General reading about my life ahoy.

Nearly all these cards are saying the exact same thing, each reiterating the point made by the last. Their message is as follows:

You will meet someone who has the potential to become a close friend or a new romantic interest. Let nothing stand in your way.

The Two of Cups tells me you'll have a hard time getting close to someone you want to be with. By itself this would be innocuous enough, but the rest of the cards, when put together, all stress perseverance through the whole experience. The Wheel of Fortune in this position suggests that you've been feeling unlucky as of late; perhaps you've been growing discontent with things as they are, or life has just felt stagnant and unchanging. Well, this is the change in luck you need. The Four of Wands warns, though, that while things may seem to have gotten better, there is still work to do, and without continuous effort on your part, you won't be able to keep the nice thing entering your life - in this case, that new someone. And then, the King of Swords stresses even further that there will be conflict on the road ahead, but also implies you may have difficulty acting as a problem-solver, or you may be tempted to walk away from your problems.

But together, these cards are all screaming that something good's about to come into your life (if it hasn't already), and that thing is worth fighting for.

General Reading,How will my job search go?

Unfortunately, this set of cards looks like bad news financially.

The Page of Cups in this position can indicate you'll be receiving bad news, particularly regarding family or other social groups - or in this case, a job or place of hire that you want to get into. The Ten of Pentacles means you may have be expecting a comfortable job to come in when it just hasn't. However, The Moon is all about falling prey to illusions or assumptions, and the Six of Swords warns about obstacles of the mind which, if you let fester for too long, will make it exceedingly hard for you to recover.

What I'm getting from this is that your job search might not go well at first, but try not to get discouraged. Letting yourself get frustrated with numerous failures and losing your drive could be the assumptions and emotional turmoil that The Moon and the Six of Swords are warning about. My advice? Don't let the search hurt your drive. That'll only make things worse.

Also what spread are you using for your readings? Past/Present/Future three card, Celtic cross, tree of life, etc?

I'm using a basic spread with one main "subject" card and one card each for the past, present, and future. I'm not very good at the more advanced spreads yet, plus they take more time, and I don't want people to wait too long.

Speaking of which, I'll do your reading after Blitz's.

Meh I'll give this a go, it seems fun. Just give me a general reading, how's life in general going to go for me in the next few weeks?

To start, the Five of Pentacles card suggests a challenge or setback in one's life; an obstacle to overcome.

The Seven of Cups indicates creative stagnation; perhaps you've felt stuck lately, like there isn't much for you to do in life, and you're struggling to get ahead or find something more worthwhile to do with your time - thus bringing us to the conflict presented with the Five of Pentacles. The Two of Pentacles suggests difficulty making an important choice, and lastly, the Ace of Wands predicts you'll have a hard time gathering the drive and ambition to pursue a new project or goal, as hinted at by the Seven of Cups. So, putting it all together, it looks like you'll soon encounter a sort of crossroads in your life (if you aren't in one already), where you'll start to feel "meh" with life as it is and look to ways to improve it, but, if an opportunity does come along, you may be hesitant to take it.

The Five of Pentacles suggests that personal gain can come from tackling a problem the right way, so if these cards have any overarching message, I'd say it's that you should pursue whatever opportunities come your way to improve your life as it is. Try not to let hesitation hold you back.
This is either a really awesome or a really stupid idea. I never can tell.

Anyway! I thought this would be a fun thing to do. Basically if you want a tarot reading, just say so in this thread, and I can take a picture of the cards that came up and provide an explanation of what they mean for you.

Instructions:
-If you want a reading, post here asking for either a general tarot reading or ask about a specific subject that you want some answers on, be it a question you have or a specific area of your life you want looked at.
-If you have something specific you want to ask about, feel free to include as much background detail on your situation as you want. You don't have to tell me anything, but the more I know about you, the easier it is to infer a meaning from the cards.
-Please no yes-or-no questions. They're hard to work with. If you give me one, I'll be forced to kind of dodge it.

General Warnings/Clarifications:
-The cards aren't really meant to give you a concrete answer about the future. Instead, the responses they give land more along the lines of vague suggestions (which is why yes-or-no questions don't work). So just think of them as that; suggestions.
-The cards can vary in meaning depending on the context of the question, and also the person interpreting them. I'm just telling you what I think the cards mean in relation to you and the question you ask. A different tarot reader could give you a slightly different reading with the exact same combination of cards; just throwing that out there.
-This is supposed to be for fun. If you really want to ask a serious question then that's fine, but otherwise, try not to get too crazy about the answers given. And feel free to disregard an answer if you don't like it.
-My tarot deck is Homestuck-themed. I hope no one minds.

Now, let us begin!

Granted that does explain Rose, Amy and Donna. But I'm thinking about Mickey, Jack, Martha. They were still around, hell they were all still pretty involved in the whole field of aliens and time but the the switch of David Tenant to Matt Smith still felt the need for one last goodbye as if after the regeneration he couldn't see them again.I'd include Sarah Jane, but there's an episode in her own series where Matt Smith shows up, so obviously he's still able to run into her.

Eh, I guess Mickey and Martha just weren't as popular. Though you're right that there isn't much of an excuse for Jack.

Although, I did hear an amusing theory that the reason why Jack wasn't around at all during Matt Smith's run is because Moffat can't kill him.

Hopefully he'll show up during Capaldi's run. I really have no basis for this theory; it's just a hope.
