I'm hoping to have Thane pop in when a character needs it, since he isn't really an independent character himself. He often describes himself as a weapon, to be used by others

Well, Mattrim is the Luckiest Man in the Universe. So if he needs a hand, you could just happen to be in the are and help out.
THe party moved down the road, Egwene and Nynaeve protected by the bubble, but Mat walking on the outside of it, not bothered by the smog. They did see some people walking down the street with these odd contraptions on their faces, and quite a few of them pointed at Egwene and Nynaeve's fine silk dresses, as much as they did at Mat's Ashandarei. However, they where paid no mind, and continuted to travel down the road until they saw a poster, one that encouraged joining the imperial Guard.
"Imperial guard? Is this a Seanchan place?" Nynaeve asked, looking around. She couldn't see any Sul'dam or Damane, but maybe this was one of the places where they where absent.
"Tuon didn't mention anything about a mountain city, but it could be" Mat muttered, not giving the frowns at the mention of his wife - gods, he had actually gotten married! despite all his efforts to avoid such an act - and so walked into the street and spoke to one man.
"Mia calichniye ti asa din" he said, trying to greet him, but instead accidentally speaking in the Old Tongue without speaking. To Mat, who had flawless understanding and comprehension of that language, it did not sound wrong, but to others, it would probably be confusing and broken High Gothic.
Trico frowned for a second as Ozpin told 'ms Kunrai' to come in. So, she looked around, and then suddenly realized that was her. So she entered Ozpins office in a flourish of spins and giggles.
"Good morning~ How are you?" She asked, before immediately launching into her own sentence. "So, do you have a spare team-mate or something, because ours never showed up and we are three now. Not that I don't mind having two beds but I think having four people would be better." She told Ozpinstill grinning like the idiot she was.
Egwene Al'vere, Watcher of the Seals. The Flame of Tar Valon. The Amyrlin Seat, was the first to come to this....mountain city, polluted by some unknown poison she could taste in the air. She had never heard of a city inside a mountain, even in the Age of Legends, and this choking miasma was horrible. She tried to keep the dignity of the Aes Sedai, but lost the brief fight and devolved into a coughing fit. Then, she was aware of Nynaeve stirring, and tried to stop her coughing, but after a few seconds, it forced it's way back twice as hard. Nynaeve -forwarned by Egwene's fit - stopped breathing and embraced The Source, weaving Air with a touch of Fire. The weave took hold, and a small bubble blossomed from them, roughly five foot in diameter. The fresh, untainted air allowed Egwene to overcome her coughing, and she straightened up, wiping the tears that where starting to show from her eyes.
"Where are we? And, what is the poison in this air?" Egwene demanded, as if her authority would instantly gain an answer where there was none.
"I have no idea. We are under a mountain - and for good reason, outside rages a storm worse than any Cemaros to roll out the Sea of Storms - but where we are, and why the air is so foul, I haven't the first clue. It's not poison though, if it was, you'd be dead." Nynaeve stated, clearly this new world distorted the over-formal speech patterns of the old one. Then they saw Mat, kipping on the ground with his hat covering his face, and threw a rock at him, which woke him sharply. Or though, it was in a rather unintended way, since he sat, drew a knife from one of his hiding spots, and launched it in the direction of the rock. Egwene managed to catch it in her own flow of air, but it was a bare inch from Nynaeve's face by then. Mat looked over after he put his hat on his head, and his face paled. The foul air didn't seem to be making him cough, only grimace with every breath.
"What am I doing with you two? I fell asleep in a tent, not a...." He looked around, and the words died. The mountain city was amazing, and even he had no memories of such things. Oh, there had been fortresses carved into mountains, but never a city inside one.

"He brings up a good point. You and I where in the White Tower last night, but Mat was leagues away, with his Red Hand men" Egwene commented generally, before turning. "Well, if this is a city, there will be people. Let us go and find someone" she ordered, still the greatest authority of their current party. Mat picked up his strange, raven-marked spear and followed, curious.
So, do we all drop down in the same space and time, or scattered?
Mirja wandered aimlessly around the 4th barracks, covered in bruises of varying degrees, and possibly with a broken rib as well. Not that this really bothered her at all, since she was smiling as she wandered. She wasn't exactly sure what she was looking for, just knew she was looking for something. But, a few minutes into her search she gave up on who she was looking for, and sat down in a corner, pulling her Zanpaktou onto her lap. She might as well try to talk to whatever was inside while she was waiting to remember who she was looking for. Or, why she was looking for them. She didn't usually look for people, Except that girl from 11th, the Lieutenant. She would definitely look for her. And then a thought occurred. Was it her she was looking for? if so, why was she in 4th? Could it be the Lieutenant was injured?

Somewhere along the very distorted train of thought, she found herself slipping from the material world, and into the world with materials from somewhere else.
"Needs a cool name, like...Shazam Realm" she muttered to herself, and a deep rumbling came from somewhere beyond the murky black.
"Shazam Realm sounds...interesting" It replied, politely but with a gruff rumble.
"Yea. Wish my place was called that. It's just a boring sereteireitei." She grumbled, absently thinking this second time was going a lot better than the first. If this wasn't the first. If it was, then it was a good first.
Name; el'Nynaeve ti al'Meara Mandragoran (Informally Nynaeve al'Meara)
Age; (Never mentioned, but born NE976, making her 26)
Gender; Female
Species: Human
Abilities; Channeling. 'Listening to the Wind', able to fortell physical weather, as well as metaphorical weather ( events are translated to weather). One of the most Potent Healers in history. Managed to heal 'Stilling', and every other ailment aside from death.
Skills; Nynaeve has a considerably potent connection to the Source, and even matched a Forsaken at one point. She can Travel, and knows how to weave Balefire, but only has the reserves for one shot before becoming exhausted.
Weapons and equipment(if any): he wears a bracelet and connected rings angreal (A device that can allow a channler to use more of The Source without hurting themselves) and several ter'angreal (devices that allow certain things to happen): a sapphire ring (Grows cold in the presence of anger or hostility), a red stone bracelet (creates a small, but highly protective barrier around something of the wearers choice - Sidenote, highly protective by her native universes standards - , and a Well in the form of a slim jeweled belt on her person (Wells allow the drawing of a secondary source of The Source, even when the original is unavailable.
Appearance(s): http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20091212050655/wot/images/e/ec/Nynaeve.jpg
From: Wheel of Time.
Other: Due to the constant storm, Nynaeve will only ever hear that, and it will be hard to concentrate on the metaphorical side of the weather.

Name; Matrim Cauthon
Age; (born NE978, so 21)
Gender; male
Species: Human
Abilities; Matrim, like all Two Rivers men, is a fine shot with a longbow, not quite as brilliant as some who are able to make a shot over three hundred paces away, but still able to hit a target with consistent accuracy. He can also fend off several people with a pair of knives, or though coming off rather badly himself at the end of it. He is also proficent in the use of his Ashandarei (Old Tongue, literally 'Sword Spear'). The blade is power-wrought and indestructible - by his native universes standards - and adorned with two ravens. The phrase "Thus is our treaty written; thus is agreement made. Thought is the arrow of time; memory never fades. What was asked is given. The price is paid." is carved down the staff, but in Old Tongue (Which is very similar to High Gothic) so most are unaware of it. However, he likes to avoid fighting whenever possible, and so his greatest skill remains the thousands of different memories he possesses in his head, giving him perfect fluency in Old Tongue - if with differing accents - and allowing him to become 'the Greatest General in History' due to the unconscious collaboration of hundreds of generals, sharing their intelligence, success and failures with him. Matrim's own prowess is, in part, due to his Luck, which allows him to near-flawlessly win dice and card games, unless it would be more favourable to his health to lose.
Skills; Can fight off all but the most skilled of opponents, is the luckiest man in the world, tactical genius (on par with the universe own 'Ursarkar E. Creed') and speaks fluent Old Tongue.
Weapons and equipment(if any): A foxhead amulet that makes all flows of the One Power (And luckily enough, Psyker abilities) disparate before reaching him - does not give protection against standard projectiles thrown by One Power - and an Ashandarei.
Appearance(s): http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20091212050852/wot/images/3/32/Mat.jpg
From: Wheel of Time.
Other: He likes to gamble, a lot. Often goes by 'Mat' but is called Mattrim by Nynaeve to annoy him.
Might add Nynaeve Al'mera Mandragoran and Matrim Cathoun as well.
Name; Egwene Al'vere
Age; (Never mentioned, but born NE 981, so roughly 18 by present day)
Gender; Female
Species: Human
Abilities; Channeling. Dreamer. Creates Cullendar. Highly imposing presence, shadowing her small, lithe figure. Strong authorial voice. Knows Traveling,
Skills; She is one of the strongest female channelers seen in over a thousand years. She also has exceptional ability with weaving Earth, as shown by her talent for Delving and detecting metal ores, and decent with Fire which is a very rare trait among women, giving her the ability to create cuendillar with immense speed and ease (an ability which she incidentally was the one to rediscover). She also has strength in Spirit as evidenced by her ability to still an Aes Sedai holding the Source while she was only Accepted and her Dream-related Talents. By her own admission, she is also very strong in Air and Water, making it likely that she is one of the rare few channelers with great ability in all five of the Powers.

Egwene can split her flow fourteen ways, allowing her to effect fourteen different people with a single weave, however it loses great strength if split such. She has the strength and depth of The Source to channel Balefire multiple times before exhaustion, and has the ability to turn a massive harbor chain into Cullendar in mere seconds.
Weapons and equipment(if any): Channeling. Seven Striped Stole of Armylin Seat.
Appearance(s): http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs47/i/2009/177/c/4/Egwene_Al__Vere_by_unefleur.jpg
From: Wheel of Time.
Other: Since it is an entirely new universe, Channeling is moot until she can get to know the surrounding area.
