Just talk to him. Try and convince him to let our Martyn help him, or let them team up or something. Then it would be a win for everybody. Martyn could show him how to do the best he can with his powers, and the hatred will be gone, and no one innocent will have to die anymore.

If anything, it wasn't a fight until I blew up the boxes. But even then, I would have figured something out if they weren't explosive. My point is that I may not be the very smartest one out there, but I can find a second route with a flick of my fingers. Fighting isn't always necessary.

If someone is chasing you, destroy the path before they can catch up. For example, eons ago, when I was a little girl, I was being pursued in a mine by some thugs, so I knocked over a few barrels of explosives, and when that didn't stop them, I lit the whole thing.
I still believe that is a fight... But that's just in my eyes.
