Since there seem to be a lot of Whovians in here, mind if I add one more to the mix?

That would depend on our phantom GM =0

I'm sure he'll turn up soon.

If he doesn't then you all have the right to hold that over me forever.

But assuming Antman returns, he'll probably let you in, Stranger. Still, we'd have to wait for confirmation from him.

(Sidenote: I find it extremely amusing how we've managed to attract so many Whovians despite the fact that this game has nothing to do with Doctor Who. )
Most of the people here have been around since oldGuild.

This really isn't an accurate way of measuring one's oldfag-ness.

I've only seen the show so I can't give any advice as to if you should read the books first or not.It would probably depend on how much of a TV or book person you are.I was aware it worked like that, though in that case it was a friend who put it on. So it's possible they loaded a later part without me knowing. But it wasn't a 'skip ahead' confusion bit that bothered me, it was that outside of the doctor everyone just seemed either so monotone or just "Oh Golly! Look at the ancient stuff!".

Eh, Ian and Barbara are kind of like that, but at least they have a bit of an excuse - they were basically the first companions ever. Now we're used to the Doctor taking a bunch of humans to see all of time and space with him. Back then... less so. Especially since The Aztecs was one of their earlier episodes.

But yeah, those two aren't exactly the reason why I love that era of the show so much. I do like Susan, though. It's not often we get to see the Doctor's family (River and her parents notwithstanding).

WaitwaitwaitwaitEleventh has already regenerated? There's a twelfth now?

Yes. We haven't seen any full episodes of Twelve yet, though. Only the regeneration scene.

Where O where did our GM go? Antman's been awfully quiet these past few days

Eh, it's probably just because of the weekend. I'd give him another day or two before we get worried. XD

Ugh. Game of thrones is so confusing. Then again, I haven't really watched it much.I haven't watched Doctor Who for a long, long time. Gonna miss the bow-tie.

At least Eleven thought to take the bow tie off before he regenerated.

I mean, when Four regenerated into Five, the confused man completely unraveled the old scarf. >< ...So it could've been worse.

@Kaga: I hadn't been having a Doctor Who binge when I made that, I was just in a very Doctor mood at the time. :PI might need to get back into Classic Who, I say a part of one episode it was mainly just some Aztec education thing with a mini-horde of companions that couldn't really act well. I should probably start with a different episode instead. Also congrats on graduating High School! :D

I know that episode... (said the Hartnell fangirl). Did you start watching it knowing the episodes were organized into arcs that it makes more sense to watch all at once (like the Tom Baker episodes, and all the other Classic episodes for that matter)? In early Hartnell's era the episodes all had individual titles instead of "part 1", "part 2", etc but they still had the arc formula.

You wouldn't be the first person to turn an episode down if you got halfway through one without realizing it was part of a 4-part arc. Admittedly a lot of the Classic episodes (especially in Harntell's era) start slow, but they get better. They make more sense to watch all in one sitting.

Give me a day and I can probably list some of my favorite Classic episodes, though...

Mmm well thanks! And good luck with the rest of high school, to you. ^.^
Aww, you're very welcome! ^^" Always here to help, I guess.
I was about to casually say "it sounds like you've been on a Doctor Who binge lately - I can relate" but then I realized the OP is three weeks old. o.o

Eh, speaking of timey-whimey, better late than never, right?

My days recently have been filled with Classic Who (that was probably obvious, though, right?) and Mario Bros. Not Super Mario Bros, though - regular Mario Bros. The one with the turtles and crabs in the sewers, and Mario and Luigi actually act like plumbers. The farthest I've gotten is stage 78. @_@

Also, my high school graduation ceremony is tomorrow. That's a thing.
