Fael: Guys, didn't you noticed something strange?

Marie: Now that you mention it...

Hugh: There are these strange arrow in the walls...it seems they are pointing the direction we have to follow.

Fael: Maybe we have to follow the route set by that girl.

Marie: You mean...

Fael: Don't tell me her name yet...

Hugh: What? (Didn't he just hear it a while ago?)

Fael: We'll properly introduce ourselves once we meet.

Hugh: ...! (That answer just now...)

Marie: ...! (It seems...he want to be friends with her.)

Fael: Okay! Let's go ahead!

As soon as the group reached a set of stairs, they were attacked by a swarm of ballbats and eggmets


Hugh: Of course, things are never that easy!

Marie: I see a opening...Fael, go ahead, we'll reach you later.

Fael: I'm counting on you guys!

Sliding under the bats and jumping over the eggmets with the help of one of Marie's Stalemate Chess Piece, Fael reaches the stairs, and make his way to the rooftop.

Barry: Well, we can't see nothing since they entered, and the fence that is in the rooftop blocks our view.

Mio: Well, she said that we should go to a higher building, luckly there's one nearby we can use.

Barry: Good, i was getting tired on staying on the same place for too long...

Mio: (Such impatience....) I guess by the time we reach another building, they'll have arrived on Tia already.

Barry: I expect that's the case...

Kael: It's good to see you're enjoying your stay in here.

Uni: Pretty much, in my world, i only had really time to hang out with the other goddess candidates, i never really had any friendships besides them and the makers

Uni: But here, i managed to make lots of new friends.

Uni: Just let it be Kael! He just noticed that we really missed each other, so he's taking another route to the guild.

Flashback arc - Prologue: The Year before the Dream

Prologue


Multilopolis, Year XX13, one year before the main event started and one year before the Zwei Wing Incident...

This city was suffering from a critical security crisis, not only crime rate was high, but monsters appeared thanks to distortions known as Quakes, not only that, but some people from other worlds would end up in the city thanks to them.
In a way to quell down all those disasters, a branch from the Secret Police, known as The World Crossers Guild, was created some years ago. It's results were promising so far, but there was still much to be done.
The city was still recovering from a disarter from 10 years ago, where the Secret Police, in alliance with the Shinra Organization, was fighting the Ouma group in order to put an end to the quakes, the operation was sucesful, but with a price, many soldiers, from both sides, lost their lives in the war, and there was also the misterious death of the Head of the Celest Family.
Descendants from the Gray Togami, Kouno Akari and Blue Tsurugi families completed their trainning and assumed the position their parents once had, now taking the lead, they would have a long way ahead to fight through the harships of the city.
It was the first week of spring, a new school year was about to start, the last year of Middle school for a certain group of friends...

Hugh: Heeey! Sleepy he-

Fael: Yes? I'm all ready!

Marie: Wow! Incredible! You're actually early for once.

Fael: You have to thank Hayate for that.

Hugh: Hayate is...the little girl that lives in that house, right?

Fael: Yes!

Marie: You better not cause too much trouble for her.

Fael: That thought never passed my mind, now, shall we go?

Hugh: Righto!

My name is Fael, Fael Celest Duarte, you might find my family name familiar, after all, it was part of one of the Four Families that formed the Secret Police force that protects this city. After the unfortunate death of my father and a strange disease my mom got, we had no other choice but to focus on finding a cure, but...after years passsed, my mom's condition got worse, and we were running short on money, but a girl named Hayate Yagami offered a stay in her house, she was willing to help us even if she is ill herself...we were so glad for this oportunity that we sold our old house and are living at her house since then.
Now i'm on my last year of middle school, still kinda recovering at many harships, like, nearly getting killed by a strange monster, suffering through a very hard trainning routine just to beat said monsters, we are still kinda powerless...since we failed to save someone during a certain incident...i'm still kinda bitter and i usually avoid getting close to people...execpt my already made friends...but still...i'm afraid that i may let even more people suffer because of my powerlessness....so i have to keep going foward...and overcome that fear...It's a hard path i know, but it's the one i have choosen.
Oh, i almost forgot, my friends here are, Hugh Maxell Black, a laidback spiky-blue-haired guy that enjoys freedom, and is very relxaed, but also a little too easy to get angered, but he has a kind heart in the inside, he usually brought fights with local gangsters, but that has stopped. And my other friend here is Marie Mei White, a girl that loves reading books, and got pretty smart as a result, she constantly coercing Hugh into the same habit, but he said the only books he'll read are History and Science...go figure. I only discovered recently that she's from a lineage of Magicians that use some kind of ancient magic. I heard they were retired and would never touch on their magic again...so i worry what will happen to Marie from now on, since she decided to revive the tradition.
As mentioned before, we are on our last year in Middle School, just one step after High School of course. I have to work hard if i want to help both my Mother and Hayate-chan...and protect them as well...with my friends, my sword Excalibur...and my willpower.

Hugh: I can't believe how time flies...we started our trainning when we were still on Elementary School right?

Marie: Exactly.

Fael: ...

Marie: Fael?

Fael: Yes? I was just spacing out a little...what is it?

Marie: Well, you don't look all that excited...

Hugh: You seem tired as well...did you train too much again?

Fael: Well...you see...

Marie: I know you want to help people but...how many times we have to tell you to take it easy...

Barry: Of course, even if we just assumed our family responsabilities, we can't just neglect our studies.

Mio: Also, it's better if we stay undercover for anything suspicious.

Marie: (He's still a little shy, but at least he's responding when we talk to him now.) Well, it seems i'll be on the same class as yours Mio.

Barry: I'll be on the same class a Hugh... (I'm quite not happy that i have to study with a brute like him...)

Jasper: I'll be by myself it seems...

Mio: I know you can do it without us!

Jasper: I...hope so...

Marie: Well, we'll chat more about ourselves in our classes, so how about we go now?

Mio: Sure! And Barry, make sure you'll behave okay?

I didn't know what to expect from this day, from my point of view, i was hoping it would turn out into a normal day...that didnt seem to be the case. As soon as i entered the classroom, i heard some audible murmurs, as if they wanted to be listened.

Student 1: It's impressive that she's still alive.
Student 2: Yes, after killing so many people.

Fael: ...!
Student 3: Didn't you know? When attacked by a Noise, you pay much even if you escape with a minor injury.

Fael: (Compensation of Special Disaster....)
Student 4: Doesn't that comes out from the taxes our parents pay?
Student 3: That's why she seems so well even after nearly dieing.
Student 2: What a waste of money!

These four students giggled among themselves, Fael closes his hands, not very happy about what they were commenting.


Fael: (Guess i didn't got one of the best classes...)

He notices one of the chairs were far away from the other ones, a lone girl was staring sadly at the ground, he also noticed some newspapers on the chair, he snached one and took a look.



Fael: (After one year...i see this incident again...this newspaper seems old...)
Bully 1: Hey you!

Fael: ...
Bully 2: You better get away from that chick! She's a assassin you know.

Fael: ...
Bully 1: You better do it before you get killed as well, so follow our advice.

Fael: And if i don't?
Bully 2: What?

Fael: Answer my question first! What gives you the right to treat her like that?
Bully 1: S-Silence you...If you want to symphatize with that monster, feel free to do it! We'll just beat you and her down.

Fael: Sigh... (This is going to be a long day...) Then i got something to tell you as well...Leave her alone!
Bully 2: DON'T SCREW WITH US!!!

The bullies charged at Fael, but with a single movement with his leg, he managed to knock the two bullies in the ground at the same time, of course, it called the attention of the whole class


Fael: Seriously...fighting in the very first day...we are giving everyone one hell of a first impression...
Bully 1: Tch! It won't end like this!

They ran away from the room, Fael was surelly going to get called for fighting inside the school, but he had a good reason to do so.


Fael: And you for you all...you better put a stop to all of this lashing!

As a sign that he was talking serious, he picked the newspapers who were on he girl's desk and incinerated them with his powers, then, Fael, choose a chair close to the window, but not before having his attention called to the girl who was being bullied from the entire classroom.

???: U-um...

Fael: What?
???: You...didn't had to worry about me.

Fael: If people doesn't acknowledge others people's suffering...it's more than a reason for me to call them out on that.
???: But still...

Fael: I just can't forgive them...
???: ...

Fael: Don't look so sad...
???: But...thanks to that...everyone are going to hate you as well...

Fael: It doesn't matter...i'm not that good in making friends anyway...
???: T-that's not what i'm talking about...

Fael: People just...can't understand each other if they have completely diferent ideals...
???: That's not entirely true...we can understand each other by just talking...

Fael: ...

Hibiki: My name is Hibiki Tachibana...and yours?

Fael: Fael Celest Duarte... (Didn't i...see this girl before?)

Hibiki: (Hm? I have the impression that i met him before...) W-well, nice meeting you Fael!

Fael: Same here...

Hibiki: It doesn't look like it was nice.

Fael: I'm just...not in the smiling mood...

Hibiki: I hope we can be great friends!

Fael: (Friends huh?) Yeah...

Magio's plan worked even better than expected, even if Magnet was the initial tier of the magnetic magic, Bioroids were after all, made of metal, and since they were close to the group, nearly 100% of them got caught on the spell.


Fael: Nice one Magio! (Pulling an unexpected spell out of random...)

Fael: (That's exactly how "he" operated.....)

Fael: (I wonder if Kael was able to find "him"...)

Marie: W-wow! Wasn't expecting that at all!

Hugh: Me neither, but we better take this oportunity and hack n' slash at them.

Marie: You said your first useful thing of the day! STALEMATE - DEATH FROM ABOVE!

Marie creates statues resembling chess pieces, and proceeded to drop them on the Bioroids, much like how she did it with Hugh earlier.


Hugh: GREAT DISCHARGE - VOLT TACKLE!

Enveloping his body in high voltage, he ran at high speeds at the massive ball of robots and tackled it.

Stabbing his wooden sword on the ground, he pointed his Excalibur at the bioroids, and shot a beam of light at them, after the merciless assault, the group heard the bioroids robots voice saying.

Bioroid: All functions...ceased...


Mio: I must be careful if i somehow fight close to the blonde boy.

Barry: Your cellphone might get caught on that spell....right?

Mio: Exactly...i haven't completed my close-combat trainning yet...

Barry: You're actually...planning to fight up close...right?

Mio: Of course! Can't just stay long-ranged forever.

Barry: (Whatever...You just want to get better than Amami Shuu...)

She went to carry Lunaria's body, while a soldier that came from inside the truck went to carry Solaria's body, it would take a few seconds for them to be put on the pods and be taken away. It was the last chance for regrets.

Bioroid: A new oponent has arrived, but, he's not the main priority.

Marie: Calling us oponents instead of target or enemy...how polite of them.

Hugh: Although, judging by their talk, their goal is the newcomer.

Fael: Because their business is with us...Chen, Ran, don't interfere in here.

Ran: W-what?
Fael: This is a fight we have to overcome without outside help.

Fael pulls his wooden sword once more, swinging both of his weapons at the Bioroids, and having a little dificulty in hitting some of them, since they actually dodged some attacks, Thomas, Hugh and Marie where having a hard time hitting them too.


Mio: At this rate, they'll be tired before they arrive at Tia.

Barry: They sure are effective and smarter...for a bunch mooks. I guess i got some ideas on how to make our police force better.

Mio: Uh oh... (I just can imagine the torture he'll make our policemen will go through...)

An agent from a secret organization that investigate crimes through the Multiverse, he is still a rookie, but a very promising one. Having inherited the sword Galatine Excalibur, Kael is one with the sun.

Kael: Sorry i got here without warning you guys. (Or rather, i didn't even leave, i just had to conceal my presence for a while and investigate stuff on my own...but i can't tell them that yet.)

Kael: Well, it seems my target is reaching its final touches to its plan.

Uni: You mean...that Anza...right?

Kael: Yes, and i heard a lot of other stuff as well, so i guess i would show up and help a little.

Uni: Is that so? Then, welcome back!
