Well the others said they were interested so I made the thread, but then I haven't really heard from them since about this.

I can't claim to be an expert on Chinese history as my area of specialty is European history, but I think most people can agree the Great Leap Forward was a failure. If you want to industrialize, Mao, you did it wrong.
