Hello, yes! Go ahead and post a character sheet! For now, I was going to have Moe return to the plaza to watch the show mentioned earlier, so you could join in that as well. I'm also going to run something by you guys, and we can say yay or nay. Right? Lets go;I was thinking of adding in an aspect of danger and kind of a quest. Basically, since so many dimentions feed into Arom, one can be filled with shadow creatures that are slowly coming across into the city, attacking citizens and causing a scare. There is a way that a group of magic users can seal their dimention off, but all the shadow creatures would have to be dead or back from where they came from. This would mean that players can hunt the shadow creatures, protect themselves and others, or help with the magic needed to seal the dimention off. Any thoughts?

Great! Thanks, I will post tonight! And that story line sounds interesting as well. :) I have something I can add to that with my character
Kaiden grimaced as he watched Kijani handle her fingernails. She was intense and he could feel her intenstiy rising the adrenaline in his body. He used this to focus in on what she was advising so they could have a strong match. He wasn't writing them off but he wasn't expecting them to win; he simply wanted to surprise people and himself with what he was capable of. When he showed his emotions he showed his weakness. He inhaled deeply and forced his brow to relax, letting a serene and calm look cross over his face. He stared intently at Kijani as she explained their maneuvers, making sure to glance away every once in awhile as to not unintentionally upset her. He was curious about Kijani, ever since he saw her first in trouble in gym class. He hoped they could get to know each other better after this. To do that he figured he better impress her with their fight.

"I can do this" he nodded to Kijani. He glanced over and saw Flood railing curses to the roof, his eyes widening at the sight of his skin being frozen and healing thereafter. He didn't know Flood had any powers with ice. Turning back to Kijani, Kaiden asked her "I'm a little confused, who are we fighting next?" He looked over to Kalinda. If he made eye contact with her he would give her a wave and a thumbs up, smiling as he saw she had won her round. He hoped he wouldn't have to fight her.

Kijani stared at Kaidan, barely blinking. She felt odd... She didn't know him, but she wanted to trust him. He wouldn't hurt her, would he? His eyes were so nice...Her instinct reasserted itself hard, and Kijani shut her eyes, flinching as if she'd had sand thrown in them. Hissing a sharp swear word, she gritted her teeth and dug her nails into her desk. Of all the powers, she had to be paired with the one guy who had some kind of mind control... Ugh. It was going to be Anthony all over again, wasn't it? She wasn't having it."That... that was interesting. Very... well, there's something, definitely." She didn't want to give him the express knowledge that he could have any level of control over her. "I say you try out some of the fine control courses. They teach the students with any kind of kinesis to hone their powers. Instead of just throwing boulders, you learn how to pick up pebbles one by one. It might help you focus whatever that was." She rubbed a spot between her eyebrows. "Also, never do that again to me, please."She didn't realize she was leaving marks in the desk. "I think we need to run a distraction play. You get their attention and coax the attack, you teleport out of the way, and I come up from behind and strike the blows. We do that as many times as we need to... that way you can do what you know. I notice you didn't mention any kind of fighting skill. You might wanna get on that. Even if you never use it, having the dedication and attention span to even learn to fight well is a good enough thing to learn."

Kaiden blinked as Kijani broke eye contact and he felt a release draw away from him and back towards Kijani. He realized what he was developing was a power in the realm of mind control; to what extent his powers extended he wasn't sure. If he could persuade people he could definitely work with this in the fighting. He found it curious though why Kijani reacted the way she did to his power. "Yeah, sure, sorry about that" he responded with a shrug. He listened to her method for their fighting. "That sounds good to me. I have never sparred before but I do parkour and I run a lot so I have strong endurance and I can move fast. But Kijani, what if I can't distract both of our opponents?" He wanted to cover all bases. The benefit of them going last was that they had plenty of time to create a game plan and to observe how the others win or lose.

Fun fact: Kaiden is right about Flood about 61 percent of the time.

LOL XD

I like your character
Yeah, Kaiden doesn't know Kijani lol. It will make for good rp though :)

Sorry for the confusion. I'm also new to super power rp and hate anything close to god-mode so I tread carefully in this area.
I'll clear up Kaiden's powers and it should help the other characters too:

Kaiden has discovered a sort of mind control. When Kaiden makes direct eye contact he influences the person to feel calm and more relaxed and thus trust him to follow his lead. Once the trust is established, depending on the level of control he is able to hold on them, he can influence them to do as he would like. Kaiden makes eye contact, locks gazes and initiates the trust. Once he feels like he has a strong enough hold he can then begin to influence their decisions. He cannot control them physically or take over their bodies, it is all mental. The trick is when he is initiating the hold through eye contact, unless someone knows his intentions, they do not realize the control they are giving over until it is too late.

So if he wants someone to walk away from him he can do so once he establishes direct eye contact. But to hold the control once eye contact is broken is very difficult and not something he is capable of yet.

Does that make sense?

I'll post in about an hour - going to dinner.
Kaiden thought hard at Kijani's response. She was right, he needed to know more about what he could do if he were to even try using this. It was hard to explain but he felt he could persuade people. When he stared in to their eyes it felt as if they were placing, unwillingly, trust in Kaiden. This was just a feeling though and he couldn't just guess it would work. He watched as Kijani placed herself in front of him and locked eyes with him.

He looked in to her eyes, focusing not on a specific point of them but rather all around, taking in the size, the color, the small movements he could see. His vision was sharp and he could focus in on all the small nuances that made up her eye as a whole. The din of the room prepping for sparring faded in to the background of his focus as he stared intently at Kijani. He felt the pull of control, an essence that seemed to waft from Kijani's body towards him, soaking through his pores. He was definitely taking something from her but he didn't know what. Kijani would feel a sensation of calm and relaxation paired with the urge to listen to Kaiden, as if he had something important to say that could change her life. It was an inviting pull, something that would make her feel at ease not afraid. Kaiden kept his eyes on her, taking a step backwards, just to steady himself.
Kaiden listened to Kijani speak of her current abilities for their sparring and they sounded very much like his. He was surprised at how much she was talking to him. He thought that she would turn her nose to him the moment he walked up but he could tell she wanted to take on their challenege given their circumstances; he liked that about her. He felt relief wash over him as she gave him a smile. And as Kijani kept taking, he listened quietly, eyes fixed on her, taking in what she was saying, which was turning out to be quite a bit. He frowned as she mentioned their first encounter but began to relax as she seemed to let it be in the past. He felt for a moment as if she was saying something more personal than he should hear, a piece of her story it seemed and what she had been through. Something happened to her from someone close, family. He couldn't imagine ever going through something like that. He didn't respond as she almost seemed to not realize what she said, but rather just watched her a moment until she asked her final question.

"Yeah, I pretty much teleport. That's all the powers I know I have. My dad says I will probably develop more, especially going through the school. I only realized I could teleport a year ago and I don't have much control" Kaiden said. "As you already experience" he added. He wanted to apologize and tell her the emotions he felt for her, caring for her, were real even though they were indeed strangers, but he had a gut feeling that he should keep that to himself; so he did.

"You know, there is one thing I've noticed. I haven't mentioned it to my dad, but there have been times when I've made direct eye contact with people, that I feel a sort of empowerment. I don't know what it means but I feel like I have a different sort of control, specifically with the person I'm looking at. Nothing has ever happened, nor have I really tried anything, but it's the only other strange experience I've had that could be another ability."

Kaiden hoped he didn't sound to fanatical. His powers were still new to him and it seemed strange to think of more abilities he could have and what he could do with them.
P.S. Flood, the desc of 'Flood' is all in Kaiden's current perception fyi, not making any truthful assumptions on the character. A lot of what I write is based on Kaiden's view of his experience, right or wrong.
