Sadon watched as Elsa seemed to get Anna to run off, then turned his attention to the notebook she received from one of her staff members. Taking it from her, he instantly began to look through it and see what projects needed to be done. Most of them he was able to read through quickly. But others he would take a few moments to study some of the details. Based on what he had been told about the local blacksmith in Arendelle, Sadon figured he would be taking on the much larger projects. Quickly but carefully looking at them in the notebook, he finally closed it and set it down, looking up at Elsa.

"Well this certainly doesn't seem impossible," he said, taking a sip of his wine. "I assume, based on what you've said before, that your local blacksmith wouldn't be able to take on some of these much larger projects. They do seem interesting, but I certainly don't see any issue getting them done. And on time."

He then proceeded to ponder the payment concern. She did say he would be paid well, but didn't say any sort of amount. It was risky to jump into a deal without hearing the amount he would be receiving. It was something he learned from his father. But as he looked at Elsa, he found trust in her eyes. He couldn't imagine that she would actually cheat him of payment. Letting out a soft sigh and offering a gentle smile, he extended his arm out to shake her hand.

"I believe we have a deal your majesty."
Sadon was caught a bit off guard by Anna's question. He didn't think he had enough time to come up with any sort of decision yet. But now his choice was becoming the center of attention, and he felt he had no other option but to come up with some answer. Elsa tried to bring down the awkwardness level reached by Anna's outbursts, but she couldn't hold back from talking about the subject more. Before the blacksmith could say anything, Kristoff excused himself, stating that this was important business that should be discussed only among the three. Well, he mostly meant Elsa and Sadon, but seeing as Anna was the Princess of Arendelle, he figured she had some interest in hit. Sadon watched as Kristoff walked away into the crowd, then turned back to the sisters. This was business, and he couldn't be too soft when coming up with a price.

"The price depends on the projects. Though you say they're small, having a time restraint changes the difficulty of getting everything done. I don't know how many projects you have, nor do I know when you want them completed," he stated, now sounding a bit like his father. There was always some sort of catch with deals like this on both ends. Sadon needed money, and Arendelle needed things done quick. He pushed his plate out of the way, which a servant quickly came by and removed it from the table for him. Sitting back in his chair, he took another sip of his wine and waited for a response from either sister - though he preferred that Elsa handle the answers due to her higher title in Arendelle.
Sadon rather enjoyed his conversation with Kristoff. It was nice to reconnect with his friend. That's when Anna appeared at the table with Elsa following. Kristoff laughed softly, knowing Anna could somehow always find him no matter what. He smiled at his wife, taking a sip of wine from the glass placed in front of him. It didn't take long for Anna to start a conversation, and the subject instantly made Sadon raise his eyebrow. The topic also seemed to get to Elsa, and he looked over to make sure she was okay.

"Well Anna, it seems that there's a few things around Arendelle that could use some fixing up," he began when he saw Elsa was okay. "Just a business opportunity the Queen is interested in. We haven't come to an agreement yet however."

Kristoff looked over at Anna, keeping note of the way she talked and used air quotes for the word "business." What exactly did she think her sister was doing? She was the Queen of Arendelle and wasn't as wild as Anna, and Sadon was man dedicated to his trade. If there was the potential for a business agreement between them then certainly they would rather discuss privately. He continued to keep an eye on Anna, wondering what crazy thing she would come up with next.

Sadon, not having anything to really add to his comment, took a sip of wine before cutting into more of his steak. He wondered what Anna and Elsa had talked about when they were getting their food, and why she was suddenly so interested in this potential business partnership. She also seemed to act a bit odd about the subject, and he tried to come up with some sort of reasoning behind it.
Sadon has lost track of time as he and Elsa talked in the forge. Eventually they decided to make their way back upstairs, and it didn't take long for Elsa to suddenly be dragged away by Anna. The blacksmith raised his eyebrow as he watched them, not really sure what to say about that. But he just decided to make his way back to the ballroom and find Kristoff. There were probably plenty of things they could talk about after all the years they hadn't been in contact.

He eventually found the ice harvester in a line to get something to eat. Deciding that it would probably benefit him, Sadon grabbed himself a plate as well. He was amazed at the amount of food he saw on the table. Would it even look like anyone actually ate? It seemed that there was enough food for each individual guest to have four meals for themselves.

"So Kristoff, how's the ice business going?" Sadon asked as he followed his friend through the line.

"Well I now hold the title of Arendelle Ice Master and Deliverer," the blonde explained.

"It seems you're making quite the life for yourself huh? You're married now, hold a pretty impressive title. You're not the same Kristoff I knew years ago."

"Don't you worry, he's still around," Kristoff said with a laugh.

"Speaking of that, how many tools have you broken?" Sadon now had that 'don't lie to me' smirk on his face as he waited for an answer.

"I could use a few new ones now that you mention it..."

"I knew it. Some things never change."

With a laugh from the two old friends, they made their way to empty seats to enjoy their dinner. They figured they'd leave Anna and Elsa to talk for a bit now with each other. Plus it gave them time to continue catching up. Kristoff knew that eventually, however, Anna would find her way over to him. That's just the way she was, and he loved her always positive attitude.
"If Kristoff only broke a few things that would be a miracle. I swear I've made more tools for that one man than I have weapons for an army," his statement sounding a bit sarcastic, though he knew Kristoff a little too well. That's when Elsa became curious about their friendship. Seeing as he was only here because of Kristoff, it seemed fitting that the question was brought up. He chuckled a little as he remembered the past. It had been so long since he met the ice harvester, that it seemed they were just friends out of nowhere.

"Well it's been quite some time since he and I met. We were still kids, and I was helping my father at the forge. A group of ice harvesters were coming through town, and they stopped when they saw the sign for a blacksmith. They asked my father if he could repair some of their tools, and even craft a few new ones. Of course my father said he would just make everything from scratch," a soft chuckle escaped his lips as he thought of how much pride his father had in his work. "During the work, I noticed a boy playing with a young reindeer. I gave my father a quick look and he just nodded at me, and I ran over to them. From there Kristoff and I somehow remained friends, and for a while I saw him often because the ice harvesters really liked my fathers work."
Sadon listened to Elsa's story, turning to lean against one of the work benches. He always knew not everyone belonged around a forge, and not everyone could learn the skill. It wasn't an easy trade for anyone to learn. He was fortunate enough to have such a talented teacher. The thought of his father made him smile a little, remembering all the time they had spent working the forge. He didn't really know his mother well, as she passed away when he was young. So his father became his best friend in life, and he learned everything he knew from that one man. And that was more than working a forge as well.

He was suddenly so lost in memories that Elsa's question about his work didn't seem to make sense to him at first. Once the question finally clicked in his head, he offered a soft nod before speaking.

โ€œThat seems to be the most common order I get, so I've had plenty of time to master swords. But I've crafted maces, battle axes, shields, armor. I've even crafted some of the equipment Kristoff uses while harvesting ice. If he hasn't broken any of it that is,โ€ Sadon thought about his last sentence for a moment. It wouldn't be the first time that happened, and he knew it would happen again.
The offer of spending the night caught Sadon a bit off guard. He had hoped he didn't imply that she offer him, as he didn't want to be a burden to her or anyone in the kingdom. But she stopped him from declining the offer right away, and he let out a soft sigh as he followed her. The door that lead to the forge seemed appropriate to him, as being around a forge wasn't for everyone. It was dangerous and anybody could get hurt. As she spoke of how long it had been since it was last used, he looked around the room, impressed with the setup. He did, however, understand the kingdom's blacksmith insisting on using his own forge at home. It was just being used to ones own personal set up.

"I must say, this is rather impressive," Sadon soon said, seeing some swords still on racks. "Your smith seems to do quite high quality work as well." He began to walk around the room, exploring the set up even more. Whoever had put this forge together made it so that everything had easy access. The tools were all organized in the right spots for different jobs to be done. Although he still loved using the forge that his father had built, he could see himself working down here if he accepted Elsa's offer. He still wanted to think about it though, even though he was pretty sure he would say yes.
โ€œI'll most likely be returning to Riverwood this evening. I don't have anywhere around here to spend the night, so I'll just head home. But I'm sure I can spend a little more time here,โ€ Sadon said, then raised his eyebrow at Elsa's comment about the party. He figured that she must know most of the people here in order for them to be invited. Then again, he didn't know much about Elsa or Anna at all. So who was to say Anna didn't know more people than Elsa? Plus, he seemed to guess that she was pretty sociable, based on how he saw her acting earlier.

Sadon was a bit surprised when Elsa handed him a glass of wine and proposed a toast to a potential partnership. As he took a sip, he realized she was right about the wine being warm. Then he watched with interest as she brushed her hand against both glasses, and the wine was now chilled. These powers she had sure were different. Growing up, he never believed anything like this could have been possible. But yet he not only was seeing her powers, but he now got to experience them first hand.

Taking a sip of his wine, which was now at the right temperature, he heard her invitation to see the forge. He could tell that this partnership was not only something she wanted, but most likely something that she needed. There was no harm in seeing what he would possibly have to work with. Besides, he did always find interest in seeing how others set up their forges. With a small nod, Sadon began following Elsa through the crowd and to wherever this forge was.
Sadon couldn't deny the interest he had in this offer. It sure did sound like a good opportunity for him. But he still had to think about things. He couldn't just rush into something like this, especially since he had a pretty big order to fill back in Riverwood. He looked into Elsa's eyes for a moment, finding himself a bit lost. Never before had been lost in a woman's eyes, but she seemed to capture him. Reaching up to scratch his head, he snapped himself out of his little trance and nodded a little.

โ€œI can't lie to you, I'm intrigued by your offer. But I can't give you answer right away. I'd like to see what I'd be dealing with first. However, now isn't the best time. This is a party for you, your majesty. Might not be the best idea to have the guest of honor suddenly disappear,โ€ he said with a slight smirk, a soft chuckle following his sentence. Why was this offer so appealing to him over some of the offers he received in the past? Many kingdoms had asked him to work for them, but he turned down almost all of them for his own forge. And the ones he accepted he took a few days to give an answer to. But he felt as if he could answer Elsa that night on it. Why?

Over at the buffet table, Kristoff watched as Anna got herself quite a bit of chocolate. Her and Elsa loved chocolate so much, he swore they'd eat only that for the rest of their lives if they could. He smiled at his wife as she picked out her favorite ones, then looked back over at Elsa and Sadon. He knew this blacksmith pretty well, and wondered if he would just decline whatever offer she gave him.
