Tobias Tariq Saleh is accepted. Armed to the teeth, just as promised. Good, this is good. A mad man with weapons is what everyone needs!

Wait for me to gauge who's going where, because I'll have to send the groups off in different directions, to avoid a break in the space-time continuum.

Fair enough; I wasn't planning on introducing Tobias until after the others had gotten away from the Gym, anyway.

Name: Tobias Tariq Saleh

Gender: Male

Age: 42

Appearance: Tobias stands at about six-foot-three and has a rather 'athletic' sort of musculature; from looking at him, he could be mistaken for being slightly skinny. He has lightly tanned skin and a large, hooked nose on his face. His hair is short, black and as neatly-groomed as it could be, given the circumstances, with an uneven fringe that 'flops' around above his face with movement. He also has a beard that dominates the lower half of his face, but doesn't go further than that.

His dress sense is reminiscent of a man with wealth, but not much taste. He wears a button-down, short-sleeve shirt with a distinctive black-and-neon green checkerboard pattern, along with cream cargo trousers and green skate shoes, with a golden chain on his neck and another connected to something inside his pocket. He also wears a golden watch on his left wrist, above a large, rather trippy-looking tattoo of a strange plant/lizard hybrid that covers his whole left arm.

Medical Ailments: Prone to periodic hallucinations ('flashbacks') as a result of LSD abuse. Also exhibits feverish symptons from other illicit drugs.

Nationality: British-Palestinian

Occupation: Hitman

Four Week History: Before all the virus madness in Georgia kicked off, Tobias was called over from Las Vegas to DC by his paymasters from the Russian Mafiya to assassinate a journalist who was about to expose their deals with the Pharmaceutical industry to distribute dangerous, untested drugs to delay the shambler transformation in Africa; thus locking people into dependency. Once he heard about the shamblers, however, he decided to head to Dulles airport and wait, guessing that the journalist would try and flee the city ASAP. He was right.

This lead to a problem for Tobias, however. Though he had killed the journalist, travel was soon locked down by the military to prevent the spread of the virus. Once all hell broke loose at the airport, Tobias was in high demand by the various warring factions that had appeared due to his skillset. Tobias only wanted to be left alone, however, not seeing any of them worthy of anything but getting devoured by the shamblers. Especially the racist conspiracy theorists who thought he must have been behind everything because of his Arab ethnicity. Thus, he had to kill six more people (four of them with a gun, and the other two with a Sledgehammer) before they got the message.

However, by then, the bus bound for escape had already left; clearly they didn't trust him very much. But Tobias was unphased; grabbing all the supplies he could, he chose to sneak out on foot while everyone else was busy killing each other. Timing his movements across the city so as to avoid the major hordes, all Tobias wants is to find a cushy, out-of-the-way mansion or high-rise Penthouse where he (and he alone) can hopefully spend a few years in comfort while civilisation is rebuilt, or until he gets mauled, whichever comes first.

Alright then, #1 it is. Though #2 was a revamped version of a character I recently made for another Zombie RP, anyway. I'll probably bring her in if #1 gets killed off, which he probably will at some point. Not necessarily from the shamblers.

Also, put me in for Group 2 for now.

With the first one, are we talking about a renegede soldier? A brutal biker type? Who is he/she? You mentioned them being untrustworthy, which could make for an interesting drama later in the RP.

The second guy sounds like a jerk, which could also make for interesting drama.

Gimme some more info on who they are.

Alright. Well, the first guy is rather quiet, but he takes drugs and was involved with organised crime. He values his own survival above anything else, but he's also well-armed compared to the others.

The second girl (I know there's a gender imbalance, but I don't think she'd work if I changed it) isn't so much as rude or jerkish as she is obsessed with not getting killed, to the exclusion of everything else, just like the other character. She's zombie-fiction-literate, though, and doesn't want to be the pretty one who dies immediately, like they do in the movies. Or they become the damsel, which she also doesn't like the sound of.

Alright, so I have a bit of a problem. I have two character ideas and I can't decide between either of them.

One of them is kind of 'out there', more combat-suited and extremely untrustworthy. The other one is a lot more 'normal', but also hyper-practical when dealing with disaster (i.e. they can't stand people panicking or hesitating); both of these would probably conflict with the others. What do you think?

You know what, on second thoughts (or maybe third thoughts by now), if we're going with the fast/slow group plan, I might join now after all. Trouble is, now I have new character ideas, so that'd take a while to cycle through and decide.

Slows down? I don't count 4 posts in 30 hours to be fast.

Well, I sort of meant I wouldn't be able to keep up with your initial expectations. In all honesty, I have a short attention span, so if you want people for a fast-moving RP, I'm not your guy. :V

I have a tendency to declare interest for RPs without actually joining them, anyway; usually after I subconsciously decide I'm not really feeling it. But I'll keep an eye on this one anyway. Good luck.

Hmm... I don't think I'd be able to keep up here. Not until it slows down, anyway. Believe me, it will; they always do. Maybe I'll join later once things have gone really tits-up... uh, in-universe, I mean.
