Galen Gallatin
Twenty First Count of the City of Urik

Age: 28

Patron Goddesses: Lysis and Isis

Home Island: Kantle

Personality: Cunning almost to a fault, Count Urik is known for his ability to manipulate and control. It is his obsession with personal advancement that causes the man to throw himself into his work with such vigor. To help offset his otherwise almost maniac personality, he has spent time constructing and rehearsing a sort of off-color facade that he uses projects to hide his more devious/atrocious tendencies.

Biography: A man known throughout the court of Kantle for his sly mixture of persuasion and intimidation it can be said that in many respects it is Galen's tongue that is his sword. Born as the first son of the previous Count of Urik, Galen has known a life of backroom betray and back-alley bloodshed. Learning the tradecraft of politics from a young age, he chose the path of a cleric to escape the rather brutal trappings of Kantle court life. His adolescent years were spent in the service of the clergy, mastering oration and philosophy before moving on to more important things like mass manipulation through organized religion and how to head off popular rebellion by appealing to the religious purity of the poor, unclothed masses.

At the age of 22, Galen's father died and as his only heir Galen inherited the title of Count of the city of Urik. Deciding that he'd had enough of religion, Galen used this expected landfall to launch himself into the field of politics where he excelled beyond all others. It did not take long for Count Urik's numerous subversive exploits to become known to the ruler of the land, King Bolivar Kahler. Kahler however decided that the scheming noble's violently inflamed ambition could be put to good use and instead of executing him began to cultivate Count Urik into a cunning and useful adviser.

Etcetera: His time with the clergy has caused Count Urik to become a deeply religious man although he will never admit it.

Interested in playing one of the Chronal Society members.
Interested.

Sounds good, I'll get to work post haste.
I have a question which will be the determining factor as too which character I play. Will magic become available later on in the roleplay or will it be off-limits to player characters? if it's eventually obtainable I'd like to play a mage of some sort and if not I'll probably go with a more monk-ish design.
So, I just got back around to checking this after massive delay and I find that my negligence has been my undoing.

;-;

About to take a look at the OOC for Roulit right now, more than likely I'll be interested in doing it!
