If you want to reset, it's up to you.
If you really want to get down to it, there are numerous armies that fought with little to no armor. Greeks, Romans, a lot of barbarian tribes from around that time, off the top of my head.
Even after heavy armor was developed, the poorest foot soldiers had little in the way of protection besides what they could loot, sometimes nothing at all.

Also, Musashi defeated an expert martial artist with a wooden sword. Regardless of his intention, the fact that he used a wooden substitute MAKES it impressive. It's indicative of his skill as a high caliber martial artist.
And all those accounts are far less impressive. It's easy to win when you have an advantage over your enemy. Beating someone better equipped than you is always cooler, because it's an indicator of skill, and any martial artist of note in history has done this.
That's why it's important to know Liechtenauer had techniques to beat a heavily armored opponent. That's why it's important to know Musashi would duel guys using only a wooden sword. A good martial artist should be able to defeat any opponent regardless of differences in equipment or technique. A poor martial artist relies on a piece of equipment or special technique.
Actually there's totally fencing against large swords. There are accounts of duelists known for overcoming enemies with extra large swords. It's not like they're terribly heavy to the point where you can't parry them.
You do know anti-armor techniques exist in pretty much every school of fencing, right?
Because they do. For this exact scenario.
The idea of a one-hit kill is a myth. Humans are extremely resilient; you can lose an arm in combat and still live. Superficial wounds mean little.

Pff, Atl was naked against a knight. Next time Atl is screwed. The title says 'semi realistic' after all.

Someone's never heard of Johannes Liechtenauer.
Moreover, you're one to talk about putting effort into your writing when you're just playing a genderswapped Oichi from Sengoku Basara. You didn't even try to hide it. And even ignoring the fact that it's a blatant ripoff, I wouldn't describe Sengoku Basara as the most intricately written game.
The last post was short because I didn't have much to say. I had to speak a few sentences, and that was it.
If you make a post too long with no actual content, it's purple prose. Purple prose is terrible. You should write the appropriate length necessary. Any more would be wasting time.

And for the record, the Dokkodo is twenty-one short sentences. The Book of the Void is about a page long.
I don't dig collab posts. Generally, they result in a lower activity rate IC and exclude other players from jumping in during a conversation.
