I actually like CDs in a way, because listening to an album in its entirety often tells a story. It's way too tempting with MP3s to just put everything on shuffle, which isn't necessarily improper, but sometimes you lose the impact of the music that way.

It's interesting - my parents have spoken before about how songs have changed because of the format they're listened to. Songs used to be a segment of a deeper, ongoing story, told through the whole album, as they were all listened to in a row. It was an art to transition one song to the next, one piece of the story to another. That art has largely been lost now, when each song is written like a single, intended to be listened to in a self-contained way rather than as part of a larger whole. Maybe that's why people feel the quality and degree of meaning in songs has decreased. The connection has to be made in minutes, not an hour.
Oh, it gets so much worse by the end of season three. So much worse.

Dinner and a movie first, hon.

For Halo's transformation to be complete, he needs either a school girl outfit or a nurse outfit.

I really would rather avoid coming off like the Joker in The Dark Knight.

lol No make up campaign for women? I've been doing that for at least the past four years. Last time I wore any kind of make up was when I was concealing a hickey from the previous night's "rough housing" when we went to Mike's family's house. Nothing like allowing your in-laws know how you fuck your partner... The kid is already proof that we do.

It's not a no-makeup campaign; it's for breast cancer awareness. Raised £8million so far.

In news that will surprise exactly nobody,

They're not wrong, but I do wish those sorts of people would pick their battles a little better. Yknow, combat things that are actually offensive rather than complaining about something that's raising money for a good cause.

Wait, I'm confused. Is Halo a dude or...?

Yep, though considering how much more complimentary people are about me as a woman than as a man, hints are seemingly being dropped that I should change that.
Can't remember where or when, but I do believe they found evidence that octopi are super fucking smart when it comes to things like problem solving - much more so than most animals.

You could easily pass for a girl.

I'll take that as a compliment! I could have quite a lot of fun, with this... I and one of the others who was nominated were said to question the sexuality of many a person. Teehee.

Needs more mascara :P that being said:

I'll get your advice on it next time. ;) I felt very fabulous indeed. Can't believe I walked down what used to be the most dangerous street in Scotland like that at 2am... the choices we make when drunk, dear lord.
Why thank you. And I may well try that some time, I reckon I could pull it off, though where I live isn't necessarily the best place to cross-dress too often.
The power of the beard is ultimate.

I am not allowed to shave my beard, becouse it confuses people who think I suddenly de-age by 5-6 years.

Know that feel, brah. On the plus side, it makes getting served in bars much easier (for me, at least, you're probably old enough anyway). Having anything that isn't wiry scruff or feathery down makes them assume you're much older than you are.
Dunno if you guys have seen this, but there's been another "nomination" thing going around Facebook lately for breast cancer awareness. Every girl who gets nominated has to take a picture with no makeup on and donate £3 to cancer research.
My friend thought it'd be hilarious to get guys involved, and nominated me and two of my best mates to do a full makeup picture. You can see where this is going.
While the other two (yellow-bellied cowards, the both of them!) did it, took their pictures, had a laugh and took it off, I decided to go a step further and go to my friend's 18th party with it on. Yes, there was me last night, striding soberly at the start and drunkenly at the end of the night through the city centre, in full makeup, without having shaved either. It was, uh, an interesting night, to say the least.

Anyway, I'm sharing this because I want to nominate all of you, Spam. If this isn't yet happening in your friendship group, start it, it's for a good cause and everyone has one hell of a laugh doing it. And share your pictures here, if you want.
Disclaimer: I'm also sharing it because I think it's funny.
