(Stupid shit computer forcing me to double post) Anyway, it's gonna have to wait a while. I can't think straight at the moment for some reason, so I simply can't come up with Ganondorf's next phase's first actions quite yet.
Look, guys, one of my goals with these two bosses is to get a feel for how the characters will be played in combat. I'm still working the kinks out. If I have to specify whether something actually could do harm or couldn't, I will. I thought since it affected a solid object (the walls and ceiling), it would be obvious that it was intended to do actual harm. As for the whole Master Sword deal, it's not because of lore, it's strictly a new addition to add challenge. For one, Ganondorf is, as Bee noted, unaware of the Master Sword being able to harm him. Two, they actually have it there. If it weren't present, I'd have not included that detail. As for Samus, if you refer to her sheet she has greatly enhanced strength both from genetic enhancements and augmentation from being in a suit of power armor. Both Rawk and Link got off without a scratch as well, so I'm not sure how Samus not getting hit is an issue. If you guys will have waited, I had a whole sequence with Samus planned that involved some very heavy damage (to Samus, not to Volvagia) for the next post.
The hand, much like the sword, did get cut, but, also like the sword, it only fell a few inches before returning to the arm and fusing to it. Ganondorf chuckled at that and quickly swept his blade, sending a wave of dark energy that would knock Bee backwards. **"Your blade is useless against me."** He sent another wave of dark magic, still seeming to be putting little effort into the fight. After the second burst, he quickly slammed his blade into the ground, creating another wave of energy in the floor in an attempt to trip up Bee. --- Volvagia did not stay on the ground much longer. By the time the Knights began moving in for a pincer maneuver, she shot up into the air far faster than Link ever remembered her being able to, and burrowed into the rock ceiling. As she moved through the rock, large boulders fell much like in the original fight, but this time Link couldn't use his bow to shoot her like in the original fight. After a few moments of burrowing, Volvagia shot out of the wall and bathed the area in hellish dragonfire. Samus barely managed to dodge by quickly entering Morph Ball and boosting away. Volvagia then went into the opposite wall, flying many times faster than she did in the game.
Guys, that last blast was supposed to actually do stuff to the avatars, you know. It wasn't just to be dramatic. I can understand Ajax holding fast, but the others should have actually felt something there.
Okay, he's approved.
When the blade was sliced in two, the pieces only fell a few inches before pausing and moving back to their original position and fusing together. Ganondorf returned to his resting stance and chuckled. **"Impressive."** He then lunged at Bee, his sword a deadly whirlwind of magically enhanced metal. Yet there was little to no opening in his defense. After a few moments, the King of Evil paused and returned to his resting stance once more. After gathering energy in his free hand for a moment, he tossed an energy orb into the ground and caused an even more massive burst of dark energy than before that decimated the walls and ceiling of the tower, leaving them fighting beneath the dark sky in the open air. Thankfully, unlike in the game, the uppermost area of the tower being destroyed did not trigger the collapse, but it was shaken to its very foundations by the blast.
Completely forgot (and having to do a double post since this shit computer can't handle going into the editor), I'm having difficulty making sense of your character, Jerk. Could you be more specific with his first two abilities? They seem awfully open-ended, and last time we had a character with such an open-ended power they started causing massive explosions everywhere with no real limitation that would have broken the RP if Dawn and I hadn't intervened and forced them to place better limits on that ability.
You also have to keep in mind that was just the opening. She won't be on the ground for much longer. Next post is bringing her into the air, and I'll likely have her burrow additional holes since you made the suggestion. As for Ganondorf, I meant there were fewer exposed straps that were less essential individually, where Darknuts essentially had just two straps holding all of their armor on for some odd reason, which never made sense to me. Actual armor had multiple straps per individual plate, so cutting a couple straps would only cause a single plate to fall off rather than the entire suit. That's more what I was trying to get at, I just failed to gather the right words for it. You can bet I'll be editing that as soon as I'm on a less shitty computer that can actually handle the scripts for it.
Yes, I know. Volvagia's strategy is changed up to make her a harder fight. Her entire body would only emerge when she charged forward enough to make it come out. She's still got much of her body in the lava hole she burst from.
However, Bee found out first hand how fast Ganondorf really was, for all of his attacks were parried. Those that did make it past Ganondorf's solid swordplay defenses were still deflected by some form of magical shield the warlock had erected around himself, though from how halfheartedly it did so, it seemed that the bulk of Ganondorf's defenses were with that massive sword he was swinging around surprisingly fast with just a single hand. Even if the attacks connected, though, Bee would notice that the armor was layered so that there were no straps visible, an obvious weakness he did not share with Darknuts. Despite having even more armor, though, Ganondorf did not seem to be slowed like Darknuts were. The warlock, who was really more of a spellsword now, responded to Bee's swordplay with several powerful arcs with his sword, again handling the massive blade as if it weighed almost nothing. The final cleave impacted the ground, sending a wave of energy through the floor and tripping up anyone that found themselves in its path. When Chaos fogged up the room and began throwing fireballs, Ganondorf caught any that strayed too close with his free hand and tossed them back towards the group as though they were nothing, and with a quick stab of his sword into the ground and an eruption of dark energy, the mist was cleared as if a solid barrier had expanded from Ganondorf, though this energy did not push any of the avatars back. Unfortunately for Okuu, she was wrong about the source of his power, and the organ proved to be a mundane instrument. All she really accomplished was smashing up a very high quality organ.
