous levels of dihydrogen monoxide (yes, I'm shamelessly ripping off this joke.)

I was actually going to say that when I saw that this thread was bumped."Doesn't it cost as much or even more in electricity to mine bitcoin than they are worth?"

I know exceedingly little about these sorts of things, but it seems to me Bitcoin was only profitable for those who bought in early, when it was much easier to mine them. Nowadays... very much not worth it. I think the Bitcoin craze will peter out before long, because of that.
(Never fear, Captain State-the-Obvious is here!)

We were only wrestling, I swear. And then things slipped.

It sounds like there were too many banana peels involved for this to be ordinary wrestling. Suspicious.
My reaction exactly, Hank. We're not sure if by "banning from school trips" he only means ones around the city, but people were saying apparently it applies to a ski trip to the US that people have already paid for. A protest is currently being organised, though I'm trying to argue that we should at least attempt a reasonable discussion with him before resorting to mass hair-dying. Oh, the fun fun times of being in a state school trying to compete with private schools.

I saw a statistic somewhere or other claiming that $17 million is spent daily in electricity bills in order to mine $4 million worth of Bitcoins, because of the ridiculous amount of computing power needed to crack the algorithms at this point. Not sure about the accuracy of the data, but it's food for thought.
