I was born two months and a week or two early at 2 pounds and .02 ounces. I have acid reflex as a result which is now not that bad, but when I was little I had to always be upright or I would start crying. And I had asthma for five years, but it went away for some reason.

In case you are wondering why Emerald sleeps so much, it's the fastest way for him to build up energy to undo the statue. Also, he likes sleeping.
Emerald glanced sleepily towards the tiny Gem holding Amber's gemstone. He then smiled slightly and began talking in a sleepy, drawn out way. "Don't be silly. He'll be back. You've seen how he is, and besides, if we couldn't come out of our gems, why would we go in? Just like me and my statue." As he said this, a bit of the rock cracked off, revealing his neck and the rest of his head. "Now I can go back to sleeping without a stiff neck." He then began to doze off again.

"Zzz-snork! Ugh......what is that loud noise?" Emerald awoke, staring lazily at the weird....pinkish....thing. The one that was somehow louder than Amber. It looked odd, it didn't have a gem, and it was boringly colored and clothed. "What kind of creature are you?" Asked Emerald, the glowing green beams pointing right at the creatures eyes. "You look so.....odd." And what is this CRYSTAL Gem? I thought we were just called Gems, at least by the blue lady.
Meanwhile, the snoring began again. (Muahaha)
