Anime Planet once (I don't know if they still do) have a system whereby you'd record what series you'd watched, how many episodes and also put some on your 'to watch list'. I bring this up because it would approximate the time you had spent watching anime. About four years ago mine was at two months, who knows what it's like now! (It didn't take into account re-watches either).

My favourites are:

Tengen Toppa Gurren Laggan - This series is just a bit over the top everywhere, and knows it, and that is why I adore it.
Bleach - my favourite long-term Shounen. Even some of the filler arcs weren't too bad.
Naruto - when it's not being filler-tastic it falls in next to Bleach.
FullMetal Alchemist (both the original and Brotherhood) - both have their virtues but Brotherhood has a more consistent storyline, I feel. Also more Mustang.
CardCaptor Sakura - CardCaptors was part of my childhood. The original Japanese series is so much better it's almost an entirely different series.
Angel Beats - you will both laugh and cry yourself to death.
Sword Art Online and Log Horizon - I prefer Sword Art Online but Log Horizon has the makings of a longer term series which has its benefits.
Fate/Stay anything - the remake by ufotable is gorgeous but I still have a fondness for the original, older series.
Pandora Hearts - I think I join any who saw this with: WANT MORE!
To aru Majutsu no Index/kagaku no Railgun - I do enjoy these both for very different reasons.

Any many others. I got into anime by watching CardCaptor Sakura, The Vision of Escaflowne, Naruto (when it was first airing - that's ten years ago now I believe folks) and FullMetal Alchemist.
Appearance

Her right eye is now a dimmer colour than her left, a small scar above her right eyebrow visible to the observant.

Name: Rhiannon Jones

Age: 24

Gender: Female

Weight: 50kg/110lbs

Height: 5'3" / 1.6m

Place of birth: Ladria

Personality: Cautious cheerfulness. That is the most accurate near-oxymoron with which to describe Rhiannon's temperament. She buzzes with energy but exudes very little of it, always active in speech and mannerisms but with a measure tone. With her speech she adopts an optimistic approach, focusing on positives where appropriate but she will not shy away from speaking unfortunate or unavoidable truths. Especially if ignoring them would be detrimental to the situation or patronising. Rhiannon is also generous and thoughtful but not to a fault; she will help others but is not one who easily puts others before herself.

Bio: Born and raised in Ladria, Rhiannon has always had the famed Rohad Academy prominent in her consciousness. While it did not dominate her early life, her parents had no expectations or predispositions for her to attend the Academy nor did she have a burning desire to do so, her childhood was certainly influenced by its presence. People came to Ladria for the sole reason of joining the Academy, or trying to, and that affected the community that lived around the Academy as well.

As a young girl she often 'played Wielders' with other children in her locality, such was the infusion of culture from the Academy that it affected their earliest years. Things changed a little when she, and a few others, discovered that they actually had the power and the group was split into haves and have-nots. They went to different schools and walked in different circles, occasionally muttering a greeting in the street as they passed; almost-forgotten memories rising unbidden to the surface and making even a short encounter awkward.

Rhiannon grew up into a teenager with an athletic build, her fiery red hair and winning smile making her quite the target of affection for numerous classmates, especially the boys. Her foreign, lyrical sounding accent made her something of an exotic although she had been born and raised in Ladria while her parents had not. During these years she realised her affection for her own gender as well as men and became more comfortable with her own person, garnering a local fame for the confidence with which she intimately interacted with men and women.

News spread that Rhiannon was being put forward for Rohad Academy and, unlike some of her peers, she had a strong chance of entering the prestigious Academy. Very few from her neighbourhood were accepted to Rohad despite its proximity due to their low levels of talent and her local celebrity status rose further. Which was why the events shortly before her entrance to the Academy became an infamous matter; never spoken of openly.

All that is known is that Rhiannon left school as per normal and only returned home early the following morning. People speak of the girl's once fiery nature as having been extinguished, her eyes clouded with a new darkness and her trusting nature replaced by a deep unease when in a crowded place. Certainly, Rhiannon is slower to speak openly on matters of some controversy than she once was and is less brazen but she still has her cheerful nature; it is just tempered with caution now. Her sharp blue-green eyes no longer shine so brightly, her right eye especially showing a faint milky-white glaze synonymous with blindness and a now almost healed scar can be seen just above her right eyebrow.

Away from her old life, Rhiannon shows signs of returning to her old self but the healing process will take time and safety, both of which she is unlikely to receive with events unfolding as they are.

Wielder or Duel Wielder: Single Wielder

Element(s): Rhiannon is a wielder of the water element and no other. Her personality matches some of the characteristics of water: flowing easily between moods without sharp, swift changes; calm and gentle or rough and raging; solid and unmoving like water when frozen.

Her mastery of the element is still a work in progress. She cannot yet alter the temperature, and thus the form, of water but feels that particular ability is nearly within her reach. Currently she compensates for this by utilising the force of flowing water for defence rather than relying on the rigidity that ice might offer in the future. For offence she can simply use the crushing force of fast flowing or large volumes of water or focus it into a tight jet of high pressure, as if like a blade.

Beyond the utilising of the basic properties of water Rhiannon has no specialised or unique abilities.

Weapon: A plain, functional wooden quarterstaff as well as her wielding.
Shiny, I like it when there's a plan.

I will make the edit and a few others to the bio. You know when you write something late after work and then see it the next morning and it's like: "Woah, what on earth was I thinking?" Well yeah... that's what I'm thinking now.

Update: Done! I tidied the bio up a little but changed very little.
I'd love to jump in on this - looks like a well-thought out world!

Safe house - Brooklyn

Julius said nothing as Mari and then Diego stormed out of the room separately, refusing to rise to Diego's threats and rage. He had hoped that his friend had calmed down in recent months but he still didn't think logically, as far as Julius was concerned, and had far too much confidence in his own abilities. As Diego left the room, Julius watched his friend go with a sad look spread across his face; it was just like it had been before and they had nearly come to blows then. The one thing he had learned was that he could not trust Diego simply to stand by them and support their efforts, he had his own ideas and would not sign up with anyone who believed in something even slightly different.

Absently, he noted that Mari had also left the building, although in a less dramatic fashion. Sighing, he sat down and massaged his temples with one hand, the other resting on the scarred bullet wound on his upper thigh; he found that when he was stressed it tended to ache more which dulled his mind. Faust was still there and Julius raised an eyebrow at him in sarcastic mirth.

"An interesting crowd, wouldn't you agree?" He asked rhetorically before spinning the chair around and opening the laptop. The two had both left the area he could observe with his power so he had to rely on the street cameras Alexis had hacked for him previously. He watched Diego's confrontation and closed his eyes as the carnage came to a close.

If this carries on we'll end up fighting. I doubt either of us would survive that fight though. No... he'd probably kill me. No matter how bad he gets I won't be able to bring him down.

He moved the streams from the cameras in Diego's area off the screen. If he got intro trouble then it was his choice and he'd reap what he sewed; more likely he'd fight his way out gruesomely and Julius had no desire to see such massacre. He couldn't find Mari which concerned him a little but he knew she could look after herself; his desire to control strategy completely was partially what had caused this divide in their group in the first place. At least he could hope that Mari's attitude towards those without powers, Julius still couldn't bring himself to call them 'Normals' for the negative connotations for those like him, had softened in the last six months. She had certainly showed a few signs to that effect, anyway.

"Sometimes I wished I could kill people like he does... it would make everything so much easier." He muttered, rubbing his wound again. How many more injuries would he sustain in the coming months? He thought of Allistair and thanked whichever cosmic being was listening that he had sent her away until it was safe again, although he could feel the support she had always given him slipping away and his resolve weakening with every day she was gone. He minimised all the programs on the computer so that his desktop picture of her, smiling with their labrador Caesar running between her legs to trip her up, was visible. He closed his eyes and reopened the cameras; he had a job to do, his mental stability could come later.
"Diego!" Julius' voice cracked like a whip, startling everyone in the room with the sudden severity from the mild mannered young man. Air rushed out of the room, winds roiling off the blond passively, in tune with his anger. "She has done nothing to warrant your aggression or insults. I negotiated with the Syndicate so we had a place to go, safely. You, I and Mari would be fine by ourselves out there but you know just as well, if not better than I, that most Empowered are barely coming into their powers. They're confused, stumbling around trying to learn about a part of them they never knew before while the whole world looks down on them for being a monster; we need to be a central place for these people to come to, to learn and to be safe. The Syndicate happen to be a natural ally for us against the government when we're strong enough to win a war against them so it only makes sense not to piss them off." He spoke in a low and measured tone, conscious that Diego had a quick temper these days and despite their happy reunion he would barely listen to Julius if he was seen to be told off.

He sighed, closing his eyes for a moment and thinking how best to convince his friend that this was what they both wanted.

"Look, I agree with you now. We can't let things stand as they are and we can only find any form of peace from a strong position. Whether that's as equals with those without powers or as overlords, I don't know which will be easier to achieve right now." He stood up and limped closer to Diego, meeting his friend's eyes to try and convey his understanding. "We can't do this on our own, Diego. We'll only get so far by ourselves before they wear us down or find a weak point they can exploit. You remember what happened in the Civil War? That was one battle and both you and I were badly injured from fighting a small portion of the army, with no enemy Empowered. The more people we have on our side, listening to what you and I say and following us, the better our chances of coming out the other side victorious and still alive."

He watched carefully for Diego's response, hoping desperately he had convince his friend to stop his aggression for now. No longer was it simply aimed at those without powers, Diego's rage seemed to turn on at the drop of a hat and could be directed at anyone. The way his friend regarded those around him worried Julius; it was as if all he could see were pawns or tools for him to strike at those without powers, or enemies. Part of him suspected Diego might well be suffering from PTSD after the House but that was true of all of them, to some extent; no one could get out of that place and be the same person they were when they entered.

"If we're going to win, we have to take the whole government down and crush their armies all at once. Give it some time and we can take them down, together. Please Diego, just... let me do my thing for a little bit." He turned to Mari, with his easy smile returning.

"Thank you, Mira. I had a feeling this would be the case. Feel free to find a room to make your own, there should be plenty of space right now." He glanced at Faust, wondering how strictly the man would stick to his employer's instructions. "It might be an idea for you to go with Diego, Faust. The best way to keep me alive is keeping Diego alive, I won't be in any danger while he's around. Besides, if we can remove a few of the curfew teams out it'll be easier to move about. Don't go crazy though or they'll come in force. Oh, and..." He reached into his wallet and held out around $100 in notes to Diego.

"Try not to steal anything, although feel free to skip the queue."
I'm with Wolver here, welcome back!
Sorry it took so long - my first day off this week so I had a lot of things to do!
"Thank you." Julius said, acknowledging her effort to be considerate. He made no effort to pick up on her reference to a previous name; it was hardly unusual amongst the Empowered to conceal their previous identities to protect family or simply disappear. That was no problem for Julius; only his brother still lived and he was safe in an accepting country surrounded by some of the most powerful Empowered in the world, including himself.

"Do not worry, we have no intention of creating any friction with anyone right now. Especially not any like us. The government is the only enemy we have, which I'm sure you can understand." He wouldn't bother embellishing, the Syndicate would have done enough background checks on the three to know all of their history. "I should stress that right now, we're not looking to ally ourselves with anyone immediately. Safety is our priority." Here he would have to step carefully; they were 'honoured guests' but only while they were welcome and obeyed the rules which was terribly restricting. For now it was best to go carefully before committing to any one group; the Syndicate weren't the only influential group around.

"Rest assured, however, that if the government threatens the security of this area we will help in your efforts to throw them out. If conflict arises between our groups then we will leave in a non-violent manner." Julius sat down, making sure not to give off any body language signs. "I do have one request though... if any of the Syndicate do choose to visit us here I would like some measure of warning beforehand to prevent any misunderstandings. It would be better if communication between our two groups was either carried out directly... or be conveyed through the same person at all times."

He watched for any obvious signs of what the woman was thinking but she was even more guarded than himself; he had to admire her self control. Diego and Mari had finished their conversation which he had deliberately tried to ignore, sometimes being able to hear and see everything and remember it in perfect detail could be difficult to manage. Julius turned his attention back to the woman and tilted his head to signify he was awaiting an answer and giving her his complete attention.

"I don't believe my requirements are unreasonable, would you agree?"
Post post.

I'm now off to bed - I'm knackered and need a proper night's rest for once this week. Ciao!

I expect plenty of juicy posts for me to read in the morning!
