Banded Talonflame will destroy Azumarill, but that requires a sacrifice to do and the Azu can easily switch to avoid the death. The way I stop Azu is by bringing semi-bulk Pokemon against it. Things that can't get 2HKO'd by Aqua Jet and are faster than Azu. In those situations they either switch or die, and both are good.
Azu can't OHKO a Mega Metagross, but MegaGross can 2HKO it. So it's a good match-up if there's nothing better to stop it.
My spread is max attack and max HP with the last four in defense. The HP bulk lets me get more switches on hazards because it ends up having an odd number on the stat. But that's just my playstyle, where I switch Azu in a lot to scare things and deal mad damage on switch-ins.
I've found that Choice Band Azu puts in mad work. My personal favorite to use. So many OHKOs and 2HKOs.
I use Outrage all the time. Only when the opponent ain't got Fairies alive.
