"Are they leaving" Jesse standing hidden in the crowed that happens this time of year. It is never really not busy here, it is just worst now that the school year is coming. So with a crowd like this it would be best to not come out at all, it is cheaper to buy things from shops around mid-school year as prices increase around now, or books from upperclassmen as they are both cheaper and normally have notes from the classes in them, but it can't be avoided because unlike the other things you can't buy a wand early. Jesse is not that different than any another first year, Who wouldn't want there own wand?, but couldn't risk getting closer, "Maybe I shouldn't have brought them" Jesse whispers thinking out loud. Little bumps moving in her clothes as her babies shifted slightly she knew they would behave themselves, but not if that CAT would.

Just making checking but it is like 8:30-9:00 AM IC right? Billy stated it was "the break of dawn" and dawn is around 7:00 AM in Washington DC and nothing much has happened.

1) The first life Was 600 years ago, as most Tsukumogami supposedly need one hundred years to gain life. Even if there were lives before this point they probably don't matter.
2) There are small breaks in-between lives, because do you know how long it takes to reincarnate? Could be instant, could take time I don't know.
3) The current average lifespan of a human is 79 years, as a human in the supernatural world that number maybe lower.
So how about this: there were other lives but Ashley doesn't remember them right now, and only thinks there are two. But learns about the others over time as other things happen in the story.

I may have worded that wrong, I based Ren of the Honjo Masamune sword which was made around 1288–1328 AD making it around 689-729 years old. So that would possibly give Ashley some more lives with Ren, wouldn't it?

A Tsukumogami is a object that acquired a spirit and thus consciousness, typically after living long enough time. As for Ashley having two life times to work with is after reuniting with Ren, who was her sword in the last life, She regained the memories of her first life and some of the afterlife. She is still physically human just with more memories. I don't know if that will conflict with Sora Grimoire's Bio that implies an afterlife.
