At least we still have a fleet to go back to."
After Task Force Sabre's very costly victory over the ET Forces, the remaining elements of the small fleet rejoined the mainforce, being repaired in the rear of the massive formation by the Junk Guild and the multi-factional Fleet Auxilaries. As it was before Maddox took a portion of the fleet on the suicide run, there was no movement from either side. The ETs must not be very confident after that little display, as Maddox intended to show them humanity's fighting spirit - it worked, but at too high a price. Meanwhile, the Colonial Fleet remained still also. Nobody made a move for almost two weeks while they nursed their wounds.
"Feel really stiff for some reason... Wha... Where am I...?" Izumi asked, but all she could see was light. It took a moment, but her eyes grew accustomed to her surroundings quite quickly. An infirmary? It was empty, save for a strange looking bed with a glass cover in one corner. This wasn't the Minerva-class she was used to. Where was this? She struggled at first but managed to sit up in the bed, then lean on the wall behind her pillow for support. Her arm was in a sling, plasters and bandages all over the parts of skin she could see in the pajamas. Wait, pajamas? This was one luxurious ship! ...But how long was she out for?!
"Let's see here..." Izumi whispered as she pressed in an intercom beside her bed, "...Uh... I just woke up. So whoever's on the receiving end of this thing.. Please come to the infirmary?"
"Well thank fuck for that. Oi, Cronic - sleeping beauty's awake now if you wanted a chat." A familiar young Irish accent came through. Glitch. Or as Izumi knew him...

"Quite." Aldeo responded to Atonai. "Aura, I'll take these two. See if you can give Master Atonai a rest - you are a remarkable fighter with your lightsabers. But with the Force? You could still use some work. Go." Master Aldeo told his Padawan as he fought on. The Sith couldn't keep up with his defensive form, and one by one they began to fall to his fast strikes whenever they let their guard down.
Aura then reluctantly made her way around the Assassins her Master was keeping busy, and attacked Kaleko with one downwards slash from his left, believing he wouldn't notice. But while Aura had training, the Sith Apprentice likely had a lot of experience.
"What is with you Imperials and calling all your enemies 'scum'?" Aura asked the Sith kid.

Rico immediately shoved his fist into Ryuji's, "Fuckin' A! Dying is against the rules. You break that rule and you don't get a funeral at the end of it." He cheered, while Aegis reluctantly put his fist in with the other two's. "I hope Leo flies fast. Rome is quite a ways out, right?" Rico asked.
"Well, they would never expect three Mages to come from the sky with a Dragon. That should give them a nice scare." Aegis commented.

"I'm trying to be nice here," The interrogator said, nodding to his subordinate and pulling out a cigar, lighting it with his gaze fixed on Levi's eyes. His torture assistant punched the 'Vault Lollygagger' in the side of the head to make it even more clear that they were serious. Obviously, Levi just wasn't all that serious - in fact he was playing with them, and it pissed both of the interrogators off! "Name. Occupation. And tell me everything you know about Samuel Weaver, Vault 122's Chief Engineer. Where is he?"
At this point, Sarah didn't know if they wanted to find 'Chief' to kill him, capture him, or escort him or what! Dave seemed like he needed the guy alive, so.. was this just a really violent way of trying to get information on the guy? The only reason Sarah hadn't said a word yet was because she didn't know what they wanted with him, and they wouldn't say anything. Weaver was her mentor, she didn't want to hand him over to some jerk Mercenaries for bad treatment. Hell, why the hell would Levi or Sarah know where he was? History: Little Aria never knew her real parents. Much like the original Dragon Slayers in the world, she was abandoned in the wilderness before she could walk. But given that she was left outside of a recently destroyed town, which housed a Mage Guild, you could imagine she was probably saved by her parents rather than being coldly thrown out as an unwanted child. When Team Natsu showed up a few days later to see what had happened, Wendy found the baby and took it back to Fairy Tail. Noting that a lot of the Guild already had growing families, Wendy decided to raise the child as her own after the Master approved of it. Wendy was made the guild's new Medicinal Advisor after Porlyusica passed away, while Carla was the guild's 'mystic' of sorts. So young Aria had a home to stay in and a mother who also served as a mentor in healing as she grew older.
Aria wore a striking resemblance to Wendy, so it was safe to keep hiding the truth of her past from the little girl, now a Novice Mage of Fairy Tail. By now Aria wouldn't believe it anyway, even if Wendy bluntly told her the truth. Like a real mother and daughter, they were inseparable... Until that day. When Magnolia came under attack, Wendy told Aria not to move from their home in the woods until she or Carla returned. Days passed, and finally there was a knock on the door. It was a fatally wounded Mage. He'd returned to tell Aria to do one thing on the request of Wendy - "Find.. Igneel..!" With his final breath faded, he dropped a piece of paper with messily drawn directions on it. The young girl couldn't argue, there was a parade of hooded figures marching toward the secluded house. Grabbing only what she could carry without slowing herself down, Aria tearfully ran away to find the other surviving Fairies...

As such, when Sora finally passes away due to his spiritual illness, Ami is due to inherit the Vongola and the title of Vongola Tredecimo, the 13th. Yes, the unlucky number for an already-unlucky kid! She certainly has the kindness and strong sense of justice that the previous bosses had since Tsunayoshi's era, but severely lacks much fighting capability. Considering some families would like to eat the Vongola alive for making the mafia world more 'cushy', Ami is plainly and bluntly doomed from the moment she gets crowned Boss. This is where the renowned hitman Reborn comes in as Ami's tutor!
Ami doesn't have that much of a social life or all that many pals. She's only had two really good friends in her lifetime: Nanami Hinata, and Kozato Yuuji. Yuuji because of the strong bond between Vongola and Simon, and 'Nata because he's more or less in the same 'absolute/mostly failure' boat as her.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm just not interested in that kinda thing, you know? If I got a girlfriend I'd probably blow her hands off every time we tried to hold hands, blow her head off every time we kissed, and whatnot. Well maybe not to that magnitude, but still! Girls wouldn't like a crash mage, I'm just too awesome for them to handle! ...In magical terms." Rico ranted on his way back to the couch, taking a seat beside the three and resuming his driving game.
Aegis sighed, rolled his eyes and did something unexpected for such a cold person. He picked up a second controller and started gaming away with Rico, and eventually he'd even get competitive and start laughing! But later he probably wouldn't admit to any of it. Being around this lot was making him a warmer person, little by little.
Misa found herself looking between Ryuji, Rico and Aegis. She knew what they were going to do - she heard it plain and simple... But they didn't seem fazed at all, they didn't try to hide it or go for the whole 'giving final words' idea. "But Ryuji is mostly mine, kay? I get 2/3 of Ryuji." She asserted herself as if it were a real discussion
