ChronicleManKasim couldn't help but laugh at seeing the worker revealed as a construct rather than a real person. He'd hoped the big orc would try to block the shot and get himself off balance, which would have allowed one of his companions to attack from a position of strength, but that clearly hadn't worked out. As the ravens transformed, Kasim sighed and cursed his misfortune. What had looked like an easy fight was now a legitimately dangerous situation, and some of them were likely to die in the fray. However, he knew that with death and danger came opportunities for heroic rescues and bravery worthy of tale and song, so it wasn't all bad. As the biggest orc called for war, Kasim hurried to nock and draw another arrow.
The big one's telepathic message came as a surprise to Kasim. He'd never met someone else with the gift, but he had assumed there must be others since some of the heroic stories mentioned people who could communicate without words. Kasim had neither the time nor the interest to consider the offer of fleeing to safety, so he drew back on his bowstring with all his might and sought a target. The parasol lady rushed forward toward one of the oncoming half-orcs, so he took aim at the other, which happened to be nearer to him anyway. Kasim took a moment to make sure his aim was fine, then let the arrow loose, headed for the target's torso and the leather armor that would do next to nothing to stop an arrow from a greatbow. He then moved back a bit, slinging his bow over his left shoulder and drawing his shortsword with his right hand in case the half-orc remained on his feet and closed into melee distance.
