Historical fantasy. It's certainly based on a Europe that we know of, but imagine if all those crazy stories, books, and paintings that the medieval and classical Europeans saw or heard of about Asia were actually real. So, Europe is largely historically the same as ours, but Asia is a lot more fantastical (if that's a real word).
It's a bit of both. You will have your main character who leads your specific group or faction within the East India Company (at least in the beginning. The RP can develop in strange ways). Your actions and choices will affect what happens to the region and geopolitical situation as a whole as your faction is the vehicle that you use to bring forth change in the company. Really the choices are limited by everyone's creativity. But overall, the RP is intended to be a bit of a Co-op NRP-esque RP with internal intrigue and plotting abound.
You..... mad man. This is a very refreshing take on a NRP. If possible, I would like to reserve Krupp.
The Empire of Attolia proclaims the following:

Given the recent return of Centrix to the Redcliff Empire and with popularity by the locals, the Empire of Attolia hereby formally releases any and all claims and obligations to the province of Centrix to promote and secure peace in Europe. We are glad to see that no blood was shed in this transfer of land, but we do bemoan the loss of our valiant men in this war against the perfidious Ubren. May peace return to Europe as a whole, both in the west and in the east.

Signed,
Emperor Lothair II of Attolia

The Far East has long been a source of mystery and amazement as stories of strange spirits, peoples, grand riches and exotic beasts have long trickled to the West, tickling the imagination of man. The first explorations of the region reported sightings of giant aquatic snakes, often threatening to attack passing ships should they stray too close to its territory, tiny, stout men who built sturdy ships out of rock and even metal, and grand Empires whose cities were built upon gold and precious jewels. The riches of the East became... tempting, urging the nations of Europe to find ways to access the markets in these distant and foreign lands. You will be RPing a commissioned (or contracted) officer of the fledgling East India Company of the British Empire, all working to grow the power and wealth of the company in these foreign, but rich lands. Whether it be a native dark elf pirate captain who offered to join the Company as a cultural and naval adviser, or the son of a major shareholder, seeking to secure your family's fortune with a mercenary company backing you up, you have a lot of flexibility in developing a character.

Using this as a means to see how many people are interested and to answer any questions people may have.

Open Letter to the Nations of Europe

War spreads in the continent once more as the Kingdom of Ubren invades another sovereign nation. They claim that they hold moral high ground, yet one supposed aggressive arrest of a suspect is responded to with an army of 150,000 men marching to occupy and take territory once more. Thousands of Attolian men have been run down by the saber in a gross over reaction to an event that could clearly have been dealt with diplomatically and peacefully. Yet, it is clear that Ubren does not care for peace and like in the summit they reject any reasonable resolution and only seek to take through bloodshed and war. It is for this reason that the Empire of Attolia asks the nations of Europe who claim to uphold and secure peace in the continent, that they take action and form a punitive coalition against the Kingdom of Ubren. How can a Viponist trust their neighbor when their neighbor clearly enviously eyes and plots to steal from everyone in the village? Thus, I further ask the Papacy to take action once more and restore people's trust in the faith.

Furthermore, the Empire of Attolia also calls upon the Continental Alliance to answer the call and fulfill its obligations in this defensive alliance.

Signed,
Emperor Lothair Wolff II
Attolia

Dark Spirits were coming after the Attolians and led by a spirit that had been wronged by Salvdal. What was the proper solution to the situation? Should he punish Salvdal in an attempt to placate the spirit? Caelis doubted that it would really atone for much unless Salvdal willingly punished himself and held himself accountable. Caelis had to take decisive action. He called Salvdal and order him, a shaman, and the former Lady Shaphira (being sent to make sure that Salvdal does not try to flee from his responsibilities and/or further betray the Attolians) to set off and find the remains of the gazelle to properly bury it and give it the respect that it is due. They needed to buy time to stand up against something that was simply... malevolent. If the shaman lost its guide, then it would buy the Attolians time.

Caelis then left his tent to address the Attolians. "We have stayed our welcome from these lands, and as always like any good guest, we must make our leave. I and the shamans will stay behind to give our final regards to the local spirits. We will see you to the north!"

With that, the Attolians began to migrate once more to the north. However, they only had a day's lead. Caelis had to buy time at the very least as he joined the remaining shamans and joined them in a small communion with the local spirits. He asked them for one final favor. To stir and hide any trace of the Attolians so that they could not be followed. Thus, come night, the communion would end and they would head north as well. By day tomorrow, they will know if the spirits answered their prayers.

---

Summary:

1. Salvdal, a shaman, and Lady Saphira are sent to find the remains of the gazelle and give it a proper burial with the respects that it deserves.

2. The majority of the Attolians begin to migrate north.

3. Caelis and the remaining shamans ask the local spirits to hide their presence and make it impossible for the Attolians to be followed.
