I always wanted a how it was made...How did I miss this?

I suppose because (here in the States at least) I only ever saw it advertised on BBC America as the 50th anniversary special was approaching, and it seems like most (American) Doctor Who fans I know don't even watch the show on BBC America except to catch new episodes as they air. If catching up or watching for the first time, they'll usually only watch it on Netflix or something similar. So for the 50th, I guess most people just tuned into BBC America to watch the special (and some people (myself included) didn't even do that, instead choosing to watch it in theaters, as some US cities had that privilege), and Day of the Doctor aired without commercials, so... unless you'd been watching the week-long Doctor Who marathon on BBCA leading up to the 50th, you probably wouldn't have seen any of the advertising for it.

Oh yeah, and then there's the whole fact that it aired on the day of the 50th anniversary in the first place, thus leaving it extremely overshadowed by that other thing that aired that day... I mean I see how this movie kind of only existed as part of the 50th anniversary celebration and it makes sense to show it on that day, but if there's already something else that's getting so much more attention and hype, it probably would've made more sense for them to air An Adventure in Space and Time, like, a week in advance or something... it would probably get more attention that way. Because, I didn't see An Adventure get any attention or hype. All fan chatter was focused on Day of the Doctor, exclusively.

And probably the saddest part is that, when advertised, it was built up as a sort of "one-night event". And I mean a lot of times TV networks say that sort of thing and don't actually mean it but, in this case, I know I haven't seen it on TV since then. :/ Couldn't (legally) watch it till it came out on DVD...

I mean, I say that, but it hasn't even been a full year since it came out. I'm really hoping that this turns into a sort of thing that they air every year on November 23rd. ...Sadly, it'll probably just be Day of the Doctor that fills this role, since it is currently the only anniversary special that the new show has. Still, given the fact that it holds such an important place in the show's overall continuity, I'm hoping they'll realize that it doesn't work so well as a yearly special to look forward to, and they'll decide that An Adventure is a lot more timely. Oh, this old thing.

I go through phases of *obsession*, and you can always tell, because my set will probably reflect it. Doctor Who phase, Don Quixote phase, Deadpool phase, anime phase…It's not that I really get tired of my set, but I find something new that I really like and feel the need to express myself.

I'm kind of the same way.

And, I'm currently obsessed with this movie. <3

Please God, let me meet her. All I want to is to find that perfect girl I know exists. She’s sweet and shy and my age and likes all the things I do, perhaps even is on this site itself. The girl who won’t secretly think I’m a loser, the girl I can cuddle with (even if only possible online) and spent nights talking to and laughing and sharing happiness. Someone who can reciprocate the love I put in, the girl who I can make feel safe and secure unconditionally and can fill this gaping, empty void in my heart.
Please, just let me find this person. I’ll change everything about me if that’s what it takes Please, I just can’t take the loneliness anymore.

I have no idea how to respond to that, so I'll just post another Henry quote;

"It's your 700th anniversary... so have a cupcake in a cup!"

^ She said that to me just now with absolutely no context. Another thing I have no idea how to respond to.

I always love all my sets equally, I just get bored of them and need a change.I don't want to think about the implications of that previous statement.

I feel like this particular set has a weird sort of charm to it that I can't quite explain, though.

I mean I know I'll get bored and change it after a while - happens with all of them - but some stick around longer than others and I have a feeling this one will stick pretty well.

You never answered me at all... I feel ignored...

...I wasn't aware you asked a question.
This set's not as popular as my previous one with the Daleks, but I just love looking at it. I don't see myself changing it any time soon.
