It did start in the 1500s... but most "pirates" at the time were technically privateers like Sir Francis Drake, "working" for a government. There weren't that many independent pirates at the time.... that said. Yea, I can do a bit of research on the time period and what the buccaneers/privateers used. But the Caribbean at the time was largely controlled by the Spanish and the other European powers used privateers to harass Spanish merchants and ports, which allowed room for the other powers to move in and establish their own ports and settlements. But I guess that might be irrelevant if we're doing a fictional world.
16th century? Not Golden Age of Piracy? Which is late 1600s early 1700s.
Yep, can do. Anything specific you want me to read up on?
Not particularly, I left for a while and came back a month or two ago. Anyways, yep. I can help with the research stuff no problem. I'm not sure if I can dedicate time to work on NPC posts.
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD. In all seriousness though. I would be surprised if half the people here get a CS up.
Lol, I was just kidding. Lothar isn't that kind of character. Personally, I was thinking that hunting in general would attract attention from bigger and badder things... hopefully things we can deal with. Otherwise, we need to go find a new cave or something.
Interested! I'm somewhat knowledgeable with the time period, politics, ships, and etc. So, if you have any questioned, then I can certainly try to be of help.
Oh man... you guys are picking up on my plan.
This is why you just stick with the basics. Sharp pointy rock freshly picked from the cave ftw! No need to worry about the spear head randomly falling off cause the mook doesn't know how to properly tie knots.
Lothar got back onto his feet. He had to act quickly before Nic got hurt too. Oleg needed to get treatment somehow as well. Perhaps it was good that the Variant Horned Rabbit was focused on Nic as it would allow Lothar to come from its behind. Still, the Rabbit had to know that Lothar was there too. There was no more veil of surprise that they could use since they used up the chance to land two blows. In fact... maybe the rabbit was only pretending to focus on Nic. With that, Lothar held the sharp stone in his right hand, but picked up some dirt with his left. He then quickly ran towards the rabbit. He planned to strike the rabbit in the back of the head and end the fight, but that was assuming that the rabbit didn't notice him. Chances were... the Rabbit knew that Lothar was there and would turn its head to fight him.

If the Rabbit did turn its head to look at him, then Lothar would throw the dirt in his left hand at the Rabbit's eyes and then try to grab the rabbit's horn with his left hand and then use his right to repeatedly stab at the back of the rabbit's head. With the Rabbit's leg injured, it couldn't move or run as quickly. Meaning the biggest threat was it's horn. However, if Lothar held onto the horn, then it would have trouble trying to stab Lothar or move in general.
