My worst was probably the first time I went out drinking with friends. I'd had a shit-tonne to drink before, and had never hit my limit, so I completely misjudged it, downed a wine-bottle-sized bottle of rum, puked in McDonald's, and stumbled home through what used to be the most dangerous street in Scotland. I then continued to be ill far into the small hours of the morning. The embarrassment was significantly worse than how awful I physically felt (although I did avoid a hangover, thank fuck.)
Srsly, I'm never misjudging that badly again. Shudder.

Iron man technically isn't a robot.

Spiderman has betrayed you.
I'll do Iron Man, and if Mahz doesn't want to use it, oh well. I'll do another to help out with the project afterwards.

It's because it's now a choice to wear it that makes it not oppressive.

I understand why - I just think it's interesting. It says a lot about human nature that we repurpose a symbol like that.

Corsets can be cool, just so long as they're not taken to extremes. (They can give you some serious health issues if taken too far. They also start looking kind of scary when they're tied too tightly -- no one should have a 16 inch waist. x.x)

Basically my opinion on them, or with anything else. Moderation is the key. I just find it interesting that what's typically looked at as a symbol of female oppression has actually been adopted by some as a way of empowering themselves - of feeling good, rather than repressed. It's a curious wee thing.

Activities: Most of my time is spent on academics and intellectual pursuits, these days. I take about 150% of the normal maximum number of courses allowed at my level, and spend much of my "free" time skipping ahead on my courses and learning outside of them, leaving me little time for hobbies. Any truly free time I have is spent with my friends, or grabbing the occasional chance to have a completely lazy day and just kill time on here.

Why do you like them so much?
Well, as you can see, we do care. The loss of a close pet... most people have been through it or something similar and we know it's painful. And we're sorry you have to go through it now. It's horrible. :/ so, my sympathy and understanding, and that of others, go your way. I'm sorry.

That first part is disturbing but true. The sucking at art thing doesn't really apply to pixel art (despite the name) as much as you might think. I'm garbage at art, can't even draw a stick figure properly unless I put an embarrassing amount of effort into it, but I was able to make the Cyberman without much trouble. I found a pixel art Cyberman head that I recreated by altering the dimensions, but for everything else I only had normal pictures of Cybermen as a reference. Actually formulating the appearance in pixels was much easier than I expected, though tweaking the dimensions to make it look right when it was all put together gave me some issues. It turned out well enough that anyone familiar with Doctor Who would probably recognize it without any trouble, and if I can do it then anyone with enough motivation to try it and actually take the time necessary for it can definitely make something decent.Seriously, I'm so atrocious at art that the last time I attempted to draw something more complicated than basic geometric shapes and scribbles was in 7th grade when I had some assignment that required me to do so. I felt so embarrassed by my shitty drawing that in 8th grade and onward I simply refused to do the art stuff asked of me in school and willingly took point deductions on assignments for not doing the drawing portions of things. I could be the poster child for being shit at art, and I still managed to make a passable pixel Cyberman. It's super simple when you reduce it to the pixel level, so simple that even I can do it.

"Disturbing" pretty much sums up 1×1. All that is sweet and innocent must die there.

Well, I appreciate your faith in me/everyone! Maybe I'll give it a shot, seems we're rather similar in terms of aversion to and experiences of embarrassment after attempting to venture into the art world. But, as simple as pixel art might be, don't downplay yourself - sounds like art is very much the opposite of your comfort zone, but the cyberman you made is freaking awesome. I'm not gonna go on a pep talk, but yknow, take some pride and whatever. :)
Iron Man, here I come.
Hey, I've had non-smut 1x1s. Ironically, those were done through PM and email, whereas unbounded perversions are seemingly something to be proudly paraded.
I have a feeling the Cyberman would just act as inspiration for more Doctor Who fanfic erotica, and there is already far too much of that in existence. Slitheen x Cybermen, plz no.

On a more relevant note, these are pretty awesome - someone should try doing Iron Man. I'd contribute if I had any artistic ability whatsoever, but I know I don't, considering my attempts to lrn2art have generally resulted in mannish tears of frustration and many a broken pencil.
