【Personality】
Shadan is often loud and boisterous (to the point he is almost shouting in normal conversation), pairing with his rather gregarious nature. Shadan views innocence as precious and fights to protect it. Shadan can be rather naive, often giving people the benefit of the doubt when he shouldn't. It is rare that Shadan isn't smiling, when they aren't in battle.

Suishō is very different from her husband, often coming across as cold. Highly opinionated, she often chastises her husband for his behavior, providing a good check to his nature, ensuring people do not take advantage of his view on life. Secretly, she envies Shadan's abilities to see the good in things, a trait she doesn't possess herself.

【History】
Shadan and Suishō have been married over 15 years. They have three children, one boy (eldest at 14), and two girls (7 and 5).

Shadan's days at the academy were rather tough. With an awkward body, being significantly larger than his peers) and a poor scholastic aptitude, he was at the bottom of his class rather consistently. Shadan was constantly shown up by shinobi years younger than him, including his wife Suishō. Had it not been for the interest of Ayameko, a well known medic-nin in Konoha, it is likely Shadan would not have graduated, despite his natural, but largely unrecognized skills.

Suishō was almost the opposite. From a long line of archers, Suishō was, in many ways, set up for success. She preformed well scholastically and excelled in her family's unique skills with a bow. Suishō was skilled enough at a young age to best students with more experience and training than her, her skills obvious and more eagerly taught.

Not surprisingly, Suishō and Shadan did not get along, at least from Suishō's perspective. Suishō bested Shadan during their Chuunin exams, handily beating him despite his years of training under Ayameko. Suishō saw Shadan like many others - naive, but also dishonest, as she did not believe that someone would congratulate her as he did after their match with any honesty, despite its actual sincerity.The two, ironically, were placed on the same squad after the exams, along with another woman. It would be in those early years, actually spending time with Shadan, that Suishō would begin to respect his skills, both saving each other's lives on a number of occasions.

They would marry to much celebration, but much skepticism on how long it would last. However, after the birth of their first child, a boy, no one could question the strength of the relationship. They would have two more children throughout the years, living in relative peace.

Now well into adulthood, their squad had gone its separate ways largely, with Suishō and Shadan joining a border guard group, positioned in the southwest of the Land of Fire. When Konoha fell, the two took their children and fled to the Land of Wind. Despite their children, Suishō and Shadan joined the Rebel forces to make an effort to reclaim their homeland officially and ensure that no other families would face the upheaval theirs had.

【Abilities and Special Traits】
Shadan is a skilled sensor and medic nin, which is surprising to many that meet him. Reflexively, he has the high strength and stamina one would expect of a man his size. Shadan is completely inept at preforming Genjutsu, with only marginal skill in utilization of his KG. As expected of a medical shinobi, he has fine chakra control, coupling with a large chakra pool. Quite possibly most surprising, Shadan is very quick on his feet. His skill at manipulating elements is subpar and most of his jutsu lack that evident refinement.

Suishō is an archer of well noted skill, coupling the art with her skills in ninjutsu. Like her husband, she has solid chakra control, but an average pool to draw upon. She is much quicker than her husband, possessing an incredible amount of agility and raw speed. However, she lacks much of his stamina and raw strength, relying on her skills with a bow. Suishō's combat style is noted for being one of the most efficient of styles, allowing her to outlast many of her opponents.

【Weapons, Tools and Equipment】

Shadan wields a large shield over eight feet high and 6 feet wide, allowing the shield to cover his entire form. Inscribed with many seals The shield is designed as a conduit and store for his chakra, giving him great access to large sums of chakra should he need it.Aside from his medical kit, some flash tags and smoke bombs, Shadan does not utilize any other standard shinobi equipment, preferring a 'hands on' approach. At each of the corner's of Shadans shield is a larger symbol, with another directly in the center. This is similar to the technique Five Seal Barrier, which creates an extremely strong barrier out of the shield. Shadan's markings on the left side of his body store excess chakra, as well as make it easier for him to cover and maintain his left arm and chest side with Doton: Domu (Earth Release: Earth Spear).

Suishō wields a variety of standard shinobi weapons, but her primary weapon is an elegantly carved bow designed as a conduit for her chakra. She creates all of her arrows herself, inscribing them with a number of generic sealing techniques to provide additional effects to them in combat - something she applied to her quiver as well, giving her access to thousands of arrows providing she has the chakra to release the seals. Her arrows are designed to passively return to the quiver should they miss their mark and their abilities have not been invoked. The seals on her arrows allow her to create arrows with smoke or flash bombs at the end, as well as exploding tags or other shinobi tools, even after they have hit a mark. Another occasionally used tool is the tension line like her left wrist, which can be launched from the back of one of her arrows to embed itself into an object behind it. This can also be attached to a bracer on her right arm to allow her to ascend a building or mountain with her bow. Her bow will automatically allow her to pull arrows from her quiver without a physical motion, utilizing a small store of chakra within it.

At the base of her back she has a simple tanto strapped to it, but it is a weapon that remains largely unused. She has a couple of dart style arrows strapped under her left sleeve, which can have a tension line attached to them, allowing her to preform a variety of tactics (these can also attach to other tensionlines/arrows in flight). She does have a small number of kunai, tags, and bombs on her left hip which she occasionally uses individually.

Description: One Suishō's signature techniques. By putting Hyōton chakra into her arrows, she can create even more dangerous of projectiles. When an enemy is struck by one of these arrows, the point of impact will cover with a relatively thick, chakra enhanced ice. The ice melts slowly, despite often not being in freezing environments, making it extremely painful over long periods of time, including being capable of inducing frostbite. If struck at, or near a joint, it can be difficult for the victim to move due to the casing of ice around the bodypart. Should all of the arrows miss, they can also create small patches of extremely slick ice that repels the intrusion of foreign chakra, making it immune to standard walking techniques.
Weakness: Extremely weak to Katon techniques/chakra.

Description: Invoking the generic weapon seals on her arrows, Suishō's unleashes more arrows mid release in various patterns. Not only does this give her a wider breadth of attack options, it can make her arrows more difficult to avoid. She can additionally combined this technique with Shimo Satsuei to create a more dangerous barrage of arrows. The amount of arrows unleashed is variable, but the technique can be chained multiple times.

Should an arrow remain in a victim for extended periods of time, it would continually pull chakra from that individual. The rate of chakra draw from a ranged weapon is slow, the initial strike only refunding the cost of her Shimo Satsuei.

Description: By pushing both Hyōton and Shōton chakra into arrow(s), Suishō creates an arrow that upon impact with an enemy.or area, creates a creeping crystal and ice fusion. The area this arrow is capable of covering is quite impressive and unless quickly removed, will continue to create this fusion as it is often paired with other bow techniques allowing it to persist. In its base form, it can create a slick crystal/ice fusion in a 20 foot radius around the point of impact. Should there be no presence of a foreign chakra, it can cover this entire distance in the thick coating in less than 2 seconds - it will attempt to encase people caught within that radius by creeping upwards.. Should it embed itself in a target with chakra, it will move slower, but create an initial patch of one foot in radius.

Description: A two form technique. In it's most basic usage, the technique creates a massive shattering of any of Suishō's crystal or ice, creating a large amount of shrapnel depending on the amount of already in play ice or crystal. In the second form, creates a stream of Hyōton and Shōton chakra from a palm, which in extended periods, will encase a victim much like Sacred Crystal Arrow, but in much more bloody fashion, as particles of ice and crystal cut through flesh easily. The first form can be initiated with a simple snap of the fingers.
Weakness: High chakra costs in second form. Requires other techniques.

Description: Another two part technique. In the first form, utilized with a bow, the arrow is accelerated rapidly. creating a spiral of wind around it. This serve three purposes, the first is that it makes it harder to deflect, the second is that it can create flesh cuts in a victim without the main arrow even being on target, at the spiral can span outwards in a radius over a full foot. Third, it allows slight deviations of the arrow's path. Upon impact with an opponent or the ground, it creates a massive outward burst of Fuuton chakra, enough to easily knock a person off of their footing and project them a good distance away. This effect has largely minimal damage, as it is spread and blunt as it spreads from the center. Should someone be caught in the center of the wind's force, they can expect a large number of small lacerations on the body. In the second form of the techniques, it creates a projection of wind from the hand, utilized to knock an opponent backwards, or in a number of instances, upwards, as the gust can be readily altered if within close proximity to the user.

Description: A simple defensive technique that creates a quick spiral of Fuuton chakra, much like the Hyuuga's rotation technique. This is done to temporarily block incoming projectile techniques. It is a quick creation, but cannot be maintained for long. It is dangerous for close range combat fighters to approach the winds, as they will cause many lacerations to the flesh.
Weakness: Cannot be maintained for longer than a couple seconds without beginning to quickly drain into chakra reserves.. Prevents the user from attacking themselves.

Description: After clasping the hands together, or forming a singular handsign with a free hand, the user creates a massive burst of Fuuton chakra outwards from the body, released from multiple tenketsu. This pushes back approaching projectiles, as well as enemies with a non-damaging blunt force of wind. This technique can be continually maintained provided the user does not move under their own effects and maintains the handsign. Continued use continues to drain chakra. With increased chakra, it is possible to create gusts to knock someone within 10 feet of the user upwards, as well as lift smaller items upwards at a surprising pace.
Weakness: Continued drain to chakra with continued use. Cannot be utilized more than once every 60 seconds.

Name of Technique: Tōki no Kōshō (Winter's Bite)

Description: A mid range blast of Hyōton chakra from Shadan's shield, roughly a similar size. Opponents struck by this technique will find themselves 'slower' as the Hyōton chakra begins to create ice clinging to the ground beneath them (should they stand still, this effect accelerates to the point of snaring them), as well as their feet. Should they be struck again by this technique, or by Suishou's Shimo Satsuei (or other Ice Release), they will find themselves in much more peril - as the dual Hyōton chakra attacks synergize, creating stronger, thicker, and more debilitating ice. The effects of Tōki no Kōshō persist for upwards of 3 minutes, or until Katon chakra is released within the area.

Description: After amassing chakra in an extremity, or his shield, Shadan punches, stomps, or slams his shield into the ground around him. In his immediately area, sharp protrusions of ice and earth erupt around him, with enough force to easily impale a human being. In it's most basic form, this erupts in a fast moving line along the ground towards an enemy, splitting the earth along its path, still creating sharp protrusions similar to what is around Shadan. This can be done with additional chakra to create multiple fissures in a single instance.

As a secondary effect, this ability creates an temporary outer coating of Doton chakra around Shadan, reducing the effect of any stray attacks his shield may not catch.

Weakness: Utilization of this technique as an escape mechanism is limited, given the need to be at least within sensory range of his ally. Additionally, the length of time to produce each of these seals makes it nearly impossible to utilize on a large scale.

Description: Utilizing Shadan's shield as a focal point, both Shadan and his wife create a massive surge of various elemental chakras within it, expanding the effects of the shield to massive proportions - utilizing a multiple layer framework of ice and crystal. This technique expands on many of the principles of the Kaidoku Fukanō (Unbreakable) actually drawing chakra based projectiles towards it as well. The scope of powers of this technique is limited by the amount of chakra that can be pushed through it. With just Shadan and Suishou, it is limited to about 50 feet in length and 30 feet in height without leaving them to the point of complete exhaustion.
Weakness: Incredible chakra cost, directionless techniques, or techniques that lack a projectile are still effective.
