"Better not turn your back on it then." Anders said to Pella and chuckled before leaning back and resting his eyes for the remainder of the trip to Long Way Home.

After their arrival he took a moment to check he had everything and put on his helmet before reaching for the weapons box. He exited the pelican, looking at the Sergeant who seemed to simply stand there. His comms buzzed, "Captain Lasko's squad, please report to briefing room 3 with all gear immediately." he heard the computerized voice say. An AI Anders thought, he disliked it already, it seemed too happy, too.. unpredictable or at least, that was the feeling he got from it. He headed for the briefing rooms near the drop pods, found number three and entered.

Lance Corporal Anders Björkgård sat in a corner in the Pelican with his helmet in his lap. Under his seat, his Sniper Rifle was secured in a green weapon box, already calibrated, cleaned and ready for use. He watched as Pella made sure his weapons were in order before placing them back where they should be. He remembered the man from Arcadia, didn't know him though. He waited for Pella to finish what he was doing before he spoke. "You didn't check your weapons beforehand?" he asked and expected it was a habit, something Pella spent time on to stay calm or something along those lines, but without asking, one could never be sure.

Anders was however, not as calm as he usually was. He had not been briefed yet, and he wanted information, he wanted to know what they were throwing him into. He got the name of the Captain as he was reassigned, but 'Captain Sam Lasko' told him nothing. Though to be fair, he was happy about getting back into action. There were scum, that were waiting for an order to be shipped and delivered. Bullets to be shipped to one address, 'Between their eyes'. Elites, brutes, grunts and of course, Jackals. Of course, they had to wait a bit longer, and so did he.

Important to remember I'm not arguing here. Just think we all are getting our facts from different sources.

The fact that it was noted that Abaskun continued to supply the UNSC means the at times there was atleast some UNSC presence. So the idea of someone being a soldier during the Fall of Arcadia isn't wrong. Just trying to point out that there was no second battle. It was more of a skirmish followed by its destruction.

I know you are not and I hope everyone else knows that too :P
But yes, battle was probably the wrong term to use. I think simply the fall of Acadia is better.

To be honest I dunno what is up with everyone being from Arcadia. :)The only thing I am not sure about is this second battle of Arcadia mentioned in Björkgård history. There wasn't really a second battle. After the first battle UNSC presence on the world disappeared and a vast majority of the population abandoned the world. All that remained was a few farming communities that continued to supply the UNSC. By the time of the glassing of Arcadia the world was pretty lawless and lacked permanent UNSC fleets or land forces. The glassing was pretty much a massacre.That being said, there really isn't much canonical information on the fall. So there isn't anything to say that there wasn't some form of UNSC resistance.

Well, second battle or the fall of Arcadia got some information, mostly that there were no real naval or ground defence. Though I can't imagine there would be no UNSC forces at all.

-Note on Anders meeting some of the others, I don't really mind either way.

Personal psych report: A calm and patient person even under stressful situations. He has a deep hatred of Jackals and will go out of his way to kill them, even if it puts himself and others in danger. Other then that, he is usually quiet though he speaks when he disagrees.

Career history: (Quite brief)
5/4/2523 - Born on Earth.
3/11/2542 - Joins the UNSC Marines together with his brother.
1/1/2549 - Sent to Arcadia.
9/9/2549 - Took part in the defence of evacuation crafts during the fall of Arcadia. He watched his brother die by a Jackal sniper. Was evacuated with other soldiers and civilians.
11/9/2549 - Promoted to Private First Class.
2550 - Joins the ODST's and completes training and tests for being a Sniper.
17/6/2552 - Takes part in the Battle of Sigma Octanus IV.
1/9/2552 - Reassigned to the Sol System and promoted to Lance Corporal.

Weapons: Sniper Rifle(SRS99D-S2 Anti-Matériel). M6C/SOCOM Pistol. Two fragmentation grenades. Also carrying a medkit.

True that. Still, I don't see any reason that perhaps my character has alternative orders from from ONI to secure their Section III data. Would make for some nice conflict of orders, without the worry of such things as operational override.
