We expect this to be a long running game, right? (Taking a short break after four hours of HW on top of a (so far) 20 hour day.)

Very well. I'll most likely get something set up for Cuba, kind of timeskipping to the beginning months of the Cuban revolution. The only part of the Cold War that really interested me was the Cuban missile crisis (due to Canada's involvement), so I'll see if I can get some interestingly tense RP going.

I completely understand where you're coming from on that. But if you look into the tense moments surrounding the Missile Crisis, basically the decisions made in those days by both the NATO countries and the Kremlin prevented nuclear war at a point where both sides could've justified starting it. I suppose I've never read extensively into the other aspects of the Cold War, but this event has always grabbed my attention. And when it comes to Canada's involvement, it shows how unsure of its political position Canada was in those decades, Prime Minister Diefenbaker actually turning Canada's back on the United States and favoring the neutral "peacekeeper" status. Sorry if I sounded idiotic with that vague statement earlier.Edit: I've posted my Nation Sheet on the thread already, but I'm not quite sure if I should've waited to be accepted to roleplay as that nation first. Or can I hop right into the roleplay and begin posting?

I honestly think we should just RP out wars and figure out what happens with realism in mind.

Isn't this alternate history? Whatever happens in real life doesn't apply here I think. (except real people's deaths, I think)
