Bio

So... Bio's are a thing now. Fancy.

Anywho!
25 y/o guy, currently student and living by myself, yada yada.

Veteran Roleplayer, with over 7-8 years of experience in both Pen & Paper and text based, with minimal LARP Experience. I have a great interest in fantasy settings and tends to dislike Post Apocalypse, or generally anything involving guns and modern weaponry. Gimme a sword and the ability to throw fire, and I'm happy.

I have relatively high standards and find myself somewhat disappointed if my posts are below 500 words, preferring ~1000+ whenever possible (sadly, not always easy). At the same time I expect similar standards from my fellow players. I also have a tendency to play female characters in spite of my being a guy, mainly because I find it more entertaining than playing the big burly guy.

Also, you guys don't have to wait for me. We have all the intro posts (for the ones who will currently join. Reap will come later), so just go ahead :)

considering joining, in theory. Personally I would have thought that being in the Human world would be more interesting than dumped in some fantasy woodland, but its your RP.

I made it a different world because there was another RP (Shapeshifting Event) that dealt with that exact idea. That these "Others" (what I call Shifters) took refuge in South America, in a small civilization (inside a magical bubble) that they had built for themselves. I also did it like this because it gives me a world of possibilities (literally). And it also gives you some more freedom. In RP's like these where your characters are powerful, and possesses several magical abilities, you often see those powers as just being there and never being used. In this world/setting, you can wander into the woods, meet a Chimera and kick its ass if you want to. In the "Real World" you wouldn't be able to do that since there aren't really any animals powerful enough to be a threat towards you.

If there are any pre-industrial civilizations beyond the woodlands, I can guarantee the Shifters are going to war with them.

It's likely. But you can't be certain that they did, nor that there are any other Shifters. I suggest getting past the shock of suddenly waking up in an unknown place before you go on a search for other civilizations ^^
Eli? You sure you don't get RP's mixed up? ^^ I think his name was Gregory :P
Sure thing :)
Alright. Posted.

Also, a small note. While Aurelia isn't sure whether or not she overdid it, I can safely say that Evvie wouldn't die even from a point-blank hit of that. She may be weak towards magic, but it was uncontrolled and with no real purpose aside from a direction, and Aurelia isn't one for powerful magical blasts like that.

Chance of survival - 100%

Chance of Losing consciousness (if hit square in the face) - 70% I'd say.

If you have any issues with what happened, just tell me. The ending I wrote kinda hinges on the fact that it hit, but given the fact that she unleashed it before they met each other, and at such a close range, I feel that it's fair to say she didn't get out of it in time, which is what gives Aurelia the time to think all that stuff and feel worry: She's pretty sure she has won, so she now feels sorry for her opponent rather than determination to win.
Aurelia smiled, a large grin that was as likely to chill the blood of any who saw it as it was likely to just make them wonder why she was smiling. It wasn't that it was one out of insanity, but rather the smile one had when something went exactly as they had planned.

She grabbed hold of her cloak with one hand, taking it off in one sweeping motion, resulting in her snow-white hair whipping around her face. Her scarlet eyes zeroed in on Evvie as she roared, the grin never leaving her lips for even a second. Rising to the bait, eh?

Underneath her cloak she wore a simply set of leathermade clothes. A white shirt underneath a brown vest, with a pair of loose pants covering her bottom. A pair of similarly brown boots finished the outfit. She stood and idly shifted her weight from foot to foot for a moment before she, like Evvie, took off in a frontal charge. She barely gave the sword any attention, though that didn't mean she hadn't analyzed it. Medium range, but shorter than my scythe. Made of fire so likely to cut right through my scythe, making parrying impossible. Heavy, but easily wielded by her, given her physical strength. In any case, it's shorter in comparison to my weapon. I'll use that to be advantage.

As she charged, she could feel it; feel the thrill of battle that came so rarely. Sure, the excitement and joy of seeing someone fall for her tricks was always a pleasant thing, but all the tricks of light and shadow and sound could not replicate nor replace the feeling that came with clashing weapons. She spotted a stone in front of her, stuck in the ground but otherwise reaching to her knee. Almost on reflex, she stepped up on it and took off, using it to gain the height advantage.

For what seemed like minutes, but was hardly two seconds, she sailed through the air, getting ever closer to Evvie until, finally, she was within reach. Roughly four metres from Evvie, still a bit above her and still in front of her yet out of reach from even her weapon, Aurelia mouthed two words while smiling, and then slashed down, unleashing the energy gathered in her scythe.

A massive blast, a torrent, of dark energy blasted forward from her weapon[1]; as if she had cut a great hole in the fabric of reality, a full quarter of her entire magical reserves was unleashed from her strike through empty air. Like a tidalwave of magic it rushed forth to swallow up Evvie, tearing chunks of the earth and boulders with it and tossing them back scores of metres.

She landed on the ground a good three or four metres from where Evvie had been when she unleashed the blast. Not used to use that much power, she silently mused, panting all the while. She knew she was powerful, and she knew how much damage she could course, yet she was fairly certain that she hadn't unleashed more than the dragonness could survive. I hope she survived. She couldn't see anything for the dust covering the entire area. She was fairly certain that she would only be unconscious, but regardless, she still couldn't shake the feeling that she might have overdone it.

And the words she had mouthed? "Night Night"

[1] - http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m45ppmGuQs1r3f3ooo1_500.gif Imagine this, just at point-blank and a bit less refined. She's not used to unleash this much power, so it's just a massive blast of uncontrolled magic, even if it is directed towards Evvie and not herself.
The Final Showdown, eh?

Let me tell you one thing: When the Trickster smiles. Beware.

^^
Aah. Now it makes sense... and yeah, I see your point. I did kinda put it in, but only as a sort of glance. I can't do it right now, but I'll see if I can't make a few changes tomorrow.
It's not really because it would break anything by spoiling this, so I may as well: Our group is only a small group of the total of Shifters transported. As of the moment people wake up, there are no more Shifters left on Earth. Everyone was transported to this new world, but there are many different groups. It's possible that you might meet others are some point... or what's left of their encampment? Who knows ;)
I'll be waiting ^^ I'd love to see more people join :)
