Current All the guy did was change his pic to a swastika, say some entry-level /pol/ bytes, and changed his bio to basic slurs.

I don't know why we can't blast both zoophiles and pedophiles at the same time. Two birds one stone.

Kin Miyashita, signing in with flair.
The silver-haired Quartermaster sat at a desk in front of a vanity mirror on the opposite end of her room from her red, lavish bed. She had just finished applying the necessary makeup to match the sleek, black dress she was wearing and was just putting in her signature earring when Yuriko's voice shouted over the lone PA speaker above the door. The randomness combined with the volume made Kin jump, but the woman composed herself quickly and looked up at the speaker as she was instructed to head to the bridge. Though nobody was there to see it, she gave a polite nod toward the speaker to confirm her orders and stood up from her personal makeup station.

On the wall next to the door, her weapon was hung in its sheathe. While she picked up her datapad from a nightstand underneath the katana, Kin still couldn't help but admire the weapon. She hadn't drawn it in months. Perhaps it needed to be cleaned later? The woman sighed. As she clutched the datapad against her chest, Kin looked incredibly similar to a secretary stereotype. And like that she stepped out of her quarters and into the hallway. The clicks of her heels were the only sounds made as she walked across the ship toward the bridge. Though Kin wrote in her datapad a little reminder to clean Sekisetsu later.

As Kin arrived at the bridge, she saw Allison and Matthew just ahead. As the Quartermaster, Kin spends most of her time in the cargo hold. She'll see her co-workers daily, but not particularly often throughout the day. And since she hadn't seen these two in a little while, she picked up her pace slightly. While Kin is on the tall side, she generally keeps a short stride. So to move faster, her legs simply moved faster rather than actually increased in stride. The pace of clicks from her heels quickened accordingly. "Greetings," she spoke softly, stopping a brief moment to give Allison and Matthew a bow, before standing upright again and entering the bridge. Inside was the other man on board, Red. Though he seemed as if he just woke up. Nonetheless, Kin gave him a respectful bow as well. "Good morning."
It's time for a little honesty. For several months now, going all the way back to July, I have been struggling to stay involved and engaged in NewGen. Though the struggle comes not from anyone else, but from myself. It has progressively gotten worse, to the point where I'm at now where I'm not even posting. This is no one's fault but my own. But because of my inactivity, regardless of reason, I have been holding back potential progress in the IC. For that I sincerely apologize. I really do, as weird as it is for someone with my attitude to be apologizing so formally. While NewGen is clearly a great roleplay, one that I've been in for over two years now, I don't find it nearly as fun as I used to anymore. In fact, I hardly find it fun at all. And because of this I have been ruining the fun everyone else is having. That is why I'm now officially leaving NewGen.

The cynic in me wants to point out that I haven't posted in well over a month so me announcing that I'm leaving isn't much of a big deal when compared to the present facts. True as that is, I don't want you guys to have expectations that cannot be met. It would be unfair of me to stick around if I'm not going to ever do anything. Don't get me wrong, everyone here is great. I consider you guys my friends and I don't intend to suddenly stop talking with those of you still willing to converse with me. To absolutely destroy any confusion and leave no room for questions, I'm going to pull a Gerontis and explain a few things.

It probably is fairly obvious, but I have been attending a university full-time since August. While I'm not the best student, it does take up a good portion of my time and attention. But on top of that I have been working nine hour shifts in a frozen food factory to be able to afford not only my education but to afford my own food, travel, and even cover the expenses of others in my family. These two things alone take up a large portion of my time and energy. Lately, to add to my list of complaints I need to file to whichever deity rules the universe, my family's financial status has been sinking and I have been helping to cover the gap so my sister and mother can keep a roof over their heads. Which made my factory job turn from part-time to full-time. My mind and body are pushed to their limits almost every day and the stress has been compiling. So when I get home, sore and tired, I just want to relax and enjoy myself. My "out", if you will. The free time I do have, I want to have fun. That is the selfish reason why I am leaving.

This isn't a goodbye to everyone. Hell no. As if you people would get away from me that easily. This is just a goodbye to NewGen itself. It's been in my life for two years and has actually helped me through many things whether it knew it or not (which it probably didn't because the roleplay isn't sentient or even animate for that matter). While this may not be goodbye to everyone in NewGen, let's be real here: I'm terrible at keeping in touch. I'm constantly reminded of that by family and friends. I intend to keep pestering the lot of you, but just in case it takes a while until I actually follow through with that threat, I've prepared a few things to occupy the space between.

This may come across as a goodbye, but really it's more like an interim warning. I may be leaving the stage but I'm still going to be in the theater. If that analogy made any sense. I'm not a playwright and I'm hardly a writer but I think I've explained everything. If I somehow missed something, as impossible as that is, then by all means tell me. I'll probably answer any questions though I imagine I left little room for those.

Oh wait, I almost forgot.

This post really needs to stop before it starts to make me look like some kind of... I don't even know. Someone that isn't me. But don't anyone worry about me. Everyone has their trials and tribulations. Believe me when I say: I got this. If you're not smiling you better start because when you're getting caught up on what is leaving you won't notice what is staying. Damn that made me sound more proverbial than I actually am. Oh well, time for the summation of this entire announcement. But before I go, I relinquish all rights to my current characters and grant permission to anyone to do anything they deem necessary to my characters provided it benefits the roleplay. Itinerary complete.

Jacob out.
Well it wouldn't be hard for Lazarus as it is only the next day from when we last saw him. XD
Hmm. I'll say Kin has been on board for a while. Don't feel like giving a specific number yet since I don't know how long Yuriko has even owned her nameless ship yet. XD

@RBYDark: Kin would've just been polite about the flirting thing, but would always politely decline. Unless his flirting levels are off the charts, then I don't know.
The real cook is here.
Knowing how to prepare food is very important when you have an extremely limited supply. In Kin's case it is simply that she was taught to cook as part of her gender role in her family. She wasn't prepared much for space travel. XD
Took me a bit, but here's an attempt.

Hmmm...

I might write up a character for this. Seems fun.
Though the night was growing dark, Magnolia was still alive with activity. Granted it was slowly beginning to settle down. Across the city from the Guild Hall stood a simple apartment complex, surrounded by several others just like it. At this moment, an elderly lady was walking up the steps, her keys already in hand. Though simple in clothing, she carried herself almost like royalty. Before she could unlock the front door, she felt like something was behind her. Considering the empty street, that was impossible. But the chill it gave her prompted her to turn her head regardless.

"Hello ma'am." The old lady jumped in surprise to see Maddox standing at the bottom of the stairs, already waving at her. She was baffled as to how he could appear so quickly, as she was where he was not two seconds ago. Then the surprise vanished and a scowl formed on her face. "You've been gone for over three months!" the lady shouted, pointing a finger at him accusingly. "That's three months of rent you owe! And the due date for this month is next week, too!" The red-haired Mage began laughing at her aggressive display, walking up the steps to stand next to her. Side-by-side, it was clear that the landlady was much shorter than Maddox. "Sorry about that. I got a little caught up in something important while I was out on a job."

He reached inside his coat and withdrew a small sack of money. He held it out for the lady and had to wait a moment for her to take it, as she first eyed him skeptically. "That's the rent I owe. And this month. And the next few months." With a sigh, she grabbed the pouch and unlocked the front door. "You're a good boy, Maddy. You better not be late on rent again," she warned as she strutted down the hallway past a flight of stairs, towards the back of the building. This just left Maddox chuckling to himself as he closed the front door behind himself. "I won't be late on it again, Ms. Hecksworth." With that settled, the smile slowly vanished after letting out a sigh of relief. As he ascended the stairs the landlady had passed up, Maddox began taking off his fur coat.

By the time he was at the top of the stairs, his coat was hanging over his left forearm. The black, sleeveless shirt was now visible, as well as his toned arms, red guild mark, and black skull tattoo. The apartment door furthest from the stairs belonged to the key in his pocket, and after unlocking it and stepping inside, he seemed almost surprised that everything was as he left it. From the clothes on the couch to the dishes in the sink. "So nobody broke in while I was out," he joked to himself. "There'd be less dust." Tossing his coat on the couch next to a similar coat, Maddox walked over to the solitary window the apartment had. Though it wasn't particularly high up, it gave a good view over Magnolia. In fact, he could see the rooftop of the Guild Hall in the distance.

With another sigh, he relaxed himself onto the only seat on his couch that wasn't occupied by clothes. Resting his elbow on the armrest and his head on his hand, he gazed across the room toward the opposite wall. Upon it was a large corkboard with many reports and pictures pinned to it. At his distance it was impossible to properly read anything on the board, but his eyes fixed themselves on a picture that was pinned to the top-left corner. It was taken shortly after he had joined Phoenix Wing, two years ago. A picture of a slightly younger Maddox wearing a black bandana and a red and black striped t-shirt. Sitting at the bar next to him was Master Jamie. Though, that would be impossible for anyone else but Maddox to recognize due to Jamie's constantly changing form. In this picture, he was a young, blonde girl. Behind the counter, with a bottle in his hand, was Jarvis. Maddox looked at the picture for a moment. It was rather simple and held no real meaning as it was taken randomly. But it served as a good reminder of what life used to be like.

At the time of that picture, there was much more darkness tainting his heart. The weight of sin tortured him then. Yet in the picture he was smiling. The red-haired Mage let out a sigh, now leaning back against the couch. "I'm going to do it this time," he said aloud, despite the lack of audience. "I'm going to confess my crimes." His gaze shifted up to the ceiling as he leaned his head back. Tomorrow, we will be exterminating another source of the darkness, he began thinking, abandoning the previous method of talking to himself. I've been holding myself back for so long. And while that has helped me recover in some ways, it has hindered me in others. I have matured to the point where I can handle the truth now. His gaze shifted toward the window now, looking out across the rooftops of Magnolia. The question is whether everyone else can.
