Interested! I'll try to post a character sheet soon.
Hey, everyone! Got an idea for a High-Casual RP I'd like to share, and would love to hear if anyone is interested or has any suggestions.

Plot/Setting
The world of Erra is composed entirely of floating landmasses, all resting above a cover of clouds that shield them for the planet's volcanic core. These islands, as well as the rest of the world, run off a kind of intangible, unstable energy known by the people as magic, which keeps the islands afloat, and allows other improbable geography and creatures to exist. For the most part, this magic is uncontrollable to the people living in Erra. However, a few gifted folk, known as Catalysts, are capable of bending the magic of the planet to their will, and are a revered and respected by the rest of the world.

... That is to say they were revered. In the beginning, Catalysts were saviors to the people of Erra, but as time grew on, the power that the Catalysts wielded got to their heads; they grew arrogant of there abilities and began using them against the non-catalysts of Erra. Wars were fought between the Catalysts and non-catalysts, and in the end, the Catalysts overthrew their own people, which they placed under a harsh and unforgiving dictatorship.

The non-catalysts lived under this dictatorship will little way to rebel until a man by the name of Nickolas Larken made an interesting discovery: a way to convert magic into a physical substance that everyone could use. This magic, known as Aether, made it possible for non-catalysts to fight back, and as such, the non-catalysts began creating complex weapons and machinery to combat their brutal government, including the aether-powered airship. Over the years of this new rebellion, these ships fell into the hands of less-savory folk, and the idea of the sky pirate was born.

Gameplay
Players would participate as a crew working on one of these newly-created pirate ships, sailing the skies and wreaking havoc wherever they please. Additionally, the overall design of the RP would be fairly sandbox in nature, with players deciding by popular vote where they ought to go, and focus on exploration, adventure, and combat. The RP would also run on a sort-of quest system, where the GM (myself) and players would post subplots and premises that the rest of the players could pursue to uncover more information about the world and the war currently raging in it.

Positions
+ Captain
+ Quartermaster (Strategist)
+ Navigator
+ Shipmaster (Ship's main engineer)
+ Engineer
+ Historian (An information distributing job that I would be playing)
+ Doctor
+ Cook
+ Gunner
+ Fighter Pilot
+ Gunman
+ Swordsman

(Side note: At the moment, the only issue I'm having with this idea is its expansiveness; the number of positions on the ship is a whopping 15 (side-side note: some positions listed above have more than one opening), and most-if-not-all would need to be filled to start the RP. If not enough people join, I would probably have to consolidate some of the positions together, or allow people to play two jobs at once, which I feel would be a bit confusing depending on the job in question.)

Anyway, that's it. Let me know what you think!
Dropping by to say I'm interested in the Big Bad/director role.

Good luck trying to find something that you like. I'm trying to start my if you wanna check it out. If you don't, I don't care haha just enjoy your stay here. Having fun is what matters!

Thanks! I'll be sure to check it out. SOTC was one of my favorite games back on the PS2 until I experienced a brief bout of insanity and sold the console. *sobs internally*

One quick question, though, (and this question goes out to everyone): is there any specific requirements for making an RP, other than posting in the IC to garner interest? (The number of RPs you've been in on the site, how many posts you have, etc.)
Hey, everyone! Hesoca here, (call me Hes for short). I joined the site a few weeks ago but never really introduced myself. So... voila? Introduction taken care of, I guess.

So I've been wandering around the site for a while now in a manner I can only describe as being like a lost puppy. Staring at posts, dashing between threads with an attention span rivaling that of a goldfish... y'know, basic newbie stuff. That all being said, I would love some advice about where I should start in all these RPs. If you'd like to make a suggestion (or recruit another victim for your own roleplay), then by all means, let me hear it. Writing-wise, I mostly do Casual and Advanced work, and hang around in genres and fandoms with Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Punk elements, so anything fitting those categories is music to my ears, (although I'm willing to try out other genres... it all depends on the story, really).

Anyway, thanks for listening to me ramble. Hesoca, out!
