Thank you :) I think that bio is one of the best I've written sadly...Personality has always been hard for me to describe. I don't know why I just have trouble doing it. I'll come up with something though. I'll take a few bits off the wiki but it's mostly going to be my interpretation of him.I still feel stupid about it! lol.

Personality is hard for me to describe too. However, once I'm actually RPing it then I'm excellent at developing a character's personality.
Who were you playing again, Faith? I need to update the character roster on the first page. Your characters got listed as NPC here before we knew you were returning xD.
I believe I only have one more RP post to get up and then I can get to work on the rest of my CS.
Attract the Capitol's attention. It was such a simple piece of advice, yet Willow somehow knew it was bound to be more difficult than it sounded. Somehow the Capitol seemed like a crowd that was easily entertained, but there was 22 other tributes out there. That was quite some serious competition and tree costumes were so unforgettable those would make District 7 go down for sure. Aelius had promised there was better stylists at least, but how much better? Would they actually have the guts to get more creative? Certainly there were themes they could play off besides trees.

Despite the current atmosphere, Willow managed to let out a laugh at Sequoia's comment. Naked? That for sure ironically would attract attention more than the same old tree costumes would, but certainly it would never fly with the Capitol audiences. They wanted to see costumed tributes and that showed with how elaborate the parade costumes often were. The fact that there was apparently new and more competent stylists managed to even provide minor excitement. Willow wanted to see what sort of magic they could pull off. "Yes. That's good news for us both. Maybe we'll actually be memorable. I have siblings to get home to..."

As the two tributes discussed costumes Birch began eying them both. He was definitely an eager one, but hopefully it would work to either of the tributes' benefit. "Yes, I can wield and axe just like most of District 7 can. I presume Sequoia here can as well." Willow remarked, quickly turning her attention to him. Axe wielding. One of the skills that almost all District 7 children picked up from a young age. It had been something Willow never truly intended for herself, but fate said otherwise the day her brother had been taken from her. At this very moment she was glad for those circumstances for once; if things had gone her way then there was a pretty strong guarantee that the games would take her too. Now she knew she had a fighting chance.

Willow's comments seemed to sit well with Birch as he seemed to nod in approval before taking a seat. "I expected as much. That is what most expect from our district though so I suggest working on an extra skill or two in the training centre." He advised, quickly realizing that District 7 was one of the more "predictable" districts as far as skillset went. Lumberjacks. Axes. Almost everybody made the connection quite quickly and thought of ways to exploit it. Given her crafting skills, Willow figured that she'd be able to wield a small blade of sorts, but she'd have to wait and see. There were so many variables to factor in such as which sort of weapons would be available in both the training centre and the arena.
Posted. I forgot to address Brazil though to aid the communists. Oh well. Next post I suppose.

East Berlin, German Democratic Republic

Much to the East German leadership's delight correspondence had been sent back from Cuba. Fidel Castro himself had taken time to write back a letter and by then any further correspondence became obvious. Castro. He was coming to the German Democratic Republic, even if just to develop diplomatic relations. Any allies, especially for Cuba, were bound to be valuable. Crowds, not only in Leipzig, but elsewhere throughout the DDR were growing fond of the Cuban struggle as well.

From: Wilhelm Pieck
To: Fidel Castro

I very much admire your dedication and am confident that you will continue leading the Cuban people down the correct path. After years of colonialist occupation by America I can only say you and your people will benefit greatly from this new found independence. The struggle is not without enemies, however, so in response I invite you and your closest advisers into the German Democratic Republic to further discuss diplomatic relations and perhaps an economic alliance. After years of war we too are trying to get back on our feet and certainly your country has resources that could potentially be beneficial to us, and vice versa.

In solidarity, Wilhelm Pieck

Even though the man didn't directly admit it, Wilhelm found himself growing fond of Fidel Castro. Certainly he strongly believed in his cause to have successfully led a revolution with only a small group of men. From what Wilhelm knew, that sort of thing took massive amounts of morale and dedication, both of which were clearly shining bright in the Cuban people. Attitudes across Europe seemed quite a bit different, judging by recent events in Poland. They seemed to have little interest in proletarian rule and even went as far as removing those who would ensure it. That made much of the East German leadership feel uneasy, but fortunately Moscow still seemed to have a grip on the situation.

Despite everything, there was still one issue that stuck out in the back of Wilhelm's mind. West Berlin. It was sitting fresh for the taking. Certainly it was a hotspot for NATO as it was situated right in the heart of the Iron Curtain, but Wilhelm knew it was German territory and not British, American, or anybody else's. It seemed like a long shot, but maybe the Americans themselves were even negotiable about it. Hoping for the best, Wilhelm decided to pen a letter to Truman anyway despite the rocky relations.

From: Wilhelm Pieck
To: Harry S Truman

This is an understandably sensitive issue, given our relations, but there has been growing sentiment among the German people to keep Berlin under German control. It has been considered the German capital for centuries so has quite significant value to all of us, both East and West German alike. Due to that we kindly ask that British and American troops withdraw from the city. If West German troops wish to stay, however, then perhaps that is a negotiation we can make.

Signed, Wilhelm Pieck, President of the German Democratic Republic

Venezuela must fall to the proletariat!

Funny thing is that we were just discussing the current situation in Venezuela at my political meeting.
The training had managed to wear Huxley right out, prompting him to pile as much food onto his plate as he could. If training alone could make him hungry seemingly so fast then he worried what the arena would be like. Certainly there would be little access to food as the objective was to have all tributes but one die off. He quickly made note of the fact that trapping obviously had another purpose here. Naturally, much more concerning thoughts quickly took over, however. He quickly realized that the training sessions had passed so quickly that tomorrow was the last one before they had private sessions the following day. That was truly a point that really began to make him nervous. He quickly recalled what the mentors had said about it. Scores would determine sponsorship.

Naturally, Amber's words about Snow didn't bring much surprise to Huxley. As an ex-rebel he felt he had a pretty good idea as to how things operated in the Capitol. Manipulation. It seemed to be commonplace and Snow had been no exception. This was something he wanted to discuss further had it not been for the interruption by the Avoxes. It was a bit of a shame too as there was so much Amber had been discovering for the first time, but then he quickly remembered the fact that she'd likely be dead within a few days. Knowledge had no use to a dead person, that much was obvious.

Huxley was well on his way into his food when Nixie whispered over to him. She was nervous. The arena. she quickly reminded him of the fact it was just days away and she was especially vulnerable, given her age and size. Huxley could only hope she obtained a decent score in training although somehow it seemed unlikely. Still, whatever happened Huxley intended to protect Nixie at all costs. She needed to make it home. It was unjust a twelve year old, let alone anybody, had even been forced into this sick game. He intended to make that very clear to the young girl too. "I know... We have a couple days of training, interviews, and then you know what comes... Just make sure you stay by my side."
And wow, I hope that child molester fucker gets what he deserves. Good luck.
Whoa, is that a post I see or is that the old stuff? :o
