As soon as Rick saw the monster in the door way, he clumsily threw his dagger at it, not really hoping that he would hurt it, he just need to free up his hands. After that, he hurriedly summoned his crossbow, picked up the girl and ran to the back of the room. Once he got there he put the little girl down behind him, not really caring what she thought or would do, and then he shot three arrows at the things chest, and then another three at the beast's axe hand. As soon as the thing noticed him, as it certainly would, he called out to his new companions, "Some one help the small guy about to get chopped up and then someone please keep this girl safe, I don't feel like time travel today!" he didn't care how big of task he was demanding, or how he sounded, he felt like someone needed to take control, or no one was going to get out alive. After that he turned to the girl, now a little annoyed with her, "And you, could you please not release a monster on us without a warning, were gonna get killed before we leave our cells!" his whisper turning into a yell with rage.
