Shin Maru, Topaz

The suggestions to handle the matter seemed mostly unnecessary. Shin figured that they could get all the information they'd need to come to an accurate conclusion from Yamato himself. But that was provided that Yamato was going to cooperate. The assumption that his classmate would be willing to go along with the idea was soon squashed as the man himself practically exploded in rage, taking it out on the people around him. Shin's eyes narrowed and he crossed his arms over his chest, saying nothing as Yamato unwound on Paneru and then Daiki. His facial expression, however, grew to one of anger.

Then Yamato began cursing at him. When he began to approach Shin, the crystal user notably stood up straight and tensed his body. He wasn't about to let Yamato touch him with his flaming hands, but it never came down to that. He was distracted by his phone, taking the call and seemingly forgetting that everyone around him existed. "You go too far, Yamato," Shin stated, surprisingly calmly. His eyes drifted to Paneru and Daiki, who received the brunt of the verbal abuse, before his gaze went back to the departing Yamato. "I won't let you do that again."

While his voice was calm, the meaning was clearly a warning. Shin wasn't going to give his classmate the benefit of the doubt any longer. The next time he took it upon himself to assault the others, Shin was going to step in. I don't want to fight him, but he's so hard-headed. Hurting him a little is a small price to pay to stop him from hurting others, Shin reaffirmed in his mind. He remained still as several others took off after Yamato, showing no sign of desire to follow him. While they all wanted to take off into action, Shin knew this was still the time to think.

He turned his attention to the remaining few, as Sentou already made sure they weren't going anywhere. "If what Takeshi is saying is true, and Daiki wasn't lying either..." Shin began thinking aloud, bringing a hand to his chin. "Then the Yakuza and Jashin are connected in some way right now. Something must've happened, because these murders are new. Yamato wouldn't tell us anything, but it seems to me that his family is also involved, personally." He hummed to himself for a moment, reviewing what he heard in his head. "Jashinists killed several of our classmates seemingly randomly. But... they were perhaps trying to kill someone specific. For an ancient cult to come out after all this time, they must have a reason."

Tsukiko Umene, Honeybadger

Unceremoniously and without warning, Tsukiko opened the door to Fujitora's office and casually walked in. Her hands and most of her forearms were stained with blood, but it seemed mostly dry. "I examined the body," she began, sitting down in one of the chairs along the wall of the room. She was clearly unclean, but Tsukiko didn't seem to care if Fujitora was bothered by the possibility of cleaning up blood. "Lab says nothing unusual in the blood, besides the drug you gave him. Stomach contents had nothing suspicious, seems that he ate mostly rice. Probably explains why he was so weak. But the death seal he had was placed on his lungs."

Tsukiko paused for a moment, to let the strangeness of the idea sink in. "Most people would put the death seal on the heart, to instantly kill when triggered. Placing it on the lungs will kill quickly, but it is also more painful. Probably a lot more painful. So whoever did it didn't just want to keep the guy quiet, but to also punish him in case he revealed information." Tsukiko let out a sigh. "It's a pain in the ass. The seal was generic as far as I can tell, no real calling card. His organs haven't been discarded yet if you want to see for yourself... Oh, damnit." The woman had crossed her legs when she sat down, and only now noticed that there was some blood on her right boot. "I just bought these this week."

Tsukiko Umene ; Fujitora Choko

The door to the interrogation room swung open, clanging against the wall as a body was thrown into the room. The restrained criminal landed directly on the steel table, bouncing off and landing on his side on the ground with a grunt of pain. The woman responsible for his capture and detainment, Tsukiko Umene, followed in behind him, closing the door behind her surprisingly gently. "Morning, Commander," she greeted, walking calmly around the table. The person she arrested was dressed in a sharp black suit, now notably tattered, and his upper body was bound tightly in ninja wire to keep his arms to his sides. The bruising on his face further indicated struggle, but he seemed particularly submissive now.

"Good Morning, Captain." responded the commander as any gentleman would to a woman. Arms crossed and seated, he scrutinized the suspect for any visible links regarding possible affiliations or symbols. So far, there wasn't much to work on.

"Get up," she commanded the fellow. After struggling for a second to sit up, Tsukiko grew impatient and grabbed him by his collar, hefting him up to his feet with one arm and rudely tossing him into the single metal seat. Before he could take two breaths, Tsukiko's hand met the back of his head and shoved him forward, pinning his face against the steel table. "He won't give up his name," she began briefing, "But he is clearly Yakuza. Found him trying to leave the city late last night, thinking he could sneak past me. But I could smell his fear." Her grey eyes floated up to Fujitora. "Suspect timing if I ever saw it. He put up a fight too, had several weapons on him. Didn't help ya none did it, dumbass? Nobody ever taught you to not resist arrest, did they?"

"No name huh? We have his prints. I suppose you've searched for papers? Nothing huh?" he spoke as if the suspect didn't exist, a way to dehumanize the individual under their mercy. He didn't want the guy to feel important, to give him a pat on his ego by acknowledging more than he had to. Nonetheless, he still kept a close fixation on the shady looking man. "So you're betting on Yakuza? Then I guess you can check his chest for tattoos." he suggested to his subordinate, curious as to what they would find.

With no warning, Tsukiko gripped his brown hair and yanked him back upright. Holding him in place, she pulled out her gut knife with her free hand and made a quick vertical swipe across his chest. The man flinched, clearly afraid for his health, but found the blade never reached his skin. The ninja wire binding him fell to the floor, but more importantly the front of his suit was cut open and rested to the side, exposing his torso. While he breathed a sigh of relief, Tsukiko raised an eyebrow in confusion. "This is different," she noted, observing the cross tattoo that took up the entirety of his chest. A light grin played on the man's lips, quickly angering Tsukiko. With a powerful thrust, she slammed his face into the table again, releasing his head in the process. "Maybe you can get him to talk. Bastard thinks he's hilarious, it seems."

The tattoo seemed pretty cryptic to say the least, it was indeed "different" from what they were initially expecting. The patterns, he had never seen before, even among smaller gangs nothing was quite like this around here. A foreign gang? Possible given the Minamoru business expanding abroad. But then again, judging by his ethnicity and general look, he seemed more from Konoha than anywhere else. He had to make the guy talk to advance, otherwise this would just be a stalemate. "You may be right, captain." he'd say before extracting from his coat's pocket, the one hanging near the door, a syringe he'd immediately stab on the guy's neck as he was kept in the hands of the huntress. "There, there. I can assure you, I know my shit regarding drugs. And no, I don't have some honorable history, once a gangster, now a cop trope. But I digress, you'll soon find it hard to make things up, somewhat like a movie director, right?" he'd humorously look at his fellow jonin, easing the tension before going all bad cop on the guy. "So. Who are you?"

The man remained silent at first, prompting Fujitora to gesture his colleague to "motivate" the thug a bit. The wild woman maneuvered behind the suspect, grabbing him by his wrists. He began to turn his head to see what she was planning on doing, but her right boot came up and pressed against his spine, forcing his chest against the table while she held his arms at a backwards, twisted angle. "Let's see how flexible he is," Tsukiko said calmly, before yanking further on his arms. The strain and pain was immediately detectable, judging by the shout of pain that released from the man. "He's pretty flexible. Most people would've dislocated their shoulders at this point. Maybe if I pull harder he can go even further?"

She began to apply pressure with her leg as well this time, making it seem like Tsukiko was genuinely trying to rip his arms off. "Stop! Stop!" She eased the tension on his arms now. "It speaks. Stop what?" Another yank solicited another shout of pain from him. "Stop! Stop trying to take my arms!" "I didn't hear you say please." "Please!" The moment Tsukiko released his arms and removed her boot from his back, the man sat upright and began wiggling his shoulders, trying to ease the pain. "I'll talk, I'll talk..." The jonin moved around the table now, sitting on the side of the table, rather than in the chair next to Fujitora, and facing him. "My name... is Mitsuin." Tsukiko glared at him, already prepared to yell at him for his full name. "Mitsuin Tanaka."

The commander didn't blink once toward this torture scene, it almost felt like routine to him, even if Shinobi activity decreased greatly the past years. He wasn't going to limit the wild woman either, after all he kept her around just for that, plus the drug would likely make him a lot more sensitive than he'd usually be. "So, John Doe does have a name. There's a million Tanaka's in this country. But that isn't important. What I want to know is where you come from, and mostly why were you and your supposed friends stalking the immense property of the Minamoru. It is Yakuza territory, meaning you have no business there. So, please satisfy my curiosity, Mitsuin-kun." he'd inquire, calmly on his designated chair. He wasn't sure where this was going to lead and there was no emergency, so getting agitated over it would feel a little too unprofessional for his taste.

The man rubbed his wrists a bit, avoiding direct eye contact with Fujitora as he gathered his thoughts. "I am not of any family," he said, oddly proudly. "Nor do I have any home." Tsukiko felt tempted to rough him up again, but she knew that being too violent may make him change his mind. "I was not stalking. I was enjoying the view." This irritated her too much, and now Tsukiko took action. The mere act of her standing back up gave Mitsuin a jolt of fear. "I was there to see what it was like... I know that is is Yakuza territory. That is the attraction."

"Stop talking weird, Mitsuin. Get to the point." The man flinched when she spoke, but he quickly realized he wasn't being abused. "I speak the truth. The Yakuza are very important these days. I wanted to see what their home territory was like. To make future decisions. They are an impressive force." His strange way of speaking was clearly agitating Tsukiko. "You're still dodging the question..." she growled. "I was there to survey. I did not intend to cause any harm or strife. I'm not sure how you discovered me, but I meant to be stealthy. I merely wanted to see the bodies... There were supposed to die..."

"The bodies of the Chuunin?" Fujitora asked, pretty much confirming the ties with the other bandit that had run away. Even more so, it confirmed that these events were linked and there was indeed something going on with the Yakuza. But it still didn't add up, the commander couldn't grasp why they would kill a bunch of kids near the Minamoru household if they purposely came to the Yakuza grounds without actually killing relevant Yakuza. Not to mention, having them take the blame for it in such bland ways was ridiculous. "Tanaka-kun, you are bullshitting. You may need an extra dosage of my potion accompanied by my dear colleague's motivational maneuvers. I want to know where your friends are?! What was their goal at the household?!" he raised his voice, despite not wanting to invest too much in this, the nonsense and the lack of control over his temper made Fujitora prone to lashing out.

The suspect began to chuckle after Fujitora's questioning. "My friends?" Tsukiko reached across the table, grabbing the man by his cheeks, squeezing hard to force his mouth open. Her free hand withdrew her knife again, now holding the tip of the blade between his teeth. "Your teeth aren't looking so well," she spoke, her voice eerily calm. "I'm not a dentist, but I can help with that." Before she could torture him further, the man began struggling. "Wait!" he managed to get out, stopping the abuse before it could happen. Tsukiko released him, letting him fall back into his chair.

"You two want to know what we are doing... But it wouldn't matter if I told you. Fate has already been decided. The Yakuza... the Leaf... It holds no relevance to our intentions. We have always been clever, one step ahead. This interrogation... will be fruitless." A grin formed on his face as he began chuckling again. "You two can't possibly understand our true intentions. But if you truly want to die, you can ask my comrades what they think. Minamoru and Son's... storage and delivery... that's... where you can go... to die." Before he could continue his threats he began coughing violently, falling forward onto the table. "Hey!" Tsukiko grabbed him by his hair again, hoisting Mitsuin upright again. Only his body seemed to be limp and unmoving, foam dripping out his mouth onto his lap and a lifeless look in his eyes. "A death seal."

"Salvage what you can, Tsukiko. He's expired." he'd bluntly say, addressing his colleague in a less formal manner indicated his insecurity toward what was going on. An unknown menace was toying with them and a mere grunt was already imposing serious doubts about the true threats lurking during this supposed era of peace. Abruptly standing up, he'd pull out his phone whilst exiting the room. "I'm doing to deal with the little we got. In my office when you're done, good?" he'd ask, though the compulsory response was to be affirmative, so there was no point in waiting for an answer when she'd be already handling the drying guy's remains.

Fujitora, before making any rash decisions, looked up the name "Minamoru and Son's Storage and Delivery" on his phone, referring to both the web and the archives, only to have no matching results despite the typical name. Cursing the turn of events in his mind, Fujitora would have no choice but to refer to various nitches down at the underground to possibly find the information for him, but because it wasn't already saved, it would likely mean the specific information wasn't not accessible so easily. Time was of the essence, there was a mystery group with a mystery tattoo doing mysterious things with the most notorious gang in the country. Pausing right before a large window of the Hokage mansion, he'd peer out at the skycrapers around. He'd dial a specific number on his phone and pressed call.

He was calling Yamato Minamoru. Fujitora had enough grounds to believe he'd at least be in danger, he and his sister anyway, and he'd have to warn her. But there could also be a chance that he'd know what guy was saying, that cryptic name with the Minamoru clan's name on it. There wasn't much to lose after all.

Shin Maru, Topaz

Shin had stayed up most of the night, having a difficult time falling asleep. His family was all in bed by the time he arrived home the night before, so he stayed up by himself. The thought of someone hunting down and killing his classmates bothered him greatly. It was unprecedented, for starters, and seemingly random. Shin knew there had to be some reasoning behind the situation, some larger picture that he couldn't see yet. It wasn't until the early morning did he get any sleep.

The text message to meet up was what woke him up, inevitably. The teen looked at the request for a moment, realizing that he wasn't the only one that wanted answers. "If we put our heads together, we'll figure this out," he mumbled to himself, crawling out of bed and stretching.

After his morning workout and a shower, Shin was dressed and on his way to the others. Of course he was running late, but he knew his friends weren't too strict on punctuality. They were all teenagers and would understand, and Shin was strict about staying in shape. He wasn't willing to forgo his morning training. The walk across Konoha wasn't so bad, but he always felt strange walking through Downtown. Not so much that he felt threatened, but he could feel that the people there were less fortunate and likely hated him on appearance. It was a strange sensation.

Shin arrived at the hangout just in time to hear Daiki accuse Yamato's father of ordering the killing. He remained silent, listening to the entire explanation. The feud between the Naito and Minamoru became more clear to Shin now, with such a thing being stated. But if Daiki had overheard suspicious people talking like that, he had more information than anyone else and was most likely to be right. Jaakuna was quick to question Daiki's theory, and so was Shin.

"Hold on," Shin spoke up, announcing his presence. "Attacking Yamato's family won't get us anywhere. But we do need some answers, and it's obvious that the Minamoru have something to do with the killings last night." Shin turned his attention to Yamato now. The Young Master would surely be fuming right now, with how the conversation has been going. "Yamato, we need to know what you know. Your father is very suspicious right now, and you know him better than any of us. Tell us everything."

Shin Maru, Topaz

Before Shin and Paneru could take the crystallized Rena to the hospital, sheer coincidence allowed Ayame Choko to appear at the scene. Topaz instantly froze when she gave the command to stop. He didn't want to believe her opinion, but on the inside he knew she was right. Rena wasn't going to survive, even with his effort to save her. The shirtless teen slowly set her down, the crystal surrounding her disintegrating into dust. Her body de-crystallized once she was 'thawed' out, unfreezing her and putting her back on the path to death. Shin kept his back to Rena, and subsequently the group, as they crowded around her again.

"Yeah... I know..." He didn't want to admit Ayame was right, but he had nothing to gain by defying reality. Rena was going to die, just like the others. Classmates that he couldn't save, friends forever lost. He only looked at the others when they were told to go home. "It will be difficult to just go home after this," Shin stated directly, turning to face his superior. "We let our friends die. In our own backyard." He opened his mouth to say more, but curbed his tongue. There was no point in moaning about the situation. Ayame was right in her thinking, and Shin knew he needed to think clearly too. "Sorry... Let us know if we can help any..."

Shin moved to put his hands in his jacket pockets before remembering that he left his overclothes at the lakehouse. He'd have to go and get those back. He began walking back towards the party, or rather where it was, when he noticed that Sentou and Aoi weren't exactly heading home. Those two are playing it dangerous, he thought to himself, watching the Uchiha follow the clown. I can't let two cuties like them get in danger. Especially not right now. We've already failed as a class once today... With a sigh, Shin decided to change course. He could retrieve his clothes tomorrow, assuming nobody decided to steal them. For now it seemed the best option was to tail the girls and make sure they'd be safe. Strength in numbers, at the very least. But Shin was on guard and prepared for an ambush. Nobody else was dying on his watch.

Shin Maru, Topaz

The shirtless teen watched unflinchingly as Yamato gave his spiel, following his release from Shin's crystal. The expression on his face was more like on of annoyance than acceptance, but even then he seemed almost devoid of emotion as the prodigy vented some of his rage and even threatened Shin. The Topaz didn't even bat an eye, until Yamato directly stated that he would kill Daiki if they fought again. "If you keep disregarding your comrades, you will find yourself all alone," Shin stated, his voice having detectable anger. "Your accomplishments will be meaningless if you die lonely." Unlike the two that were fighting, however, he was perfectly able to contain his emotions and stopped talking beyond the point he wanted to make.

Prodding Yamato like that wasn't very nice. His threat to Shin earlier wasn't an empty one, as Yamato would most likely try to attack him next time. But Shin felt that the prodigy wasn't so far ahead that he stood no chance. He had never tangled with Yamato in the past so he didn't know for sure, but Shin figured that he could beat his classmate if he really had to. The objective was to not have to fight his classmates. His blue eyes turned to Daiki as the prodigy walked away. It seemed that he got the idea and didn't wish to continue the pointless duel. The red-haired teen was soon snatched away by Aoi, to be scolded for starting a fight at her party. Shin never intended to scold either of the shinobi, but he wasn't the one hosting.

Daiki's response to her scolding, however, made Shin raise an eyebrow. It was evident that Daiki had some sort of pride investment when it came to Yamato, likely in relation to their clans' past feud. Or was it still going on? Why would it still be going on? Regardless, Shin narrowed his eyes at Daiki. He still intended to fight Yamato at a later date. Before he could interrupt, someone else did it for him. A feminine scream came from the forest that surrounded the small house and lake. Shin first looked to Jaakuna, finding immediately that the Sundance Kid was on his way to discovering the source. "Oh no..." he muttered to himself. This party was falling apart now. All he wanted to do was unwind and appreciate the nice bodies of some of his female classmates. But it seemed that fate had other plans.

Shin followed his friends to the source, arriving to see Aoi and Paneru tending to the sole survivor of a grisly scene of mutilated bodies. Bodies of his classmates. And the girl they were taking care of didn't seem to be in any position to survive. Not by normal circumstances, at any rate. "Stand aside," Shin commanded to Aoi and Paneru, approaching the severely wounded girl. He flexed his fingers a few times in preparation. His expression was stern, serious. All business, almost as if he dissociated himself from the scene. "Rena," he said her name as he stood above her. He brought his hands together, forming the Ram seal.

Much like how he intervened with Yamato and Daiki's fight, an orange crystal formed from the ground and encased the girl. The crystal was notably smaller, but his classmates may notice a slight difference in its apparent density. "I've crystallized her," Shin stated, turning his head to face his friends (who may be confused by his action). "She is basically frozen in time. Her skin, her organs, her blood. She needs medical attention that we can't provide here and now." His neutral expression seemed to grow sad now. His plan was practical and effective, no doubt. But he couldn't help but feel, in the back of his mind, that she still wouldn't survive. The shirtless teen faced away from his classmates as he hefted up the crystal encasing Rena, holding her on top of his shoulder. "Think about it, guys."

"These guys are all chuunin. Our classmates. We know they are capable of defending themselves... We need to warn the others."
Shin finally turned completely around to face the others. He intentionally looked only at them, keeping his focus away from the gruesome corpses. "Yagyu," he said, looking at Paneru. "Come with me. We need to get Rena to the hospital. Someone needs to go warn everyone else about what happened and... someone needs to stay with the bodies..." The last task was the short straw, no doubt. It was the most unnerving and potentially the most dangerous. But if they left the bodies alone, there comes the possibility of the scene being tampered with or the bodies being taken altogether. "We can't lose our heads right now. Lives are on the line... C'mon, Wallflower. We can't waste any time." Shin held onto the large crystal with both hands as he jumped into the trees, taking the signature high-speed route of the shinobi. Jumping very fast from high place to high place, that is. The added weight of carrying Rena slowed Shin down slightly, but he also kept a pace slower than his maximum to allow Paneru to keep up. There was no point in leaving him behind, considering that time wasn't nearly as much of a problem in saving Rena's life. The only thing time was relevant to right now isn't in saving her life, but saving the lives of the rest of the party-goers.
It's all good man. I'm sure we all understand how that feels.
Should've posted yesterday. So I use quality to make up for tardiness. I hope.
Maddox

The red-haired mage chuckled as Wes asked about the cube. "Yeah, I finally got those made. Breaking the cube will send out a pulse of my magic, to scan the environment and send out a signal. Means I can save your ass in a pinch. If you need it, that is," Maddox explained. He took a pause to drag on his cigarette, finally burning it to the filter and tossing it on the ground. He casually squished it under his boot, to guarantee there would be no accidental fires. "I won't stop you if you want to walk. Just figured I'd lend a hand to an old friend."

The smile faded now, his serious expression returning. "I realized something while you were gone. I had lost my purpose." There was a brief silence. "Getting you back gave me a purpose. I discovered how weak I've become when I have nothing to strive for. So don't think I'm hiding any anger about your decision to go. The act of finding you allowed me to find myself." The grin returned as Maddox put his fist against his chest. "I couldn't even stand up to one of the bad guys. Some lousy piece of work I am, huh. But don't worry."

"I'm not failing again. While I'm still here, no harm can come to Phoenix Wing. So you don't have to burden yourself with that either."
His fist went back to his side now, but the grin didn't vanish. "I'd lend you some cash, but for some reason I don't think I'll ever see it back." With a chuckle, Maddox finally turned away from Wes Gusto. "Good luck, friend. Hopefully the next time we meet up, you'll have everything in order." With a dismissive wave, Maddox began walking towards the guild hall.

Wes Gusto was always a mysterious fellow. The first time Maddox even met him he only learned his name. He and Wes used to be the strongest, the best at what they did. Only the Gravity Mage was ever able to keep Maddox on his toes. But Wes was more than a sparring partner. He too was running from his past by staying at Phoenix Wing. Both of them were criminals, in their own respects. Neither had ever told the other about their past, but somehow they had both come to understand. "See ya, Wes."

Several classmates nearby looked on in jealous awe or mild delight, depending on their gender, as Shin removed his jacket and kimono. Shin Maru was known to be well-built, but he wasn't removing his shirt randomly. His intention was to join in on the fun at the lake, and he didn't want to get his nice clothes soaking wet should anything happen. As well, his phone was in his jacket pocket. It was better to put them somewhere safe, and it didn't hurt to show off his body for any of the girls that he intended to socialize with. The shinobi called Topaz put his clothes on an empty lawn chair near the lake, also kicking his shoes off and setting them underneath it.

"Hey, ladies," Shin called out casually to several bikini-clad girls frolicking on the lake. His cool and suave demeanor didn't last long. The young man barely stepped onto the water before he could hear a fight breaking out behind him. He actually did it, Shin thought, his smile vanishing as he looked over his shoulder to see Daiki and Yamato going at it. And those two aren't holding anything back... With a sigh, Shin looked forward to the girls he was about to talk to. "Sorry, girls. Give me a moment."

He calmly brought his hands together to form a single handseal, Ram. The look on his face was uncharacteristic and lacked emotion. He was neither angry nor sad, but rather looked as if he was obligated to perform this technique. Behind him, as Yamato and Daiki were about to finally clash in their potentially deadly attacks, a large and thick crystal, orange in color, erupted from the ground underneath them. The crystal was large enough to encase not only the two real fighters but also Daiki's clone. The Jade Crystal Prison Technique. It was an underhanded attack, in a way, as the fight was not his and the intervention would undoubtedly be unappreciated by both combatants. But Shin knew that letting any fight get out of hand could potentially be worse than simply ruining a party.

His light blue eyes settled on the crystallized fighters as he turned to face them. "You guys are going to kill each other," he said simply, stating it like it was a fact rather than a reason to stop. Inside his Crystal Prison they wouldn't be able to move or even respond, but they could definitely hear the outside world. Probably slightly muffled, but shinobi should have good hearing anyways. Shin looked over to Naomi, who was standing nearby. She could definitely get a handle on the situation. Shin was foolish but he knew that once the crystal is removed, there wouldn't be anything physically stopping them from continuing where they left off. They'd also probably have a reason to turn attention to him.

"I'm not going to preach here, but aren't you two getting worked up over nothing? Having a short fuse doesn't help anybody, not even yourselves. No matter how you feel at the moment, a pointless fight will still be a pointless fight at the end of the day." Shin raised his hand, touching the crystal that had the two trapped. He gave Naomi a serious look, one of a warning. "I'm going to let you two out now. If you two are still going to fight, at least do it without weapons or ninjutsu... You're classmates, guys." As promised, the orange crystal surrounding Yamato and the two Daiki shattered, disintegrating into nothingness. They were free now. Shin knew that there was a good chance they'd continue, with a small chance one of them might turn on him. Despite this possibility he didn't move an inch, standing hardly a meter away from the two shinobi. Their pride may have been damaged some by his intervention, but Shin believed that they would have a better view of their squabble now.
