After a few minutes of walking they encounter a small caravan in the process of being robbed by a group of hobgoblins and several kobold geomancers, they hadn't noticed him yet as they were too busy robbing the people.

Normally, Colmaz wouldn't have even considered fighting all of these bandits, but today was a long way from normal. Now, he had power and allies to help him. After a quick internal debate, the alchemist decided to help out the caravan. Besides, caravans worthy of being robbed doubtlessly had riches. Maybe the traders would be thankful enough to share.

"In the mood for a little practice?" whispered Colmaz, grinning to his two accomplices. "Maria, please keep the kobolds distracted with some magic. If you can take out some, that's a plus. Garas, you know what to do. Focus on the hobgoblins, please."

Colmaz also decided that a good ally wouldn't let his comrades do all the work, so he took out his crossbow and applied an (un)healthy dose of poison. "Alright, let's go!"

"I am, Maria, former priestess of Agaro the sea god, I am strong with water and ice magic as well as some minor healing magic, if need be, I can summon water or ice elementals to aid us." the woman said, not looking up.

"I am, Garas, warrior under the service of lord Morias, let me worry about all our melee enemies, I'll crush them under my boot!" the gnoll said grinning.

"Well, then, Garas and Maria, let's be off! I have faith in you already," said Colmaz, grinning. He turned to the noble. "Thank you for all of the help, Morias. I'll make sure to return your friends to you in one piece."

After saying goodbye, Colmaz decided it'd be best to get back on the road.

"I am not doing this for the health potion, you saved my life, had you chosen not to give it to me and leave there on the road, I would've died for sure." Morias says. "Do you have any questions about your two new companions?"

"Well, then I thank you. As for my companions, well, I suppose I can just ask them if I want to know something." For the first time in many weeks, Colmaz felt like he actually had a shot at beating out his competitors for the Universal Weapons. "Shall we introduce ourselves here, though?"

"I'm Colmaz Eolian, but Colmaz works fine. I'm a very good alchemist, so I can offer support to you and some scattered healing! I'm hoping to find Anna, mainly, but really any of the blades would work for my purposes." He did an eaggerated bowing motion. "And you are?"

And he was lead to a living room, it had a fireplace, fine paintings and beautifully decorated seats. In front of the fireplace sat Morias whilst on the seats were two people.

On one was a gnoll warrior, wearing from head to toe plate armor, the other was a young woman with azure blue hair and light blue eyes, she wore a blue robe the color of the sea, she was a priestess of Arago, the God of the Sea.

"Ah, take a seat my friend!" Morias said. "We have much to discuss!"

Colmaz was taken aback by the woman's blue hair especially. He'd heard of people with odd hair colors, but this was his first time seeing something other than generic brown or black, maybe some blonde. It was distracting, to say the least.
"Yes, of course," he said, tearing his eyes away from the woman's odd hair. The gnoll seemed especially capable, as well. They'd do just fine indeed.
"Do I owe you any compensation? Surely one healing potion can't cover all of the kindness you've shown me, my friend."

As he was relaxing, he heard a gentle knock on the door, then a voice.

"Sir, the master wants you to come if you are done, he has gotten your two companions ready!" A female voice came from behind the door.

Colmaz scrabbled out of the bath when he heard the servant's voice, snatching up his clothing and bag. Thankfully, she didn't come inside.
He tried to make himself presentable for the noble and his two new companions. First impressions were important. He sheathed his dagger and hid his crossbow as well as he could manage. Then, Colmaz exited the bath and went off to find his new friend Morias.

A maid bowed without saying anything and led him thorough the corridors of the castle before letting him in a wide marble room filled with warm and steaming water.

"There is a small hot spring beneath this room that keeps the water always warm and relaxing. If you need help just ring this bell and I'll be here."

As the maid left, he could see that the maid had a sheathed longsword on her hip, though why would a maid need a sword...

Colmaz noticed the longsword, but didn't think much about it. He was unaccustomed to the traditions of the higher class, so for all he knew, it was a ceremonial thing.
Most of his attention was focused on the bath, which, true to the maid's word, was incredibly comfortable.
As he relaxed in the water, he set his bag of potions on the ledge next to him, sipping wine out of a small flask that he'd been saving for a special occasion. He thought this probably qualified. He had a warm bath, ample food, and a new mercenary to help him on his quest! Not a bad trade off for one basic healing potion.

"For now, we'll have you rest a bit while I send a servant to fetch them." he says as they entered the main room of the castle. "Just ask a passing servant if you want to take a bath or anything like that, they'll guide to the bath." he says leaving towards his room.

Colmaz sighed in relief. Thank the lord for baths. As for his new warrior friend, he'd just have to wait and find out what they were like. It was odd being in a place with so much extravagance. Having actual servants just walking around... it was surreal.
For now, Colmaz really wanted a bath, and maybe some actual food. Not just stale bread and bruised apples.
He tried to flag down a passing servant. "Do you happen to now where a bath is? I'd really appreciate it!"

"So, what's this person like? I'm eager to meet them." Colmaz was also eager to sleep in a soft bed and wash his hair, but he decided it best not to say that.

"Hmm... I think I have just in mind who you need." He says as the two reach the wooden gate of what seemed to be a thstone wall. " My own little castle!" He said with a wide smile as the gates opened. "I know it's not my business, but what will you do once you get at least one of the swords? Will you return them, or will you keep them?"

"Someone like me doesn't have much use for an all-powerful sword. Once I find it, I'll probably return it to the king. Or maybe I'll give it to one of my allies who deserves it more than I do. Anything could happen." Colmaz took a moment to appreciate the castle, letting out a low whistle.

"I'm Morias Blackburn, a noble of this land." He says bowing slightly. "I assume correctly that you wish to seek for the powerful swords, am I correct?"

"
You got me. I'm no good at fighting, though, so I'm going to need powerful allies and a mountain of good luck." Colmaz smiled, tugging on his potion bag. "I'm the best alchemist around, though, and that's got to be worth something."
