Emerald lay there, flat on his face at the top of the staircase, wondering what had happened. It might've been the shock of going from ecstatic to flying through the air at a speed that could be described as "way too fast" in about a tenth of a second. Speaking of which, his face hurt. A lot more than it should've. Physical pain was really only something he had experienced once before, when he got shot by a laser eye. He pushed himself off of his face after a few seconds of collecting himself, and saw Zircon's hand reaching out towards him. He grabbed onto it with one hand, reserving the other for covering the left side of his face, where he had landed. He pulled himself up and stumbled a bit before facing Zircon. "Th-thanks, Zircon. I guess I wasn't-" He fumbled around with the words for a second, still a bit dazed. "Wasn't looking where I was going." The scratches burned a little, possibly because the old floor wasn't the cleanest thing in the world. He stood up on his own after wobbling a bit and walked over to the wall, slumping against it and coughing a bit. The long day had taken it's toll, especially what with all the excitement. Emerald had a feeling that this had happened at a bad time.
The ways we have referred to smoking in this rp are hilarious, from "death smoke" to "cancer sticks". Keep it up.
Emerald listened to the others, and essentially what they had said was that he had clearance to pull the switch. He was glad that he wasn't alone, in case of unlikely explosions. He reached out towards the switch, pulled it down, drew his hand back and covered his face and gem with his arms before something happened. He braced for impact of...nothing? A panel next to the switch was pulled back into the wall, revealing a set of stairs going up. "Uh.....Hey, guys, it worked!" Emerald ran up the stairs and was so excited that he didn't notice that there was a crack in one of the stairs. He tripped on said crack and flew flat on his face onto the ground of the second floor.
Emerald is going to flip the switch, so do I just make up what's gonna happen or what?
URMAHGEHRD I HAS AN IDEA!
Metronome, howabout the companies from our character's backstories are the same? Experimenting on humans under the cover of a medical research team?
Appearance: Picture an adult thin male, then make it pitch-black, pretend there is no facial features, and you pretty much have it.

Name: None, at least, that he knows of (Archived in the database of the company in the bio)

Age: 27, unknown to him.

Powers: Arms and legs can turn into long wispy physical tendrils which can be used to grab things, pull things, or pull himself towards said object.

Effects of his body:

Body is about as hard to cut through as heavily padded armor. Has no organs or bones. Does not need to eat or drink.

Regeneration: Can theoretically create a new body for himself unless completely destroyed. This can take anywhere from thirty minutes to multiple days depending on what gets cut off.

About 2x faster and stronger than the average military male.

Weaknesses: Kind of dumb, easily convincible, completely mute, scary despite his intention to be otherwise. Death if vaporized, little common sense, vulnerable to being tazed/tranquilized/immobilized using a chemical.

Skills: Experienced with using his powers to quickly travel to wherever, stealthy.

Personality: Rather friendly, but mostly confused. Can't take a hint and tends to tag along with random people that he thinks are his friends. Childish in these aspects. Communicates mostly in gestures or actions.

History: Was part of a test by a branch of the army's research team, which was designed to enhance soldiers using the powers of captured metahumans who were offered safe residence.....in a glorified specialized prison for metahumans. There was no choice for the metahumans, sadly, and most died trying to escape. The experiments went mostly wrong, with only about 10 of the 100 testers getting remotely close to success...and those ended up sort of like this guy. You don't want to know what happened to the ones who were....worse off, to put it bluntly. The testers were mostly imprisoned, due to craziness and mental breakdowns, except for some of them who were dubbed successful enough to be abandoned and dismissed from memory, which creepy-shadow-guy might've maybe sort of snuck off with. He became a sort of minor urban legend to people in the city, spread by people who saw him and ran away because he is DAMN scary to most people. He wanders the streets, trying to find someone who doesn't run away flailing their arms wildly, screaming at the top of their lungs, when they see him.

Relationships: Minor urban legend in the city, possible creepypasta on t3h 1nt3rn3t5.

Other: Can see fine without visible eyes, and makes a sort of burbling noise (Sounds like the enderman sound from minecraft when it isn't trying to kill you) when he would talk if he could.
@21308Since we're talking about fusions between our OCs and a show character.....Emerald and Amethyst.
"How long have they been asleep?"
"Like, four days."
Not sure if approved or what. Haven't gotten any kind of word.
@Loony I would like to, but it is for a possible near-future situation or multiple other ones that just fit less well.
