Techi needs to move on, and knowing that he's dead will finally let her do that. Do you have any idea how bad the pain of uncertainty is? Now she can be happy. And if he comes back consumed in Dark Power... imagine how badly it'll hurt her.
But we can get rid of the Dark Power.
