You'll see Lena and see her with a mundane look on her face disinterested in anything but reading. Pale skin untouched except for the beauty mark beside the right side of her lip and a tattoo of a four leaf clover on the side of her neck. She actually has slight waves but straightens her hair to the point that you won't tell. Her brown hair with some lighter strands frame the side of her face constantly. Lena's eyes are an extremely dark brown color that makes it seem as though they're black, staring straight into you. She stands at 5'5" and is as light as she looks. B cups but just barely making her have a completely slender body with no actual visible bones.
Lena would say she's exactly how she looks, a mundane specimen with not much interest in other's affairs. Though you'd think she'd grow up to be a sweetheart with the intent of helping others because of her mother that isn't so. Lena's default expression is a look of uninterest which makes people assume they're boring her when they're speaking. Whether that's true or not depends but it likely is. She fully understands that most people would much rather make conversation with an outgoing social butterfly that goes around throwing themselves into situations and she is fine with being disliked by people that find her boring.
A genuine laugh hasn't escaped her mouth for what seems like years to her. The occasional giggle from a line in a humorous book here and there. It's not that Lena wants a boring life but she doesn't go out of her way to search for exciting new things nor does she have the confidence to get out of her safe routine. Lena's lived a peaceful life her whole 22 years with the ups and downs that she doesn't think too deep about and hope they don't affect her.
Lena is quick to be rude to others that irritate her and she will not apologize. It's actually hard to get her truly raging angry though. She'll come off as cold and bitchy but she does at least have a soul. Lena is unable to bear others physical pain and will frustratingly attempt to cheer people up without even really smiling herself. Though she hates idiocy she'll try not to make people feel stupid. She's an awkward girl that can't even get into romance. Everytime she tries she fails and it's probably her own self-sabotage.

Many would assume that Lena had issues growing up. Whether it was daddy issues or a depressing home life full of hardship and turmoils but that wasn't the case for her. She grew up in Texas with a rifle in her father's cabinet and no sign of a Texan or southern accent anywhere to be found. When she was 12, Annalise Jilians and Thomas Riders decided to move from Scotland to Texas. The countryside where no one really bothered them. They settled in a cabin out of the way. It wasn't a cute cabin at all. It was one of those cabins that you came upon in a forest and there was an eerie feeling that crept around telling you to turn back. Not that the interior was anything bad at all. In fact, it was a peaceful and still life.
A sick Annalise Jilians was diagnosed with coronary heart disease 1 year before they moved, the couple found it difficult to handle family and friends bothering them about her situation with the overbearing elitist grandparents that Lena had. Although anyone would say it was out of love, her mother still couldn't take it and moved her. She was 16 when her mother vanished from her sight after the sickness took her away. She was left with her father who fell into a deep depression and caused her to take care of him instead, not that she minded.
Lena's academic life was just fine. Going by bus every day to a nearby private school until she was accepted to a college in Holland. Though she would have stayed near her father, she felt that she had to go. Her father was falling in love with a sweet southern woman with 3 children of her own and the ability to cook a meal out of just about anything. So, she left her hometown and has been living in Holland ever since. She's had a strong love for books ever since she was a small child so she works part time in an out of the way bookstore that not many visits and goes to college to get her master's in architecture. Lena fell into customer service when she found out that it was easy, especially since frustrated customers insults rolled right off of her.
