If you want Akane to have it, you'll have to edit that in. You seem skilled so I imagine that won't be difficult. If you want to make a second character to own Inzen, you can do that as well.
I'm going to give it a few more days. If nothing by then, I will alter my original plans to accommodate the lack of an Inzen owner and we shall start regardless.
His age is mentioned. He is the first character in the examples section on the first post, for future reference. Now that that is settled, I shall add her to the first post and smile because we have another interesting character. :D

Anyways, character review time:
Though the use of first-person is done rather well here, I find it a bit confusing. I've always been a third-person advocate for roleplaying as it allows things to be more clear. So I hope that isn't a prelude to using first-person when the IC gets going, because that will get confusing fast. But anyways, in all seriousness, I have a few things for ya.
1: She is stated to have the surname of Miyoshi. Is that just a coincidence that means nothing? Note: one of the established characters comes from a noble Miyoshi family.
2: I can guess why she would tag along on the journey (to learn about the Oni, I presume) but her actual role is unclear to me. What would she be doing?

The order to silence the earphones was immediately suspicious to Katsuko. Though, with nothing to really base his suspicions on, he followed the order like the others. Before he could even finish turning it off, Meisa continued and explained their new orders. They had to die. Katsuko's expression changed rather quickly as she explained. They had to become ghosts. The Hokage has something important in mind, was his first thought, but then his thoughts drifted to his family. Jinkama had died not even a year ago. If Katsuko were to 'die' as well so soon... The thought of how his mother would take it stuck out in his mind.
Before he could think for too long, Yumi agreed to the conditions. Though he knew little about her personal life, he still felt something like surprise. And when Ryo also agreed, Katsuko certainly had a surprised expression. What about Sayomi and Kensuke... Since he was the only one yet to speak up, Katsuko took a final look around the others on the rooftop. "What is the purpose of doing this?" he asked, somewhat bluntly. "I want to know what I'm giving my life for. What is the reason behind... this decision? Something isn't being said."

I want to point out that Ryo Katsu totally said he was a kunoichi. This either means he is pulling a Tsubasa or Gero is so lazy he copied and pasted that from Yumi's post. XD
@knighthawk: I imagine there isn't much room in eight years, but he didn't have any life-changing/defining moments prior to his departure? No coincidentally tragic events? I mean, I think the kid is pretty much fine but I was just thinking that perhaps there could be something more in it to perhaps mature him a few stages ahead of a normal eight year old boy.
@FVGT: I guess we would certainly need a cook. I can't quite understand the personality, to be honest. But what I can understand looks good. XD
