Bio

So... Bio's are a thing now. Fancy.

Anywho!
25 y/o guy, currently student and living by myself, yada yada.

Veteran Roleplayer, with over 7-8 years of experience in both Pen & Paper and text based, with minimal LARP Experience. I have a great interest in fantasy settings and tends to dislike Post Apocalypse, or generally anything involving guns and modern weaponry. Gimme a sword and the ability to throw fire, and I'm happy.

I have relatively high standards and find myself somewhat disappointed if my posts are below 500 words, preferring ~1000+ whenever possible (sadly, not always easy). At the same time I expect similar standards from my fellow players. I also have a tendency to play female characters in spite of my being a guy, mainly because I find it more entertaining than playing the big burly guy.

That's fine. They'd be buried in what would pass for the garden of his mansion in the outskirts of Canterlot. I don't imagine him being so wealthy as to live in the really "high society" parts, but a mansion in the outskirts of the city sounds about right, I think.
I'll change it to Comment.

It should be there.
I sent you a link with the old character profile I had of him. I also added a comment in the top of the "Background" part which mentions the few things I changed about him since we started In Nominé.
The attack on Amaretto's mansion was a very quiet affair. It was a group of Nighthooves (Moon and Star troops: Assassins). All that's publically known is that the entire family disappeared, as well as the staff. Literally from one day to the next, the distillery/Amaretto Mansion went from being full of life to being completely abandoned. The only one who knows the details are Amaretto, his wife, In-Laws, and Theá because he told her. Even the staff was never found, likely because Amaretto buried them himself. I've always run with him having a very lose tie to the people employed under him, and especially those working in his own household, so it'd make sense for him to take care of it himself.

So, for official records... Scalpel would find that the Jamison family disappeared, and nothing more. The corpses, however... they'd be pretty rotten and not look like themselves. Primrose (his daughter) had been with the Whitegolds (after being kidnapped) for almost a year by the time he got her back, and that's ~2 months ago in RP, so he'd be lucky if he is able to see any similarities between pictures and the Risen. That is, if they're even in a good enough state to be resurrected.

Anywho, Scalpel being paranoid is completely reasonable, I just wanted to be absolutely sure that you were aware of everything first :)
Well, FML. It took 5 minutes for the thing to post -_- so I typed up a new one, and now it's redundant!

And edited away now, too.
Well, he could if you wanted him to, but at this point I feel like it'd be sort of meta gaming to do so. Also, what does he have to lose? Amaretto has just proven himself to have the artefact of a God, shown that he's willing to steal from one, all to get back what he lost. That should convince most anyone that he's telling the truth is he dares to go to such lengths just to get the chance to see the again. And even then, if just one of the maids end up as being "mindless," that's all he needs.

...Sorry if it seems like I'm trying to control the flow of events, but there is quite a lot of things to take into account here, so him just "suddenly" asking if Amaretto is telling the truth would seem a lot like "I don't want your character's plan to work, so I'm gonna ruin it with meta knowledge."
Don't get me wrong, if Scalpel retains his immense paranoia and he does end up asking (provided all 3 are sane and have their memories), then I won't complain because it would make sense. I just really want to avoid meta-gaming to happen.
I got that covered ;) He actually had three maids. One of those had a child :p
Done xP ~300 words, I think. Coulda done better, but horrible day = less productivity <.<

Edit:
Just posted it into Wordcount.net... It's 300 words exactly :p
Amaretto didn't have to wait long before the nutty doctor made his appearance, flashing into existence not far from him. He eyed the doctor with an unimpressed stare, evidently impatient for the deal to be over and for work to begin so that he could begin with the work of bringing back his friends and family. That is, he acted like that. Truth be told, he wasn't opposed to seeing his old friends returned to life, and he was willing to cut them down himself should they be returned as mindless abominations. They'd done far more for him that he could ever repay them for, and sparing them of an unholy undeath was the least he could do, especially since he would be the cause of it should it happen.

A grunt was the only reply Scalpel received upon his request to get the book. His horn flared to life and out came the book, carried carefully in his pale green aura. It slowly hovered over to the--no doubt--excited doctor, stopping only when it was a fair bit in front of his face; old, scarred title on full display. "I don't know what you'd do with this. I don't know a lot about this type of magic, but even I could see that a good bit of it was hogwash. So I hope you're good at sifting truth from idiocy--for your own sake." He waited for Scalpel to take the book before he spoke again. "As for the names and location: Get me a paper and pen, and I'll write it down. We had a small mansion only, so it's only five names. My wife and daughter, two maids and a butler. Shouldn't prove too big of a challenge for you, judging by what you've already done so far."
