Is it bad that I feel guilty that Shoopthewoop is getting attacked because he said he was offended by a generalization about his religion, when I pretty much just said that I felt offended by the same thing and everyone pretty much ignored me at worst and agreed with me at best?

Like really. Either give both of us the proper verbal abuse we deserve, if that is the case, or just let both of us go. At least be consistent. I don't wanna be let off the hook just cuz I have tenure or whatevs, and Shoop shouldn't be receiving extra negative attention just cuz he's new.

Especially since his avatar and signature are awesome. This guy is just a walking mass of nostalgia. Why would you be this mean to a walking mass of nostalgia? D:

Speaking as a Catholic here: not all of us are here to force our beliefs on you, make you believe that evolution is a lie and that all homosexuals should be lynched. And no, I'm not the only one, either. Everyone in my church that I actually know well is a decent human being who also fits in pretty well with society. Hell, the priest at my church has occasionally even spoken during mass about subjects such of these in a rather insightful way - saying that science and religion can actually come together quite beautifully and don't have to contradict each other, and that we shouldn't ban all abortions if there are women that we're hurting in the process.

I may be overreacting a bit here: but I just felt it fair to point out that I find these generalizations about Catholics to be annoying misconceptions at best and offensive stereotypes at worst. :/

Then just put a name in? You're supposed to do that, so the system knows what to label them as. The name doesn't have to match the username on their system.
